Chapter Text
Yoongi sighed as he settled into his studio chair, taking a sip of his now lukewarm coffee as he jostled the mouse a bit, causing the monitor screen to illuminate with life before opening up Cubase. It was just like any other day, he would start off with the last bit of dying energy his coffee would grant him in the morning, mess around with a song or two until he would become frustrated. Until the song refused to sound any better no matter what he added or changed or moved around. Just as Yoongi leaned back in his chair, rubbing his temple in frustration, his phone buzzed.
Namjoon: Hyung u want the usual 4 lunch?
Yoongi spared a moment to check the time, finding that it was actually a little past their usual lunchtime. He wondered if Namjoon was having the same difficulties he was having. Yoongi was about to reply when another message popped up on the screen first.
Jimin: isn’t this kinda late? Don’t u guys eat earlier then this?
Jin: well late or not my break just started
Jin: I’m coming over fools
Jungkook: TAKE ME TOO
Taehyung: NOOO Kookie if I have to suffer through this class then you’re going to suffer with me!
Jimin: this is child abuse
Taehyung: *kissy face emoji*
Jimin: what is everyone’s plans for tomorrow?
Jungkook: What’s tomorrow again?
Jin: I’m busy.
Taehyung: THE DAY OF LOVE YOU FOOL
Namjoon: I’ve made a mistake by posting in this chat.
Jungkook: well since it’s a special occasion
Jimin: don’t you dare bring the Xbox to Tae and my apartment
Taehyung: (don’t tell Minie but BRING IT KOOK)
Jungkook: Sure thing Jiminie hyung!
Jungkook: (I’ll start packing it now Tae. Mission going as planned.)
Jimin: I can SEE your messages!
Jin: Well I have plans with my actual boyfriend tomorrow.
Namjoon: Jin hyung you’re talking about me right? Are you talking about me?
Jin: Namjoon we’ve been dating for three years.
Namjoon: Yes but still
Yoongi: You’re all hopeless. Yes the usual is fine Joon-ah.
Taehyung: Ooohhhhh look who finally joined in on the fun!
Jungkook: if anyone needs something to do tomorrow, it’s gonna be Yoongi hyung hands down.
Jimin: very funny Kook.
Jin: that was actually pretty good Kookie!
Namjoon: I’m lost.
Yoongi: I’m lost pt.2
Taehyung: He said, “hands down” get it? Cus hyung is always trying to hold our hands?
Namjoon: Oh that’s hilarious
Yoongi: I do in fact, NOT.
Jin: Um, you kinda do Yoongi-ah.
Jimin: Seconded!
Yoongi: I’m turning my phone off, Joon knock when you get food.
Jungkook: Yoongi hyung wait!
Yoongi quickly turned his phone off, sighing. He was hoping for a moment of relief, for comfort, something . Instead he got his five best friends making fun of him. Don’t get him wrong, he loved them, loved them more than anything really, but sometimes, sometimes they could be, a bit more then he’s willing to handle in any given moment.
Just then, a knock came from his studio door, and a familiar face popped through, “Yoongi hyung? I’ve got food and another hyung.”
“Oh joy.” Yoongi spoke but with a small smile as Namjoon and Seokjin make their way into his studio.
Seokjin plopped himself down on the couch, already digging into the take out Chinese noodles that had been their so called, ‘usual’ as Namjoon handed Yoongi his share, “It is a joy, happy galentine's day by the way.”
“Galentine's day?” Yoongi questioned as Namjoon went to join Seokjin on the couch.
“Yah Yoongi, just how out of touch with the youth are you?” Seokjin questioned, popping his feet on the coffee table in front of them and leaning into Namjoon’s side as the two ate.
Yoongi smirked, “You know I am younger than you, right?”
Seokjin rolled his eyes as Namjoon spoke with a dimple filled smile, “Galentine's day is like, valentine’s day but, for the gals.”
“And we’re dudes.” Yoongi pointed out lamely.
“Gay dudes.” Seokjin defended, and Yoongi nodded, “Point taken.”
“You know,” Seokjin started after a moment, “What are your plans for tomorrow Yoongi-ah?”
Yoongi narrowed his eyes with cheeks full of noodles, “I am not third wheeling your valentine’s day date.”
Namjoon made a face, looking accusingly towards Seokjin, “Ew, please no! Hyung he can’t come-“
“In no world would I be inviting Yoongi to our date night, the locals would be too concerned thinking that two grown men are taking their angsty teenage son out in public.” Seokjin defended himself.
Despite the verbal sword in his chest Yoongi laughed along with Namjoon and Seokjin, “First of all, just because I’m short doesn’t mean I look like a kid!”
“Anyway,” Seokjin quickly changed the topic as their laughter died down, “Back to what I was trying to say. Yoongi-ah since you don’t have any plans tomorrow, I have an idea for you.”
“An idea.” Yoongi echoed.
Seokjin nodded, “But you have to keep an open mind alright? Have you ever heard of professional cuddling?”
“What?!” Namjoon questioned, almost choking on his noodles.
“Never in my life.” Yoongi spoke deadpan, not liking the direction the conversation was heading.
“Well,” Seokjin smirked, “You have now. And I just so happened to be on the website the other day and they’re having a valentine’s day sale, I think it would be good for you to give it a try, yeah?”
“No.” Yoongi said immediately.
But Namjoon’s features changed, the youngest tentatively speaking, “You know hyung, that might actually not be a bad idea?”
“You’re just agreeing with him because he’s your boyfriend.” Yoongi stated quickly.
Causing Seokjin to sigh in frustration, “Look I’m not saying you have to. All I’m saying is to give it a chance, yeah? It might make you a little less…I don’t know, Joonie what’s the word I’m looking for?”
“Bitter?”
“Bitter! Yes. Less bitter about this whole dating and love thing.” Seokjin supplied.
Yoongi groaned as he continued eating, the other two laughing along, “You’re both ridiculous.”
And like that, their lunch time passed with the friendly and playful banter that their group had always fallen into so easily before Namjoon returned to his studio across the hall and Seokjin to his office a block away.
Yoongi had almost forgotten about the whole conversation until another rut in his song came up and his phone was buzzing again, quickly he spared a moment to check it.
Seokjin: Yoongi-ah, here’s the link.
Seokjin: Just think about it ;)
Seokjin: [Link Attached]
Yoongi sighed, deciding to click the link, after all, what’s the worst that could happen? It wasn’t like he was actually going to go through with it. On the website, despite being told it was a thing, Yoongi was actually surprised. There really were professional cuddlers, and it was…
Expensive.
But, the valentine’s day deal of 40% off made it significantly cheaper. Significantly more affordable-
But he was definitely, not going to request a professional cuddler. He quickly moved his thumb to exit out of the application when something caught his eye. “Specialties – Hand-holding” And curiosity got the best of him, just taking a look, Yoongi decided to explore the professionals specializing in hand-holding. Surprisingly, there were many.
But there was one who caught his eye after filtering through pages of professionals. A boy with orange hair and a heart shaped smile with ocean deep dimples on each side, the boy looked to be about his age and…as far as Yoongi could tell, he seemed pretty normal.
Or maybe his attention was drawn to the funny but not really funny bio written by the boy,
“Need a Hand?”
Yoongi snickered as he took a moment to think through the pros and cons of the situation. The pros, he deduced, would be the kids getting off of his back for once and it would make Seokjin and Namjoon happy at least. The cons, he would have to hold someone’s hand for two hours.
Well, it’s just two hours. He finally came to the conclusion as he quickly booked the boy, “Jung Hoseok” for the next day and hoped that he wouldn’t regret it.
__________________________
Yoongi followed through the motions, every day seemed to be a similar version of each and every other day. Wake up, clean up, make coffee, go to work, cue angsty musical frustration, eat with friends, back to angsty musical frustration, go home, wash, rinse, repeat.
And he had no plans for that to change as he sat down in front of the computer, jostling his mouse to wake up the screen as he took a hardy sip of his coffee, a little sweeter than yesterday, when he got a message.
Unknown: Hello! My names Jung Hoseok, we have a cuddle appointment today and I know I’m a few minutes early but I’m afraid I’m not sure where you are? I’m currently in the lobby of the buildings address you gave in the booking ^^
Yoongi’s eyes flew open, he’d completely forgotten about the appointment he’d made yesterday and inwardly groaned as he checked the time. Apparently a ‘few minutes early’ to this Jung Hoseok fellow was exactly 32 minutes. Yoongi pinched his nose as he sighed, another text came through.
Unknown: If you could kindly tell me which floor and which room we’re meeting in, I can meet you there in a jif~
This gave reason for Yoongi to scuff, and maybe chuckle. Because really, who says “jif” anymore? Quickly, Yoongi began to type the inevitable, exactly 31 minutes earlier then expected now.
Yoongi: You’re early.
Unknown: Better early than never! :)
Yoongi: I’m pretty sure that’s not the saying…
Yoongi: But you’re in the lobby you said?
Unknown: Yes!
Unknown: I have to say, it is a pretty exquisite lobby. You guys must really work hard here huh?”
Yoongi smirked despite himself, a small swell of pride rising in his chest.
Yoongi: You could say that.
Yoongi: Stay where you are, I’ll meet you there.
Hoseok: Aye aye captain!
Yoongi found himself chuckling again, before quickly making his way out of the studio and down the elevator. Taking deep breaths and reminding himself that whatever happens, it’s just two hours. He can do this.
When the elevator doors open again, it’s to the lobby. And Yoongi finds it relatively empty save for the boy with orange hair playing on his phone in one of the oversized couches, an objectively adorable pout painted on his lips.
That has to be him.
Yoongi made his way over to the boy, “Jung Hoseok?” Causing the younger to look up, startled with wide eyes before his expression melted into a heart shaped smile that seemed to glow more in real life then online.
“Yes! And you must be Min Yoongi-ssi?”
