“How do you do it,” a whisper in the dark room, if it wasn’t for sharing a bed with Yoongi, Jin would’ve thought it was a ghost or a figment of his imagination.
He rolls over to face the younger, snuggled up against his pillow, soft droopy eyes making his heart warm. He raised a hand to caress Yoongi’s cheek; illuminated by the moonlight from the curtains, making him look like an angel, his saving grace. A smile crawls onto his angel’s face.
“How do you do it, Jin? How can you be so giving and sweet?” Yoongi snuggled closer to him, resting his face in the crook of his neck. Arms wrapped around his small waist, pulling his closer to the sleepy man.
“Be the change you want to see in the world. Why should I be angry and not care about my surroundings like others do? Why should I drop myself to that level?” Jin whispered, brushing his fingers through Yoongi’s hair. “I give to make others happy and to see others happy, makes me happy. Simple as that.” Yoongi hummed as a response, leaning into Jin’s hand.
“You’re too good for this world, Seokjin, I want you to know that,” Yoongi murmured as he fell back asleep, snoring softly. Jin kept caressing the younger’s hair, it helps Yoongi sleep, he’d told the older the first night they slept in the same bed.
“I know,” Jin said, to the sleeping Yoongi and to himself.
Why return to old habits that ends up hurting the people you care about the most?
