Summary
Xie Lian has seen many things in his long life.
He’s seen the prosperity of his kingdom, the happiness of his people. He’s seen the fall of everything he’s loved, the death of his parents, of his people. He’s seen the seasons change as years, decades and centuries passed after his second decline from heaven.
He’s seen seasons change after his third accession as well. But in those times he wasn’t alone at least. He’s had Hua Cheng with him during those many years after his third rise to godhood. They have seen many things together. Hua Cheng had promised him, so so so many years ago, had yelled the words Xie Lian never known he needed to hear.