“Yeah.” Yoongi spoke as he noticed the younger man’s outstretched hand towards him, quickly Yoongi met him half way in a handshake. Not missing the way their hands fit together, Yoongi’s larger and veiner hands contrasting greatly with Hoseok’s smaller and longer ones, but somehow fitting. “So, um. Follow me?”
Hoseok nodded, retracting his hand with a smile that seemed to paint stars in his eyes, “You’re the boss!”
And Yoongi lead them to the elevator, an awkward kind of silence developing between them as the floors passed by until Hoseok started, rather abruptly, “So what do you do? Do you work here?”
“Um, yeah.” Yoongi started, eyes focused on the gage above the doors indicating the floors they passed, “I’m a musical engineer. But you could just say I’m a producer.”
“Woah...that’s so cool.” Hoseok spoke, and Yoongi could almost see the awe in the boys eyes. “So you’re like, a music producer for one of the most prestigious entertainment companies in Seoul?”
Yoongi shrugged as they finally reached their floor, walking through the doors as they opened, “It wasn’t always like that. When I started working here, we had maybe like, five employee’s? Maybe seven, it’s been years though.”
Hoseok hummed, and a moment later replied as they made their way down the hallway, “That must be hard then.”
Yoongi narrowed his brows in confusion as he stopped in front of his studio door, entering the passcode, “What must be hard?”
“You know, building up a company like this. It probably took a lot of time and effort, and I’m guessing you haven’t been putting that same amount or even close to the amount of time and effort into yourself.” Hoseok spoke thoughtfully as they made their way into Yoongi’s studio.
“You sound like you’re diagnosing me. I’m not some old creepy man who needs a hug.”
Hoseok laughed, “Hey there’s nothing wrong with that.” Before whistling, “Is this your office?”
Yoongi made his way to the chair in front of the monitor, taking a seat and waking up the computer for the second time that day, “Yeah, it’s not an office though, more like a studio. So listen,” He spoke as he turned in his chair to look at Hoseok again, who was standing a bit awkwardly in the middle of the room, “I’m not trying to be rude here, but I just booked an appointment so that my friends would stop nagging me. I’ll still pay you the full amount, but you can, uh, you can just hang out here? Like on the couch or something for two hours?”
Hoseok looked at him funny for a moment, “Are you...are you sure? I wouldn’t feel right charging you for that though...I mean if that’s what you want-”
“It is what I want.” Yoongi finished for him, wanting to hurry and get back to work, “Maybe play on your phone or something? Don’t worry about the money.” He spoke before turning around in his chair to stare back at his computer, “But I’m not paying you for the extra thirty minutes.”
Hoseok chuckled behind him and it was...a sweet sound. It reminded him of the coffee he had earlier that was just a tad bit sweeter than usual. But it didn’t take long to practically forget Hoseok was there at all as Yoongi lost himself in the music he was producing. Well, trying to produce. It wasn’t his fault that the sounds just weren’t working out the way he wanted them too. He sighed, trying another sequence of chords that might just do the trick, playing the song back from the top-
And no. That didn’t work either.
Yoongi sighed, squeezing his eyes shut as he rubbed his temple with one hand, the other mindlessly picking at the flaking leather on the armrest of his chair. This wasn’t working, nothing, seemed to be working. But maybe this was a sign? Maybe this was the message from the universe telling him he’s done, lost his touch, the golden days are long behind him now, his mind began reeling. Spiralling and going down, down, down, until,
Yoongi snapped his eyes open in surprise, finding Hoseok sitting beside him on the ground, a gentle, and maybe nervous smile on his lips as he gently laid his hand atop Yoongi’s own on the chair’s armrest. It was quiet, perhaps a bit awkward, and Yoongi was ready to snatch his hand away before Hoseok began drawing comforing shapes onto Yoongi’s skin with his thumb.
And, well, Yoongi’s resolve to move his hand away from the kind gesture began to die down more with each second that passed.
Hoseok spoke first, quiet, “Tell me if you’d like me to stop…” He hesitated, eyes on their hands, “Or if you’d like me to do more.”
Yoongi didn’t know what to say, he didn’t know what he himself actually wanted in that moment. So he settled for a deep breath, and brought his attention back to his computers monitor, using his other hand to work. Trying to ignore the small comfort that seemed equivalent to a deep breath, or a cool breeze on a humid day, that Hoseok's hand gave him. Gentle circles tracing his veins, claiming him.
Again, Yoongi lost himself in his work. But it was with a clearer mind this time, a gentler sigh. Which is why it came as a surprise when an alarm went off suddenly. Yoongi turned towards Hoseok, finding that their hands had somehow moved to interlace their fingers together in a holy palmers kiss. Hoseok looked up towards him, a sheepish smile on his cheeks as he waved his phone with the timer, “Sorry, I didn’t mean to startle you. That was just the ten minute bell.”
“Ah, so I let you go in ten minutes, right?” Yoongi asked, and if he sounded deflated in his voice, Hoseok didn’t mention it.
The boy just nodded, “Yep, so, since there’s only ten minutes left do you…”
“Hoseok I’ve got to work-”
“Do you want a hug?” Hoseok interrupted him quickly, “I mean, my specialty is hand-holding but I also give really good hugs. I mean, everyone's different and it depends on what kind of hug you’re looking for but I mean not to toot my own horn but if I could give myself a hug then I wouldn’t say no-”
“Oh my god-” Yoongi broke through Hoseok’s rambling, “If I let you give me a hug will you stop talking sixty miles an hour?”
Hoseok smirked, getting up quickly and holding his arms out wide, open and ready, “I’m here to serve!”
Yoongi sighed, giggling, because really, today was supposed to be like any other day. Normal. Not with a cute boy in his studio, arms wide, asking nothing more than a hug. And also Yoongi’s money but still, a hug. Hoseok cleared his throat and nudged Yoongi’s knee with his toe before the boy got up from his chair, and joined Hoseok’s embrace.
The first thing Yoongi registers, is how his face fits perfectly in the crook of Hoseok’s neck, and how Hoseok in turn, nesles right up into Yoongi’s own. Hoseok’s arms wrapping around him tight, but not too tight, like a weightful reminder around him that he’s there. He’s real and in the moment, he’s held. Taken care of. Loved. Safe.
Yoongi didn’t know why he felt the pressure build behind his eyes with the escape of a relieved sigh as he wrapped his own arms just as tightly around Hoseok. Yoongi tried to keep it together, to not fall apart completely in this strangers arms-
“It’s okay to cry, you know.” Hoseok’s voice was soft, muffled by Yoongi’s shirt, “Lots of people do. I’m here for you, anything you want or need. I’m here to talk, to listen, to hold, to comfort, whatever you need, I’ll be that for you.”
Yoongi tightened his arms around Hoseok, telling himself it was because he didn’t want the other suddenly leaving the embrace and finding Yoongi, a grown ass man, with tear streaks painting his cheeks. Telling himself it wasn’t because Hoseok smelled like honey and lavender, and his warmth radiated that of the spring sun after a harsh winter.
Hoseok’s hand traveled up to hold the back of Yoongi’s head and rub soothing circles into the boys back as Yoongi’s form started to shake. Every fiber in his being trying to fight the oncoming sobs, but when Hoseok started to sway them back and forth slowly, humming some unknown tune under his breath, the final string broke.
Why was Yoongi sobbing into a complete strangers shoulder? This stranger who knew virtually nothing of him and who he knew nothing of. Nothing, other than the fact that Hoseok’s hugs really were something special. He knew deep down it wasn’t true, that the timer would go off again and the warmth, the comfort, the safety, would leave him to the bitter cold and the loneliness that he’d found refuge in after all these years. But at least in this moment, with his cries slowly dying down, only a hiccup and stray tear every so often now, in Hoseok’s arms, he really did feel special. Like he was worth something more, like he really was special.
And a moment was all it took, for the calm to start to flow through his veins, for him to follow the melody of Hoseok’s humming through the vibrations in his chest, for the warmth to grant him a home full of sunflower smiles that smelled of lavender and honey.
But he still had work to do, and it didn’t seem like Hoseok was going to let up any time soon. So Yoongi, rather reluctantly, moved away from the embrace, slowly, as if he would burn the other, or maybe himself, if he left it too fast.
Hoseok met him with a smile that matched the warmth of his arms, “How do you feel?”
Yoongi smiled back, feeling his gums show but not finding a reason to care, he felt refreshed, he felt whole, he felt, “Better.”
“Good.” Hoseok’s smile was smaller, dimmer, like the sunset as he continued to gently run a hand comfortingly across Yoongi’s forearm while the other loosely held Yoongi’s other hand. “I should probably get going, I’ve got a few other appointments today but…” He hesitated, slowly and gradually releasing his hands from Yoongi, leaving the elder to feel like a lost ship in the ocean, “If you ever need a hug, or a hand to hold, you can always give me a call, yeah?”
Yoongi nodded, not knowing what to do with his exposed hands now, settling for stuffing them in his jean pockets, “Sorry for all, uh...all that.”
But Hoseok giggled, waving him off, “It happens a lot, don’t be sorry.” He shrugged, “It’s scientifically proven that we kinda need human touch to survive, and when we go too long without it, it’s only natural.”
“But still,” Yoongi tried, “I’m a grown man, I shouldn’t be falling apart like that.”
Hoseok looked towards him with something unreadable in his eyes, before starting, “You being a grown man, doesn’t make you any less of a human. And last time I checked, I’m pretty sure feeling emotion and all that stuff is a pretty human trait to have.” He smirked, making his way to the door, “Sorry to say but it seems you’re stuck with this species and all it’s unnecessary yet kinda necessary emotion.”
Yoongi rolled his eyes, laughing, “Wow, poetic.”
“I try.” Hoseok smirked, his hand on the handle, “Just give me a call, or text me if you ever want to schedule something again in the future. You can also check the website again too, I know I’m not the best at some things so if you like someone else who’s better-”
“I’ll stick with you.” Yoongi cut him off, perhaps a little faster and more forceful then he intended, but he couldn’t find it within himself to care, “You’re selling yourself short Hoseok, your hugs are pretty top-tier I must say.”
