Violet wandered in, rubbing her eyes. "Violet," Ron said, still not looking at Draco, "ask Draco if he intends to grace us with his presence for lunch today."
Violet dutifully turned. "Draco, Uncle Ron wants to know if you’ll be here for lunch?"
Draco folded his paper with deliberate slowness. "Tell *Uncle Ron*," he said, his voice dripping with amusement, "that my schedule is uncertain. Though I must say, this passive-aggressive routine is rather… domestic. Reminds me of my mother interrogating Father through the house-elf. Are you auditioning for the role of jealous wife, Weasley?"
Ron whirled around, face flushed. "I am NOT—"
But Lily cut him off, giggling wildly. "Jealous wife! Uncle Ron is Draco’s *girlfriend*!" She dissolved into peals of laughter, bouncing on her toes. "Draco’s girlfriend! Draco’s girlfriend!"
