"Thank you for coming," Namjoon said when they sat with their coffee "I wanted to talk to you."
"Well, I'm here, what's this is about?"
"It's about Jungkook," Namjoon said,
"What about my son?" Hoseok questioned,
Kim Seokjin had a two-year relationship with Jung Hoseok, in which they got their now-four-year-old, Kim -Jung Jungkook
When Jungkook was six months old, Jin and Hoseok broke up, having fought all the time, they wanted to be better parents to raise their child in a healthy environment.
Four months later, a little bit before Jungkook's first birthday, Jin met Kim Namjoon while he was looking at baby clothes, which Jin eventually found out were meant for his nephew.
Now, three years later, Namjoon and Jin were happier than ever, with Hoseok dating a new man named Min Yoongi that Jin actually liked.
"I want to marry Jin." Namjoon finally said,
"Oh." Hoseok simply responded, stopping his mug mid-air.
"I know you were worried at first with Jungkook and me meeting him, and now if I propose to Jin..I'll be Kookie's stepfather, and you're his biological dad, so I don't want to overstep."
Hoseok smiled, "Thank you, for, you know, thinking about me..Namjoon, you're the best thing that ever happened to Jin and Jungkook."
"I am?" Namjoon was surprised,
"Yeah," Hoseok chuckled, "Kookie loves you, he already thinks of you as a dad, and Jin..well, I don't think I need to explain to you what he feels about you."
Namjoon blushed, "I love them, I really do."
"Do you promise to take care of them?"
"I'll fight for them with everything I have." Namjoon said sincerely,
"Are you thinking about leaving them at some point?"
Namjoon looked at him with surprise "No, never! I love them too much."
"Are you ready to be Kookie's dad? With all the responsibilities?"
"I'll be the best step-dad he ever had." Namjoon smiled.
They spent the rest of their conversation planning on how they wanted to do it, even going to shop for rings before it was time to go pick Jungkook up from preschool,
"Daddy!" Jungkook ran into Hoseok's arms,
"And look who I brought with me!"
"Joonie!" Jungkook wrapped himself around Namjoon's leg, it wasn't often that Namjoon got to pick up Jungkook as he worked in his studio for long hours and usually it was Jin's best friend, Jimin, or Hoseok's little brother, Jungkook's uncle, Taehyung, who came to pick him up.
"We got a little surprise for your appa, do you want to help us?" Namjoon asked,
Jungkook nodded excitedly,
"Good," Hoseok said, "but you have to keep it a secret."
They took the kid with them and showed him the rings they chose, although if it was up for Jungkook he would get Jin a candy ring.
"Do you think your appa would like this one?" Namjoon showed Jungkook a ring with a big diamond in the middle,
"I think it's perfect." Hoseok answered, "right, Kookie?
"Yep!" Jungkook said, popping the P, he got that from Jin.
"Great! we'll get it." Namjoon told the girl at the register, who smiled at them and took the ring,
"So, this is the plan," Namjoon said "Kookie, your dad is gonna save the ring, and when you come for dinner tomorrow, your job is to make sure you appa won't find out, ok?"
"Yes!"
"Ok so everyone knows their job, I think we're done here." Hoseok said,
When they broke their ways, Namjoon decided to go home and surprise his boyfriend, it was Jungkook's day with Hoseok.
"Something smells good." Namjoon said when he walked in,
"Don't you even dare!" Jin warned him, "It's for dinner tomorrow, I'm making Jungkook his favorite soup."
Namjoon put his hands up and stepped away from the pot, "So who's gonna come tomorrow?"
"Well, Hoseok is gonna come with Yoongi and they're gonna bring Kookie, Tae is gonna come and Jimin too, why?" Jin questioned, Namjoon knew he can't keep secrets from his boyfriends,
"Nothing, just interested," he said, quickly leaving the kitchen before he'll reveal the big secret,
He barely talked until the next day, scared to ruin the surprise.
Namjoon waited patiently until he heard a knock on the door, announcing that someone has arrived,
"Oh," Namjoon said when opened the door to see Taehyung and Jimin "It's you."
"Good to see you, too, Joonie." Jimin smirked,
"It's not that." Namjoon closed the door behind the two,
"So?" Tae asked,
"I'm gonna ask Jin to marry me." Namjoon whispered,
"What?!" Jimin yelled,
"Shhh!!!"
"Jimin?" Jin came to the door "I thought I heard your voice, hey, Tae."
"Hey" Tae smiled, barely looking Jin in the eyes.
Namjoon gave himself a mental slap, why did he tell them?
"I'll open the door!" Namjoon said when he heard a knock on the door, "It's probably Hoseok and Yoongi."
Jin gave his boyfriend another look before walking after Tae and Jimin back to the kitchen,
Namjoon never felt more relieved to see the two guys more than he was right now,
"I have the ring." Hoseok said,
"Good luck, Joonie." Yoongi said, "you're gonna need it."
Namjoon sighed "Ok, Kookie, you remember your job?"
Jungkook nodded, "Appa!" he ran to the kitchen.
"Let the games begin," Hoseok smirked.
Dinner went smoothly, the only time Namjoon was stressed was when Jin joked about how Kookie kept talking to him about marrying Namjoon and bringing him more brothers and sisters.
They put the dishes in the kitchen, leaving them for later, before going out for the backyard,
"Ok," Namjoon said "I really can't wait anymore."
"Babe? Is everything ok?" Jin asked,
"Come here, will you?" Namjoon pulled Jin gently to stand in front of everyone,
"What's happening?"
Hoseok took the box out of his pocket, handing it to Jungkook "go give it to Joonie." he whispered to his son,
"Wh- what is this?" Jin asked when he saw the box,
"Kim Seokjin, will you make me the happiest man on earth..and marry me?" Namjoon opened the box, falling to one knee.
Jin stared at him for a minute with shock, not knowing what to say.
"Oh god." Namjoon mumbled, "are you gonna say no?"
"Kim Namjoon! You're a stupid man if you thought I'm gonna say no!" Jin called,
"So yes?" Namjoon asked,
"Definitely yes."