With this, Yoongi could swear he’d seen fireworks light up in Hoseok’s dark brown eyes. “I’ll probably see you again then, Yoongi-ssi!”
Yoongi smiled as he gave a small wave as the boy opened the door and walked through, “Yeah, we’ll see.”
With one last smile, Hoseok was gone, leaving the door to shut slowly behind him. Yoongi took a moment to just breath, there were a million and one things running through his mind but the most prominent, the one that over flooded the rest, was just how nice that whole ordeal had been. Maybe what Hoseok was saying was right, that humans really do crave physical touch and he had just been away from it for too long.
Or maybe, Yoongi thought, as he returned to his desk and checked the time, finding it to be thirty minutes after the time they were supposed to end. Yoongi opened his phone and hurriedly checked his email, expecting to be billed for three hours instead of two, only to find that he wasn’t charged for three or two, just one.
Yoongi chuckled, shaking his head. Maybe, it was just the boy who’s smile could light up any dark room, who’s kindness rolled off his shoulders in waves and the warmth following suit.
Maybe, maybe it was just Hoseok.
__________________________
After Yoongi’s so called, ‘cuddle appointment’ with Hoseok, the days went by with relative ease, blurring all together into what one would call, a week.
Even with the strange comfort Hoseok had given him lingering in Yoongi’s mind and chest, there was still that thought that plagued his mind every now and then, why he was only charged for one hour? Yoongi vaguely wondered if it was something Hoseok did for other customers too, if Yoongi was special at all. Speaking of which, how did Hoseok act around other customers? And how did they treat him ? Yoongi’s thoughts spiralled and he felt a wave of worry overcome him.
Seokjin who was sitting across from him, confidently stealing one of Namjoon’s orange chickens as he broke Yoongi form his spiralling trance, “So Yoongi-ah, when’s your next appointment with Hoseok?”
“Wait,” Yoongi spoke with caution, “How do you know his name?”
Seokjin smirked and that’s all Yoongi needed, “Dammit Taehyung.”
Namjoon pointed his chopsticks accusingly towards Yoongi, “Hey! I bet you don’t use that kind of language in front of Hoseok.”
“Why would I?” Yoongi took to defense, “I barely know the guy.”
“Which brings us back to my first question,” Seokjin started, “When are you two cuddling it out next?”
Yoongi shrugged, “Never? Never.” However the statement backfired on his mental state, because if he didn’t book Hoseok, who would? Who would he be wrapping his arms around or even worse, who would be wrapping their arms around him ? What if their intentions were never pure? What if-
“You’re thinking.” Namjoon started, eyes looking towards Yoongi watchfully.
Even though what Namjoon said was more of a statement then a question, Yoongi took it as such, “Ah, yeah. I was just thinking about how...well he only charged me for one hour. And technically he was here for three.”
Seokjin practically drops his chinese carten, “You’re joking.”
“Um, no?”
“That’s perfect!” Namjoon started, his eyes lighting up, “You have his number, right? Just text him and ask if you can make up for the other two hours by getting him coffee or dinner!”
Seokjin smiled proudly towards his boyfriend, “The perfect segway into a date!”
“Wait-wait hold up, who said I wanted to date this guy?” Yoongi questioned, unbelieving.
Namjoon shrugged, “Well you weren’t immediately repulsed by his presence if you let him hang out with you for three hours, I take that as a pretty good sign you want to get in his pants.”
“Or that you want to marry him!” Seokjin supplied in a dream like voice.
Yoongi scuffed. “Look, just because I didn’t banish this guy right after meeting him does not mean I want to suck his dick or grow old with him. He’s just…” Yoongi hesitated, how could he describe the man who walked into his life with a sunshine smile, held him like he meant it and never questioned why he cried, “He seems like a cool guy. That’s all. Nothing more, nothing less.”
Seokjin looked towards Yoongi, deadpan, “Min Yoongi you’ve been my best friend for twelve years now and it took you the first six to even call me an acquaintance of yours. Let alone think I’m cool or your friend .”
Namjoon noded, “I mean that’s some pretty factual evidence Yoongi hyung, If you’re calling this guy cool after one meeting, that’s some fate shit right there.”
Yoongi rolled his eyes, frustrated. “Jin hyung I still don’t think your cool and whatever, so what, I think the guy’s cool. He’s gives great hugs, he’s got a smile that lights up a whole fuckin room and he doesn’t even know it I bet, and he’s got these- these cute little dainty hands that are soft and go on for days. So yeah, I wouldn’t mind seeing him again. Especially if I get to spend time with him rather then some messed up old man who god knows what their intentions are.”
Once his outburst had finished, he dared to look up and meet Seokjin and Namjoon’s gazes which had been eerily quiet for entirely too long knowing the two of them. And when he finally met his eyes with their own, he instantly regretted it as both of the boys sitting on the couch wore wide smiles and knowing eyes.
Seokjin was the first to speak, “So, I think you might have missed my first question. When’s your next appointment with Hoseok?”
Yoongi groaned as the two boys snickered.
_
Later that day, Yoongi made a mental note to book another appointment with Hoseok. To protect him from those booking appointments with less pure intentions, is what he told himself. After Yoongi had messed around with the same song that just refused to come together, he could feel the all too familiar frustration seeping back into his bones when his phone dinged.
Hoseok: Noona can you write my name down for studio B tonight? I have to work on the choreo for next month and I just can’t get it right yet.
Yoongi was...surprised to say the least. But this was new information, and he wasn’t going to shy away.
Yoongi: Sorry to tell you but,
Yoongi: I’m not your Noona.
Hoseok: OH MY GOD :0
Hoseok: I’m so sorry Yoongi-ssi!!!!!
Hoseok: You can’t see it but I’m bowing in apology
Yoongi: It’s fine.
Yoongi: What’s this choreo you need to work on?
Hoseok: Ah it’s nothing interesting
Hoseok: I’m sincerely sorry to bother you Yoongi-ssi.
Yoongi: It’s not a bother, don’t worry.
Yoongi: I think it’s interesting?
Hoseok: Really??
Hoseok: There’s this dance competition thing next month
Hoseok: And I’ve been teaching a couple students for while now, they wanted to perform in that competition and I love them to bits so, how could I say no?
Yoongi: So you’re making the choreo for their dance?
Hoseok: Bingo!
Hoseok: Originally I already had everything planned out, but then when I showed them the dance they said they would only do it if I was dancing with them.
Hoseok: Aish those brats
Hoseok: So now I have to add another part to it, but I just can’t make it work the way I want to, you know?
Yoongi: I think I know too well what you’re talking about.
Hoseok: Oh right, you probably deal with that all the time being a music producer and all
Hoseok: Again, sorry to bother you TT
Yoongi: Again, it’s not a bother.
Yoongi: I was actually going to schedule another appointment with you…
Hoseok: Oh, really?
Hoseok: What time were you thinking?
Yoongi: Well, I was thinking tonight but you’re busy so, when are you free next?
Hoseok: I won’t be busy for long, I should be done with the studio around 8
Hoseok: Otherwise I’m free all tomorrow night!
Yoongi: Great. 8 tonight works for me.
Yoongi: Here’s my address
Yoongi: [Link Attached]
Hoseok: Awesome! I just put our appointment in the website, it’s easier to schedule things from my end.
Hoseok: This is the first time I’m scheduling a cuddle appointment by texting
Hoseok: It’s kinda nice ^^
Yoongi: It’s not too shabby.
Yoongi: Also, one more thing
Hoseok: Yeah?
Yoongi: The payment for last time…
Yoongi: I’m not sure if it was intentional or not but you only charged me for one hour?
Yoongi: I was expecting twice that amount.
Hoseok: Ah, right…
Hoseok: Well I figured since we spent the whole first hour not touching at all, I didn’t feel right charging you.
Yoongi: What about that extra thirty minutes?
Hoseok: Huh?
Yoongi: You stayed after for longer then you were supposed to
Yoongi: I’m not complaining I just, want to make sure your getting compensated for your time is all
Hoseok: Staying later was my own choice, I wasn’t going to charge you for that.
Hoseok: It was something I wanted to do.
Yoongi: Are you sure??
Hoseok: Postiive ^^
Yoongi: I don’t really understand you...but okay.
Yoongi: I’ll see you tonight?
Hoseok: See you tonight!
__________________________
To say Yoongi was nervous, wasn't entirely correct. At least, he didn’t feel nervous. It was just the fact that he was inviting another man that wasn’t himself into his household, it’s only natural to have apprehensions about that.
Also, this so called man’s name was Jung Hoseok and he was coming over to- to cuddle .
Yoongi sighed, walking into his apartment and shrugging off his jacket, wondering what his life had really come to. Checking the time he had an hour before Hoseok was to show up, so he decided on cooking a little bit of dinner and cleaning the place up a bit.
His apartment wasn’t big by any means, but it was in one of the nicer districts Seoul had to offer, and the full length window wall in the living room was a nice plus. Most nights he wouldn’t bother to turn on the lights, prompting instead to let the cities glow to trickle in and grant him enough light to work. But tonight, a few lamps and maybe a few candles and- perfect.
Just as it occurred to him that he may have overdone it, the doorbell rang.
Without a second of hesitation Yoongi rushed to the door. Revealing a version of Hoseok who was wearing a t-shirt and comfy sweats, his hair fluffy and a little wet at the ends as if he’d just jumped out of the shower, and a smile. “Hey Yoongi-ssi! Sorry I’m a couple minutes late, I didn’t want to show up smelling like the studio.
Yoongi moved aside to let Hoseok in, “No worries, did you get the choreography figured out?”
“Ah,” Hoseok spoke as he toed off his shoes, “I got some progress, but it still has a long way to go-oh wow! Look at this place!”
“Huh?”
Hoseok made exaggerating gestures with his arms, as if the whole apartment had just appeared out of thin air, “This is...wow! Look! You have granite countertops! Oh my god is that a leather couch? And that view !”
Yoongi looked towards Hoseok, watching him walk around his apartment with a bit of a fond, and maybe a little prideful, smile, “Yeah well, it’s nothing much.” He shrugged.
“Nothing much ?!” Hoseok twirled around to face him, shocked beyond belief that Yoongi had just uttered those words, but he quickly shook his head, tapping his own cheeks with his hands, “Sorry, sorry. I should be more professional. This is a lovely place Yoongi-ssi, thank you for- uh, allowing me in here.”
Yoongi had to laugh, “God Hoseok, it’s fine, really. It’s late and we’ve both seemed to have had a long day, you don’t have to be so professional around me.”
The smile Yoongi received, was one filled with warmth and relief. And then Hoseok, seeming to be the king of unexpected, opened his arms, “Do you, um, want a hug? Or we can just hold hands and hang out?”
It took Yoongi a second to realize what was happening before he shook his head, “That, that won’t be necessary Hoseok. Here, I usually just work from my laptop at night. Why don’t you just, like, hold my hand while I work? Does that sound okay?"
Hoseok was already reaching for Yoongi’s left hand, intertwining it with his own, “That sounds perfect Yoongi-ssi.”
Yoongi smiled before leading them both to the couch, sitting down and pulling his laptop into his lap, Hoseok following suit beside him. “You know,” Yoongi started as the laptop powered on, “I read on the website that you’re born in 94, right?”
“Yep, year of the dog.” Hoseok exclaimed.
Yoongi smirked, “That...kinda makes sense. Anyway, I’m 93, year of the rooster. So just call me hyung from now on.”
“Okay, Hyung.” Hoseok nodded, and Yoongi wasn’t sure if the squeeze he felt in his hand was his doing or Hoseok’s. After Yoongi’s comment, they fell into a content kind of quiet, Yoongi lost himself in his work, a personal project of sorts. Rearranging and playing pieces for a mixtape he was working on.
Yoongi felt the comfort Hoseok’s hand brought while he worked, helping him stay grounded, as if Hoseok’s hand was a tether around Yoongi’s mind. But it still startled him when younger started, “Is that your voice?”
“Huh?” Yoongi stuttered before realizing that yes, that sound coming out of his laptop in fact was, his voice, “Well, I mean technically yes. But this is just the guide, I’m going to give it to someone else to sing eventually.”
“What?! Why?” Hoseok asked, genuinely confused.
Yoongi looked towards him with a brow raised, “Wait, have you been watching me work?”
Hoseok shrugged, “I mean, what else am I supposed to be doing here? Anyway you’re distracting this conversation away from the question!”
“Aish.” Yoongi sighed, “Why would I sing these songs? There are much better rappers out there.”
Hoseok shook his head, adamant, “Yeah, there are, and one of those so called much better rappers is sitting here on this couch right now .”
“You rap?”
Hoseok sighed, unbelieving, “ You hyung!”
“You’re ridiculous.” Yoongi spoke as he turned his attention back to his computer in a vain attempt to hide away the smile creeping up onto his cheeks.
Hoseok hummed, and that was that as Yoongi went back to his editing. It didn’t occur to him right away, but he realized that this, nothing about this, was normal. That Hoseok being a professional cuddler was normal yes but the fact that Yoongi was letting him listen and watch him work, on his mixtape. This wasn’t- it wasn’t something he was used to. Or necessarily comfortable with having a stranger listen to.
Yoongi was about to get up to find some headphones when Hoseok’s head landed gently on his shoulder, and his attention was brought back to the comfort in his hand. “Is this okay?” Hoseok’s voice was quiet.
For a moment, Yoongi wanted to say yes, yes this is more than fine. Yoongi was overcome with a wave of feeling needed and special, like he could also be a comfort to Hoseok. But then he reminded himself that this wasn’t real, and that once their time had past, Hoseok would go on his merry way out of Yoongi’s life. Yoongi wouldn’t text him again or make another appointment, so why would it matter if Hoseok listened to his mixtape and used his shoulder as a place to rest his head? “Yeah, this is fine Hoseok.”
A hum in return is all he received as he continued to work. Hoseok’s gentle breathing while painting soft caresses on Yoongi’s skin like gentle words, calming and serenading Yoongi as he worked.
It came as a surprise when the alarm on Hoseok’s phone went off, and if Hoseok’s little jump was anything to go by, he felt it too. “Oh, sorry I think I actually fell asleep for a second, but we have ten minutes left. Is there anything you want to do or any cuddle positions you want to try out before I have to go?”
Yoongi pondered the thought for a moment, before shaking his head, “No, this is more than fine.”
“I can just start naming some cuddle positions, a lot of people are a bit tentative at first, it’s completely normal if it scares you hyung.” Hoseok spoke with a soft voice.
“I’m not scared.” Yoongi defended himself before Hoseok promptly ignored him and started naming off positions, “We could spoon, that’s by far the most popular, most people prefer to be the little spoon but some prefer the big spoon it’s all up to you really. You could sit in my lap and I could hold you or we can do that the other way around. You could lay your head in my lap, some people like to have their hair petted. Oh and also-”
“Oh my god okay, okay.” Yoongi started, “You’re going to just keep suggesting positions aren’t you?”
“Well, that is my job.” Hoseok leaned back to showcase a smirk.
Yoongi smiled back despite himself, “Well, alright. Why don’t we just...spoon, yeah? You said that was by far the most popular?”
Hoseok nodded, “Sure is! Do you want to be the big spoon or the little spoon?”
Yoongi sighed, closing his laptop and putting it on the table, “I’m not sure what the difference is. But most people prefer the little spoon is what you said right? I guess I’ll just go with that."
Hoseok look genuinely distraught with this information, “Wait, hyung have you ever spooned with someone before?”
Yoongi felt uncomfortable, as if he was missing out on something. For a split second he tried to retract his hand from Hoseok’s but the younger just gently squeezed Yoongi’s hand, evaporating any attempts at escape instantly, “Well, I guess not? I’m not sure how all this cuddle stuff...works. If I’m being honest.”
But Hoseok’s warm smile eradicated any negative thoughts he could have had in seconds, “Hyung, here, I’ll show you.” He spoke as he untangled their hands and moved to lay down on the couch, opening his arms. “Just lay down here with your back facing me and then I’ll wrap my arms around you, If you’re okay with that.”
It took Yoongi a moment before he eventually caved, laying down in Hoseok’s arms, “So this is the incredibly popular phenomenon, ‘spooning’ huh?” he asked, trying to lighten the mood and hide his own awkwardness as Hoseok wrapped his arms around Yoongi’s chest.
“Mhm, is this okay? If you’d prefer anything else, you can just move my limbs however you like, I’m here to make you happy hyung.” Hoseok spoke barely above a mumble into Yoongi’s dark hair.
“No!” Yoongi spoke almost immediately before retracting, “I mean, no, this is fine. You’re...um, you’re pretty warm, Hoseok.”
“Is that a good thing?” Hoseok asked and Yoongi could swear he felt the younger smiling in his hair.
“Don’t know.” Yoongi smiled back, feeling the awkwardness wash off him in steady waves, replaced with comfort and confidence, “Should probably stay like this until I figure it out, huh?”
Hoseok giggled, “It does seem so.” He spoke before wrapping his arms just a little tighter around Yoongi, slipping a leg in between Yoongi’s thighs, “Still okay?”
Yoongi adjusted himself so that they were tangled up together more comfortably, sighing in content, “Yeah, yeah this is, actually really nice Seok.”
Another giggle as the younger nuzzled into Yoongi’s hair, “Good. You know, for someone who hasn’t ever really cuddled before, you’re not so bad yourself.”
Yoongi chuckled, “Well I’ll make sure to add that one to my resume then.” Yoongi let the warmth overcome him as his eyes fluttered close, it was that same kind of feeling he received from Hoseok’s hug when they first met. Yet it was different, calmer, a toned down intensity of warmth now then what he’d felt then, but it was nice. Perfect, even.
“I’m...I’m going to pay you for another hour, if you didn’t already have plans that is, that okay with you?” Yoongi asked, silently kicking himself for the awkward and tentitive tone in his voice.
“Of course.” Hoseok soothed before finding Yoongi’s hand and carefully intertwining their fingers.
Yoongi felt himself doze off, content, safe, warm. He didn’t know how long they laid like that, it could have been minutes, hours, he wasn’t sure, but the stomach pressed to his back, growling, was enough to wake him up with a giggle.
“Aish, I’m sorry.” Hoseok groaned. “Just ignore me, we still have twenty minutes left I think.”
Yoongi however, had another idea. “Are you hungry?” He asked as he moved to sit up, his back feeling cold from where Hoseok had once been, but their hands still interlocked. “I made some stir fry before you came, and I may have accidentally made more than necessary for one person.”
Hoseok smiled, “Really? Are you hungry?” He moved to get up and allow Yoongi to lead them into the kitchen.
“Not really, I ate before you came here, I don’t mind though.” Yoongi shrugged, releasing Hoseok’s hand, albeit hesitantly, in favor of dishing up the food still on the stove.
“Are you sure? I’d feel bad, I’m still on the clock you know?” Hoseok tried, gingerly taking the plate Yoongi handed to him and following the elder to the table.
Yoongi shook his head, “Consider this as part of the session. It’ll make me happy to see that you’re not hungry, and anyways” He started, taking a seat and motioning for Hoseok to sit beside him, “I wanted to do something to make up for last time.”
Hoseok giggled at that, sitting down and almost immediately finding Yoongi’s hand again, “I told you hyung, I wanted to stay longer and I didn’t feel right charging you for that first hour. I should have done more to make you less uncomfortable with the whole idea of cuddling.”
“No, Hoseok that wasn’t your fault that I was- am, still new to this whole cuddling thing. But what I meant was, I wanted to make up for the way I reacted to it...last time. I shouldn’t have put you in that position, and I’m sorry."
“Your apology is not accepted.” Hoseok spoke, taking his first bite and humming, “Wow hyung, you’re such a good cook this is amazing!”
Yoongi giggled, “Thanks Seok. But why-”
“Because you have nothing to apologize for hyung.” Hoseok spoke seriously, “We all need human touch, it’s been proven to even help our health and wellbeing physically as well as mentally too. When we go to long without it, it’s like bottling up everything that you feel when someone does hold you like you’re something precious, and so when you finally do get that touch, it’s only natural to cry.” He took another bite, “And you weren’t even the worst, trust me.”
“So it really is common to cry then, huh?” Yoongi asked, genuinely intrigued now.
“More than you’d think. The time I spend cuddling is supposed to be confidential, but let's just say my shoulder turns out to be one to cry on more often than not.”
Yoongi nodded, looking down at their hands, his thumb rubbing gentle circles to the back of Hoseok’s own, “What made you want to do this? Professional cuddling, I mean. Aren’t you a dancer too?"
Hoseok’s smile beamed, “Yeah! Dancing is my main job, but I just cuddle on the side to make ends meet a bit easier. I’ve always been more of a cuddly kind of guy, my friends all make fun of me for it but I think it’s more of a strength then anything. And when I saw the advertisement for this job, I mean, it was just kinda like fate, you know?”
Yoongi hummed, smiling as Hoseok continued to talk about his professions, when the younger started to talk about dancing, especially about his students, Hoseok’s smile seemed to grow twice as big and splash up to meet his eyes. And a realization dawned onto Yoongi, causing him to smile back just as wide, his chest warm and the hand in his a comforting reminder. As Hoseok finished eating, he disappeared into the kitchen to wash his dish, leaving Yoongi in at the table, quickly pulling out his phone, in dire need of advice in accordance with his new revelation.
Yoongi: This is an emergency.
Yoongi: How do I tell someone they’re beautiful
Yoongi: Without making them uncomfortable and making sure they actually want to see me again?
Jungkook: YOONGI WHAT THE HELL
Jungkook: Y’ALL IT’S HAPPENING
Taehyung: HOLY
Taehyung: wait let me get my glasses
Taehyung: FUCK
Jimin: Oh my god hyung found the one rejoice !!
Namjoon: Proud of you hyung, it’s about damn time
Yoongi: Nothing said in this chat has improved my standard of living in the slightest degree.
Taehyung: Tell him your Yoongi on the streets, Daegu boy in the sheets
Jungkook: What the…
Taehyung: Works every time.
Jimin: Never in my life
Namjoon: Anyway hyung just tell him you think he’s got eyes that shine with unexplored constellations that would fascinate NASA and what a coincidence you’re looking for an internship there.
SeokjIn: I’m swooning Joon.
Namjoon: Really??
Jungkook: Mr. President sir, i believe that was sarcasm.
Seokjin: :))
Namjoon: Well fine then do YOU guys have anything better?
Yoongi: I’m desperate.
Jimin: Hyung aren’t you supposed to be with him right now?
Yoongi: I am, he was hungry so I made a plate of some extra stir fry for him
Yoongi: He’s in the kitchen right now rinsing the plate
Yoongi: So the faster you freaks help me out the better
Jungkook: You fed him your FOOD
Taehyung: Catch me crying in this internet cafe
Jimin: Hyung maybe if you just combine Namjoon hyung and Tae tae’s ideas
Jimin: What about,
Jimin: “I think you’re cute. They call me Daegu boy in the sheets and I think I see some stars out in your eyes tonight.”
Jungkook: Jimin you GENIUS
Seokjin: no absolutely not.
Taehyung: Yeah it needs more Daegu charm
Namjoon: I think it needs more stars
Seokjin: What?!
Yoongi: Guys I think he’s coming back THIS IS NOT HELPING
Seokjin: Okay that first part of what Jimin said was perfect, just call him cute and see where it goes from there!
Yoongi: Yes but my question precisely is,
Yoongi: How the fuck do I do that.
Namjoon: Wow hyung you’re more helpless then I was
Taehyung: That’s cus he’s in loooooooooove
Jungkook: I think I hear bells in your future hyung!
SeokjIn: Dear god
Seokjin: Anyway,
Seokjin: Yoongi you should schedule another appointment with Hoseok and drop a hint that you really enjoy his presence
Yoongi: That’s a good idea. I should start with that
Jimin: Also maybe it’s not a bad idea to ask him how he is around other snugglers? Maybe he’s treating you special cus he likes you too and you just don’t know it ???
Yoongi: Cuddlers*
Yoongi: And I want to know
Yoongi: But I’m kind of afraid to ask
Namjoon: Why?
Yoongi: Because who knows what those other people’s intentions are?!
Yoongi: Hoseokie is so pure and kind, the idea of someone trying to take advantage of that just-
Yoongi: I don’t know how I could handle it.
Jungkook: See footnote- Whipped.
Taehyung: We got a whipped one folks
Jimin: Love is beautiful
Yoongi: Very helpful kids.
Namjoon: Hyung maybe that’s not a bad idea to ask about how other cuddlers treat him
Seokjin: Yeah, it’ll give you a more of a reason to keep scheduling dates with him
Sekojin: I mean- snuggle parties!
Yoongi: Cuddle parties*
Yoongi: Wait they’re not parties
Yoongi: Fuck
Yoongi: Whatever, he’s coming back now
Yoongi: God he’s beautiful
Yoongi: Wish me luck
Jungkook: GET THAT ASS HYUNG
Taehyung: The love is strong with this one
Jimin: *initiating prayer circle of Yoongi hyungs love life*
Seokjin: Go forth young one, make us proud
Namjoon: Good luck and don’t forget the stars hyung!!
Yoongi put down his phone as soon as Hoseok took his seat beside him again. “Thanks again, for the food and everything, really.” Hoseok spoke with a smile.
Yoongi felt his heart melt, “I should be the one thanking you. How much time do we have left?”
Hoseok seemed shocked by the sudden question, but his expression turned sheepish as he checked his phone. “It’s about ten minutes past, I should probably get going-”
“Another hour?” Yoongi asked, too quickly to be seen as a joke, but he tried to play it off like one as he was met with Hoseok’s unbelieving gaze.
“You…” But then, Hoseok’s expression melted into a bright giggle, “You’re something special hyung, I would stay another hour if I could, but I’ve got to get up early tomorrow to teach a dance class. And if there’s one thing I need, it’s my sleep.”
Yoongi nodded, “Look at you, being all responsible and turning down more cuddles.”
Hoseok playfully rolled his eyes, “Trust me, if I thought this was going to be our last session I wouldn’t be leaving right now.” the younger spoke as he got up from the chair.
Yoongi was dazed for a moment, wondering what exactly that meant or- could potentially mean. But Hoseok walking away from him was enough to shake him back to reality and walk the other to the door, “And what makes you so sure I’ll be making another appointment?”
Hoseok smirked and shrugged, toeing on his shoes, “Just a feeling.”
“Ah, a feeling. I see.” Yoongi smirked, deciding to indulge in this little game, “And what if I said your feeling may just be right, and I’d like to schedule another appointment tomorrow?”
Yoongi watched Hoseok’s features brighten and dimmen all in a matter of seconds, “I would, but I’m already booked tomorrow all day. Friday’s seem to be a busy day in the cuddle world, but the day after we can schedule something?"
“Oh, yeah. Yeah that works. I’ll text you about the time then.” Yoongi spoke, unable to ask about the appointments Hoseok had the next day. “You’ll be alright getting home by yourself? It’s pretty late.”
Hoseok nodded, standing up straight after his shoes were on snug, “Don’t worry about me hyung, I’ll be fine. I had fun.” He spoke as he opened his arms.
It struck Yoongi that Hoseok was yet again, asking for a hug, and Yoongi felt hesitant, not wanting a round two of last time-
“Don’t worry, it’ll just be a light hug, not a full on hug like last time, promise.” Hoseok assured him, seeming to read his mind perfectly.
Yoongi chuckled, deciding to trust Hoseok as he opened his own arms and wrapped them around the youngers shoulders. Hoseok was right, this was different, lighter, a goodbye yet a promise of next time, and before Yoongi knew it, they were leaning away again.
“Bye hyung, I’ll see you later, yeah?” Hoseok asked as he opened the door and waved.
Yoongi waved back, “Yeah, I’ll text you Hoseokie.”
Hoseok’s smile brightened at the endearment added onto the end of his name, trotting down the hall away from Yoongi’s apartment. Yoongi watched until Hoseok disappeared beyond the stairs before he let out a sigh. Yoongi just had to get through one day, and then he could see Hoseok again.
Just one day.
__________________________
The morning was going rather well, Yoongi was in his studio like any other day, but today the music felt a little clearer, like the foggy haze that would entice his frustration was nowhere to be found. It was nice. Except for one little problem.
Yoongi sighed, decided to seek advice.
Yoongi: You got a minute?
Namjoon: Yeah what’s up?
Namjoon: Got something on your mind?
Yoongi: there’s just...this guy i’ve been seeing.
Yoongi: Everything is going great except for the fact that he’s been in my mind all morning.
Namjoon: Sounds like a crush if I’ve ever seen one
Yoongi: I’m being serious here.
Namjoon: So am I. Did you make another appointment with him?
Yoongi: Yes but not until tomorrow...wait how do you know I have to make an appointment to see him??
Namjoon: Hyung oh my god.
Frustrated, Yoongi turned to someone else whom he deemed trustworthy with his current predicament.
Yoongi: Hyung.
Yoongi: I need your help
Seokjin: The deity is here to listen
Seokjin: What’s on your mind?
Yoongi: Um...okay?
Yoongi: Well, there’s a problem and I need to get it fixed
Seokjin: You have a crush on Hoseok and don’t know what to do about it
Seokjin: Correct?
Yoongi: But how do you KNOW it’s Hoseok?!
Yoongi: It could be anyone!
Seokjin: Anyway.
Seokjin: Just admit that you like him.
Yoongi: what good will that do in helping me solve my problem??
Seokjin: What’s your problem specifically?
Yoongi: It’s just, he’s been on my mind all morning. Not in a bad way, just like...I want to see him...again. Idk.
Yoongi: It’s dumb.
Yoongi: I need it to stop
Yoongi: Seokjin hyung, help. Advice. Anything, i’m desperate.
Seokjin: Sorry, if you hear a strange noise it’s just me cackling from across the city
Yoongi: I should have just asked Namjoon
Seokjin: Wait!
Seokjin: Okay so, you’re thinking about him constantly and want it to stop, is that right?
Yoongi: Well yeah that is what I said.
Seokjin: Why don’t you just
Seokjin: I don’t know,
Seokjin: try messaging him?
Seokjin: Ask him how his day is going? Something like that?
Yoongi: Would that help?
Seokjin: It certainly would make you happy.
Yoongi: But how do YOU know that?!
Seokjin: Yoongi-ah. Sigh.
Seokjin: You’re impossible
Seokjin: Admit it, you have a crush on the guy you pay to give you hugs
Yoongi: I will admit to no such thing. Traitor.
Seokjin: Now I’m the traitor!?
Seokjin: Alright moving on, it’s not important.
Seokjin: What’s important is that you message him
Seokjin: Maybe he likes you just as much? What if he’s thinking about you right now just like how you’re thinking about him?
Yoongi: That’s just ridiculous
Seokjin: But how do you /know/ :)
Yoongi: Whatever. I’ll message him.
Seokjin: Love is beautiful TT
___
Yoongi: Hey
Yoongi: My friend told me to message you
Yoongi: Hope you don’t mind
Hoseok: Hyung!!
Hoseok I don’t mind at all :)
Hoseok: Why did they tell you to message me though?
Yoongi: That’s a bit...irrelevant.
Yoongi: Anyways,
Yoongi: How are you doing?
Hoseok: Great!
Hoseok: I actually just finished the first cuddle appointment of the day, there’s a bit of a dreak before the next one starts so I’m on the train to the studio now
Yoongi: That’s great Hoseokie
Yoongi: How did the appointment go?
Hoseok: Confidential!
Hoseok: (But it went okay)
Yoongi: That’s good :)
Hoseok: What about you?
Hoseok: Are you working on your mixtape today?
Yoongi: Ah that thing…
Yoongi: No not at the moment
Yoongi: I’m working on the title track for the company’s new group debuting next month
Yoongi: They have a very…
Yoongi: Let’s just call it a “unique” sound
Hoseok: Oh I see!
Hoseok: You must be working hard then!
Yoongi: You could say that
Yoongi: Although today has been a rather easy day
Hoseok: I’m glad to hear it :)
Hoseok: Maybe next time I could listen to a sample of what your working on?
Yoongi: Of course, Hoseokie
Hoseok: Yay!!
Yoongi: Could I ask you something?
Hoseok: Of course hyung
Yoongi: You said the appointments earlier went okay, why just okay?
Yoongi knew it was a bold thing to pry upon, especially in their newly developed relationship. But he couldn’t help but to wonder what others were like with Hoseok, and how Hoseok was with other people in the sense of cuddles. The question begging in Yoongi’s mind, asking if he was special at all to the younger the way Hoseok had become special to Yoongi. Yet it still came as a surprise with the speed of their replies when Hoseok’s response took longer than five minutes to finally appear.
Hoseok: Let’s just say not everyone is as kind or respectful as you hyung.
Yoongi: What did they do.
Hoseok: Confidential ^^
Hoseok: Anyway!
Hoseok: I’m on the train and I’m boooooored
Hoseok: Can you send me a picture of you?
Hoseok: Your contact is blank and it’s making me sad :((
Yoongi: Aish
Yoongi You don’t want a picture of me on your phone
Hoseok: I do though!!
Hoseok: here, I’ll send you one first ^^
Hoseok: [image attached]
Yoongi: Hoseokie…
Yoongi: You’re so pretty
Hoseok: You’re just saying that hyung!!
Yoongi: No, I’m not
Yoongi: I mean it with my whole chest.
Yoongi: You’re beautiful.
Hoseok: Hyung…
Hoseok: You’re making me smile like an idiot on this train people are going to think I’m crazy !!
Yoongi: It's just the truth Hoseokie :)
Hoseok: Can you send a picture of you?
Hoseok: Pretty please??
Yoongi: Oh fine, just because you asked so nicely
Yoongi: [image attached]
Yoongi: Hoseokie?
Hoseok: Sorry it’s just-
Hoseok: You’re so beautiful
Hoseok: Sorry- that was probably creepy and unprofessional
Hoseok: But you’re very handsome Yoongi hyung.
Yoongi: I told you, you don’t have to be so professional around me, it’s okay
Yoongi: And thanks Hoseokie :)
Hoseok: I can’t wait for the cuddle session tomorrow!
Yoongi: I bet you say that for every cuddle session
Hoseok: Well, just the ones that I look forward too ^^
Yoongi: You don’t look forward to all of them?
Hoseok: Oh, sorry hyung! This is my stop so I’ve got to go
Hoseok: Is tomorrow same time and place okay?
Yoongi: Actually could you meet me in the office building that we met in the first time? I’ve got some music I’d like to work on this weekend here
Hoseok: You got it hyung!
Hoseok: I’ll hold your hand while you work again ^^
Yoongi: I wouldn’t mind that at all, Hoseokie.
Hoseok: See you then Hyung!
Yoongi: See you then!
__________________________
Yoongi: Namjoon-ah do you have a sec?
Namjoon: Yeah, why? Also is something happening? You never FaceTime unless...wait have you ever FaceTimed me?!
Yoongi: That’s besides the point.
Namjoon: Then what /is/ the point?
Are you still at the studio? Hyung it’s like 10pm??
Yoongi: well if you would just let me /talk/ I could tell you why I’m calling right now.
Namjoon: Fine, fine, what’s up?
Yoongi: I need you to look into the contracts for this website and see if I can legally and financially pay someone to hold my hand for the rest of the foreseeable future.
Namjoon: Holy shit...hyung did Jin hyung slip some alcohol into your studio after u left? Maybe you’ve been working too hard? Oh wait-
Yoongi: No.
Namjoon: ITS HOSEOK! Your cuddle guy!!
Yoongi: it is absolutely not.
Namjoon: I see your crush is brooding nicely.
Yoongi: I see you haven’t changed and I’m going back to Seokjin-
Namjoon: Wait! Sorry, I’ll be serious. Let me get this straight. So you want me to read the documents and figure out how you can get Hoseok to hold your hand for the rest of your life without just admitting to him that you like-
Yoongi: Goodbye-
Namjoon: Just tell him hyung! *chuckles* You’ve only met a few times anyway. Your meeting him again, right?
Yoongi: Yeah, tomorrow. And we’ve been texting all day, but it’s not just that Joon-ah.
Namjoon: Then what is it?
Yoongi: It makes me...nervous. Him cuddling other people.
Namjoon: I think that’s what one would call jealousy.
Yoongi: I knew I should have just talked to Jin hyung.
Namjoon: He would have told you the same exact thing, I’m just having fun.
Yoongi: Remind me to never talk to you again.
Namjoon: Noted. Anyway hyung just ask him on a date or something? It doesn’t have to be big, maybe something casual like lunch or coffee?
Yoongi: How would that solve anything? Not to mention what if he says no??
Namjoon: Is he really going to say no?
Yoongi: Just- use that brain of yours for once and look over the contracts or terms of service whatever it’s called for me.
Namjoon: *chuckles* Will do, now I have to go Jin hyung just walked in with dinner, go send your crush a goodnight text and I’ll get back to you on the documents.
Yoongi: Thanks Joon-ah. I’m counting on you.

Yoongi: Goodnight, Hoseokie.
Hoseok: Goodnight Yoongi hyung, sleep tight!
Hoseok: Wait- before you go to bed can I just say one thing?
Yoongi: Of course
Hoseok: I really like that you call me Hoseokie :3
Yoongi: You do?
Hoseok: Yeah!
Hoseok: A lot of my friends call me Hobi and you can too, but it’s just that nobody else calls me Hoseokie
Hoseok: I like it :3
Yoongi: Hoseokie it is then.
Yoongi: It’s fitting for you
Yoongi: Although I don’t know how your friends would react if I get a special nickname to call you and they don’t
Hoseok: Shhhhh
Hoseok: We just won’t tell them ^^
Hoseok: Is there anything you would like me to call you?
Yoongi: Like a nickname?
Hoseok: Yeah!
Yoongi: Hmm I don’t think I’ve ever had a nickname before
Hoseok: Really?!
Hoseok: Well that is changing this INSTANT
Yoongi: oh no
Hoseok: I’ll just start naming off some nicknames and you can pick the one you like best?
Hoseok: Yoonie
Yoongi: …
Hoseok: Yoongles
Yoongi: Hosoekie-
Hoseok: Yoongi kitten
Yoongi: Wait what?!
Hoseok: Kitty Yoon
Yoongi: Okay now you’re just-
Hoseok: lil meow meow
Yoongi: Hosokie I love all of them.
Yoongi: In theory…
Hoseok: Really??
Hoseok: Which one is your favorite then? :”)
Yoongi: Well…
Yoongi: I don’t think any of them will work.
Hoseok: Oh…
Yoongi: I’m your hyung, Hoseokie
Yoongi: And I never really was one for nicknames
Yoongi: Just Yoongi is more than okay with me
Hoseok: Okay, sorry for pushing :(
Hoseok: But i have one more suggestion, if you want to hear it?
Yoongi: It’s okay, don’t apologize
Yoongi: Of course Hoseokie
Hoseok: What about, hyungie ?
Hoseok: And it would be special too! I don’t have a hyung that I’m close with, so it would just be you as hyungie in my phone :3
Hoseok: Of course I won’t call you that though if you don’t like it..
Yoongi felt his heart fluttering throughout the whole conversation, truthfully, he didn’t mind any (most) of the nicknames Hoseok suggested. However he didn’t want word going around that he was letting his dongsaeng get away with calling his name without honorifics. But Hyungie...Yoongi couldn’t help but to smile as that weightless feeling fluttered in his chest and made his fingers feel light as he replied.
Yoongi: I love it, Hoseokie
Yoongi: That would make me happy if you called me that
Hoseok: Hyungie it is then!
Hoseok: I’ll let you go to bed now, sorry to keep you up
Yoongi: You apologize too much Hoseokie
Hoseok: Ah sorry
Hoseok: Oops!
Hoseok: It’s hard to remember I don’t have to be so professional right now
Hoseok: Around you at least
Hoseok: But I like it ^^
Yoongi: I’m glad
Yoongi: Good night, Hoseokie
Hoseok: Goodnight hyungie! I’ll see you tomorrow :3

Namjoon: Go have fun and cuddle your boy
Yoongi: Finally.
Jungkook: Whipped.
Yoongi sighed as he put down his phone, he had decided to stay the night in his studio, it was strange for him to be able to work on music without running into endless bouts of frustration, and he was going to use this fully to his advantage.
Maybe the prospect of being able to have a hand to hold while he worked, no less, Hoseok’s hand, was a bit more of a comfort then he’d willingly admit to. It was nearing noon when a notification lit up Yoongi’s screen.
Hoseok: I’m here! Do you want me to meet you in the same studio?
Yoongi: Glad you got here safe
Yoongi: Yes that’s fine
Yoongi: Can you find it?
Hoseok: Um...no lol
Yoongi: I’ll come get you, where are you?
Hoseok: In the elevator, I think went to the wrong floor?
Yoongi: Ah, it’s tricky
Yoongi: Go to floor four and I’ll meet you there
Hoseok: Okay ^^
Yoongi rather quickly made his way out of the studio and down the hall until he was face to face with the elevators doors. Checking his phone once more to make sure Hoseok hadn’t gotten lost again. He didn’t even realize the tension in his shoulders or the flipping in his stomach until the doors opened and revealed Hoseok, bright smile, fluffy hair, and an oversized yellow hoodie covering his shoulders. Yoongi immediately felt the tension he didn’t know had been building roll off of him in waves, leaving in a sigh, “Hey, Hoseokie.”
Hoseok’s smile, proving the impossible, grew even wider at the name, “Hey, Hyungie.” He slowly reached for Yoongi’s hand, and Yoongi let him, a holy palmers kiss as the elder lead them down the hall and to his studio.
“So, do I get to hear this song you’re working on?” Hoseok asked as he sat down in the spare chair that Yoongi had (thankfully) remembered to steal from Namjoon’s studio that morning.
Yoongi took a seat in his own chair, smirking. “Depends. Might be a little too confidential for you.”
Hoseok groaned and then chuckled, rubbing his thumb over Yoongi’s knuckles, “Very funny Hyungie. You know, I understand why the whole confidentiality thing is part of the contract, but at the same time I think it’s kind of dumb.”
“Dumb?” Yoongi mindlessly echoed as he jogged his computer's screen back to life.
“Yeah.” Hoseok nodded, “I don’t get it, like, if something happens, like something good, or funny or weird-”
“Weird?”
“Yeah, I’d like to tell my friends about it you know?” Hoseok sighed, slumping back against his chair, “It just sucks having stories to tell my friends and not being able to tell them. They would laugh so hard, I know it.” Hoseok giggled lightly at the thought.
“Can’t you tell them confidential information if you trust them?” Yoongi questioned, pulling up the track he’d been working on.
Hoseok tossed his head to the side, moving his other hand to draw patterns on the back of Yoongi’s palm. “Well, yeah. Technically I trust them with my life, but honestly? Those kids can’t keep a secret for two seconds.”
“Are your friends the people you dance with? The one’s you’re doing that showcase with next month?”
Hoseok hummed, “Yep, they’re the kids I teach. I mean, they’re not really kids but they sure act like it sometimes. Love them though.”
“I can relate.” Yoongi spoke, before giving Hoseok’s hand a gentle squeeze, “But, you can trust me, if you want.” Yoongi spoke, confident. “I live like a hermit, I have four friends, five if you include Namjoon when he’s not being a dick and I don’t communicate feelings very well so I’d basically hoard all your secrets in my soul for our foreseeable eternity together.”
Yoongi was being serious, at least partly, yet he couldn’t find it in himself to feel any sort of frustration with the way Hoseok was bubbling with laughter at his description. “Hyungie, you’re ridiculous-” He shook his head, smile matching his eyes, “That can’t be good for you to hoard everything like that though.”
The elder shrugged, motioning with his head towards the computer with a song that had long been loaded up and forgotten. “It’s manageable. It’s not like I don’t have an outlet.”
Hoseok's eyes seemed to light up once he noticed the song, “Hyungie, let’s make a deal.”
“A deal?”
“Yeah.” Hoseok turned to face him, “What if I tell you my confidential secrets if you let me hear you’re confidential music?”
Yoongi felt himself giggle, “You really want to hear my music that bad huh?”
Hoseok nodded aggressively, and who was Yoongi to deny him? “Alright. But afterwards you have to tell me one of your confidential stories, yeah?”
“Deal.” Hoseok giggled, “I would shake you on it, but I’m already holding your hand.”
Yoongi smiled, turning his attention to the screen, “Oh what a pity.”
Hoseok hummed until Yoongi hit the spacebar and soon music was filtering through the speakers. Hoseok grew completely still, the comforting motion atop Yoongi’s hand ceased completely, and the elder found it hard not to hold his breath too.
Did he like it?
The song faded out, and Yoongi turned anxiously towards Hoseok, but the worry flushed away when the soothing motion on his hand started again. “Hyung...it’s beautiful...but it-” Yoongi felt the panic wash over him in waves again. “It doesn’t really sound like you...if that makes sense? I get that that’s your voice in the guide but it just…”
Yoongi let out a sigh of relief, “That’s...that’s good. It’s not supposed to sound like me.”
“It’s not?” Hoseok questioned, his mouth forming an O shape that Yoongi couldn’t help but to smile at. “Yeah, it’s not. This song is for the new group the companies debuting, they have a very special sound, lot more electronic wave. I prefer more old school stuff like, piano and hip-hop beats.”
Hoseok nodded thoughtfully, processing everything Yoongi was saying. “Are the songs on your mixtape like that?”
Yoongi nodded, “Yeah.” Then a smile. “Do you want to hear one?”
Hoseok was smiling with a little something more shining behind his eyes. “Well what do you think? Play it!”
Yoongi chuckled as he turned back to his computer bringing up one of the lighter songs on his album, before hesitating. Hoseok seemed to notice this pause, scooching his chair close to Yoongi and resting his head on the elders shoulder. “I’m here Hyungie, I’ve got you. You don’t have to play it if you don’t want to, but I’ll listen if you do.”
Those gentle words and the comforting weight on his shoulder was enough to bring Yoongi to press play, and let his voice, a song made for his voice and his words fill the air.
“Yoongi hyung...” Hoseok’s voice started softly as the song’s beat looped to a finish, it was a track dictating the brighter emotions he felt when creating music. And by the sound of Hoseok’s voice, awestruck, Yoongi couldn’t help but to smile. “Can you play me another one?”
Yoongi smiled, because really, who was he to deny Hoseok of such simplicities such as playing a song, a piece of his heart, from his mixtape whom even his closest friends hadn’t heard any more then a few seconds of by chance.
“Of course, Hoseokie.”

The evening went on rather quickly, Yoongi’s inspiration and motivation flaring back to life with every positive and awestruck expression Hoseok beamed towards his music. It was around the time that Yoongi felt Hoseok’s breath evening out, and a light snore from the younger that he spun himself back into the web of music. Directing these new found emotions to the unfinished tracks.
Yoongi lost track of time as he worked on the music, Hoseok’s head still securely resting on his shoulder and hand comfortingly in Yoongi’s own. A few weeks ago, Yoongi would have never been able to even fathom the idea of someone like Hoseok waltzing into his studio and cuddling him while he worked. Now, Yoongi smiled, now he welcomed the warm comfort with open arms.
But it wasn’t until small whimpers were heard from Yoongi’s shoulder, and the slight tremble against Yoongi’s hand, that the elder broke away from his computer. “Hoseok? Hoseokie? Hey, hey wake up-”
Hoseok snapped awake, revealing tear filled brown eyes looking towards Yoongi in confusion, and possibly...possibly fear.
“Hyungie…?”
Yoongi felt so connected to Hoseok physically, that he felt like his own heart shattering was louder than Hoseok’s broken voice. “I’m here, it’s okay Hoseokie. Bad dream?”
Hoseok looked away as he removed himself from Yoongi’s shoulder, letting the elder draw soothing patterns to the back of his hand. “Sorry. I’m not supposed to fall asleep on the job. I’m sorry Yoongi.”
Yoongi chuckled, tugging on Hoseok’s hand, “Hoseokie look at me, we’re friends, right? Even if I pay you to be here with me, that doesn’t mean I don’t want to be your friend. It’s okay to fall asleep if you’re tired. I’d want you too if you were tired.”
Hoseok smiled softly, finally meeting Yoongi’s gaze. “You’re too good to me Hyungie. What song are you working on now?”
“Trying to change the subject?” Yoongi smirked, “I was just cleaning up the first track I played for you a bit, needed some more chimes and I added some synth bass in there on the off beats too.”
“Oh,” Hoseok started, clearly confused as to what Yoongi meant but nevertheless in awe, “Can I hear what you did to it?”
“Sure, but now it’s my turn to ask the question.” Yoongi started.
Hoseok groaned, seemingly knowing what Yoongi was on about but clearly didn’t want to talk about it. However that wasn’t going to deter Yoongi. “Was that a nightmare just now? Do you have a lot of them?”
Hoseok brought his attention to their joined hands, shrugging, “I mean, I guess? I don’t get them like...all the time. But I guess if i’m cuddling with somebody new and I fall asleep...that kinda tends to happen.”
“What was your dream about?” Yoongi asked with concern.
“Just, the usual I guess. I had a bad experience once when I fell asleep cuddling, it was my own fault for falling asleep-”
“What happened?” Yoongi interjected quickly.
However Hoseok looked uneasy, shifting in his seat. “It’s not something you want to hear about, and anyway, it’s kind of a long story.”
“Well we have a long time-” Yoongi started but was quickly cut off by the sound of Hoseok’s phone timer, signaling ten minutes left. The two looked towards each other, and with Hoseok bubbling up with laughter Yoongi couldn’t help himself from joining.
“Hyung that was like...perfect timing I’m sorry but wow.” Hoseok spoke, giggles still living in his voice.
Yoongi huffed with a smile, “What can I say, I know my social cues.”
“Pretty sure you’re awkward though.” Hoseok challenged with a smile.
“Pretty sure you’re into that.” Yoongi smirked back.
While Yoongi was expecting a snarky reply back, or a teasing remark, he was met with Hoseok's stumped expression, the youngers cheeks warming up quickly to a light rosy blush.
That’s when Yoongi realized, what he had just said. “Shit- shit I mean, sorry that’s not-”
“Not professional.” Hoseok finished for him, quietly. But the younger seemed to regain his composure, because the next second he was winking towards Yoongi. “Well I should probably get going Hyungie. Will I see you soon?”
It took Yoongi a second to recover from that, whatever that wink and that smile was but when he did, it was with a hum, “Yeah. Tomorrow?”
“Tomorrow?” Hoseok smiled, delighted yet surprised.
“Yeah, is that too soon?”
Hoseok shook his head. “No, no not at all it’s just, I’ve never had someone so eager to cuddle with me before.”
Yoongi shrugged, “It’s just nice to have around while I work.”
Hoseok smirked, “Aren’t you growing too dependent on me?”
Yoongi playfully rolled his eyes, following Hoseok out the door. “Well who knows. Maybe I’m just into quirky guys with too big of hearts.”
“And I’m into the awkward one’s with hearts of gold.” Hoseok spoke, barely above a whisper. “I’ll see you tomorrow hyungie. Sleep tight, okay?”
Yoongi nodded, feeling a gum filled smile overtake his cheeks. “Good night, Hoseokie. Be careful getting home. Actually, just text me when you get home safe, okay?”
Hoseok giggled, “You got it boss.” before slipping through the door and out of sight.
Yoongi went to sit back down at his desk, smile never dimming from his cheeks. “Cute.” He whispered, thinking of how the younger was so shamelessly flirting with him.
And how he was shamelessly flirting with Hoseok.
And how…
Wait…
He was flirting with Hoseok and Hoseok was flirting with him…
Yoongi was quickly shaken back to his senses, reaching to grab his phone and pull up the only contact that he could consult with about what this meant.
Yoongi: Emergency
Namjoon: Emergency?
Namjoon: R u dying ?
Namjoon: ...again
Yoongi: Don’t appreciate
Yoongi: But also, this is serious
Namjoon: What’s going on?
Yoongi: I saw Hoseokie today…
Namjoon: Oh my god you’re calling him ‘Hoseokie’
Namjoon: This is too cute I have to tell Jin hyung
Yoongi: NO
Yoongi: Just help me out please
Yoongi: I don’t know what to do
Namjoon: What happened?
Yoongi: Well it started off like normal, we held hands while I worked and he fell asleep on my shoulder
Namjoon: This is so soft…
Yoongi: Shut up
Yoongi: This is a CRISIS
Namjoon: I don’t see the crisis tho ??
Yoongi: The problem is that we were openly flirting with each other
Yoongi: Or at least I think
Yoongi: And there’s something he’s not telling me…
Namjoon: That’s what the young ones call, talking to your crush
Namjoon: Also you don’t think he's a murderer do you? I mean if he was that would be kinda weird having a crush who won’t tell you he’s a merderer
Yoongi: I don’t know if he likes me or not and I’m being serious here Joon.
Namjoon: What makes you think he’s hiding something?
Yoongi: He had a nightmare...at least I think it was something close to a nightmare
Yoongi: He was scared Joon...I hated it.
Namjoon: Did he tell you what it was about?
Yoongi: No, That’s the thing
Yoongi: I don’t think he’s ready to tell me yet, which is totally fine it’s just…
Yoongi: He’s kind
Yoongi: And he’s so pure
Yoongi: Literally the embodiment of the sun, if you met him you’d probably fall in love too but if you did I’d have to kill you
Namjoon: Noted.
Yoongi: And I just don’t trust the people who he’s cuddling with.
Yoongi: Literally ANYBODY can sign up
Namjoon: Hyung I think you’re just overthinking this too much
Namjoon: He’s a grown man, right?
Namjoon: He can handle himself I’m sure, if he couldn't he wouldn't be doing what he is right now, right?
Yoongi: …
Yoongi: I guess.
Yoongi: I’m just worried, I want him to be okay.
Namjoon: I’m sure if he wasn’t, he would quit
Namjoon: But also, we should discuss this flirting you mentioned
Yoongi: What does it mean ??
Namjoon: It means that he likes you too hyun g
Namjoon: But he’s probably playing it safe because of that contract
Yoongi: Oh yeah, the contract.
Yoongi: Have you had a chance to look into the terms of service?
Namjoon: Yeah...about that…
Yoongi: Joon.
Namjoon: Look it’s been insane how busy I’ve been with Seokjin getting that new job and the kids pestering me to record their showcase dances
Namjoon: I’ll look at it tomorrow, promise.
Yoongi: Okay
Namjoon: Until then, have fun flirting with your boyfriend~
Yoongi: He’s not my boyfriend.
Namjoon: Yes.

Yoongi sighed, a mixture of a kind of lost and hopeful feeling swirling around his chest when his phone lit up.
Yoongi: Hoseokie?
Hoseok: Hyungie! Sorry, you told me to tell you when I got home safe and well, I’m home safe!
Yoongi: *chuckling* You know you could have just texted me that, you didn’t have to call.
Hoseok: I know *shrugs* I just wanted it to be more personable?
Yoongi: Nice save.
Hoseok: Ugh, you’re really going to make me say it, aren’t you?
Yoongi: I’m not making you do anything. But I would like to hear your reasoning as to why you’re calling and not just texting me right now. *smirks*
Hoseok: Well now I’m just regretting it. Goodnight hyung-
Yoongi: Wait! Wait I was just kidding, I’m really happy that you called. But it’s been awhile, did you just get home?
Hoseok: Ah, yeah. I live kind of far away from your studio and well, your general area of living, so my apartment is a bit aways from the city. But if the showcase goes well next month, then hopefully I’ll get the promotion at the studio which means I’ll be able to move in with my friends who actually live pretty close to your studio.
Yoongi: Oh, the ones you dance with?
Hoseok: Yep! The little rascals. They keep telling me to move in with them anyway, but they live in a pretty nice part of town and I know for a fact I wouldn’t be able to pay my share of rent and still be able to eat.
Yoongi: Will you still cuddle once you get the promotion?
Hoseok: Of course! Wait...do you mean cuddle in general? If so, then that’s a definite yes. Nobody is safe from my hugs!
Yoongi: *smiles* Oh man, I hear people cowering in fear already.
Hoseok: Hehe, hugs are my super power after all! But I would quit the cuddling job, yeah. *hesitates* Or at least I would stop taking on new clients. By the way, hyungie, you’re still at your studio?
Yoongi: Oh, yeah. I haven’t left yet.
Hoseok: But it’s so late! You’re not going to stay the night there, are you?
Yoongi: Wouldn’t be the first time, Hoseokie. But I was just about done anyway, I’ll save some files we worked on today and then head home after the call.
Hoseok: *Giggling* You said we but Hyungie I didn’t do anything.
Yoongi: *Shrugs* Moral support counts for something. It’s not easy holding my hand all day, now is it?
Hoseok: Oh, the labor. What a hard world it is.
Yoongi: *Chuckles* You poor thing.
Hoseok: Hyungie, is there something on your mind?
Yoongi: Huh? No, why?
Hoseok: It’s just that...ever since I called, you seem like there’s something you’re thinking about. Or maybe you’re just distracted because you’re tired. Wait- did you not want me to call-
Yoongi: No, no it’s not that at all Hosoekie.
Hoseok: Ah-ha! So there is something on your mind!
Yoongi: Aish, okay, yes. There is something. But it’s fine , we can talk about it some other time.
Hoseok: If there’s something bothering you I want to know Hyung, I’m here for you. You said we’re friends, right? I may not be able to do much to help but I can at least listen and share your burden.
Yoongi: You’re too sweet, Hoseokie. I’m afraid this is something that you may not be able to help too much with. We can save it for another time, yeah?
Hoseok: Are you sure? Does it have anything to do with me?
Yoongi: Yes, I’m sure. And, I can’t really answer that Hoseokie.
Hoseok: That’s exactly what you would answer if it was about me. Hyung whatever I did I’m sorry I promise I never had any ill intentions! Wait is this about me falling asleep? I knew I shouldn’t have-
Yoongi: Hoseokie! Don’t worry, it’s nothing bad. I promise. It may involve you but I promise you, it is nothing bad. I still want to see you again tomorrow, and the day after that and even the day after that if you’ll let me.
Hoseok: Pinky promise?
Yoongi: Pinky promise. *smiles* Now get some sleep, you’ve had a long day.
Hoseok: Okay, will Hyungie go home and get some sleep soon too?
Yoongi: Yes, I promise. I’ll see you tomorrow, yeah?
Hoseok: Yeah. See you tomorrow, good night Hyungie.
Yoongi: Good night, Hoseokie.
