Chapter Text
Today, Kacchan threw my hero notebook out of the window and it landed on the pond below. Fortunately it's only halfway burnt and i can still read it albeit a few words cut off. My dumb mind kept repeating Kacchan words of him suggesting me to take the leap and hope for a quirk in my next life. Thankfully i took that with a grain of salt because that's just how Kacchan is. As soon as i picked up my notebook, i walked upstairs to the roof to contemplate on my life.
I'm not killing myself, i'm not. I just wanted to take a breather while the school is still open for an another hour. I sat on the floor cross legged and opened my book, i decided to polish my knowledge on the quirks inside. I saw one of Kamui Woods and imagined what it felt to have wood as your body. What if there's a fire? I chuckled to myself and continued to flip the pages until i arrived at the end. Reading all about the quirks inside make sigh heavily as i remembered about what the doctor diagnosed about me long ago.
I had been an excited child, curious as to what quirk i would have. A telekinesis like my Mom or fire breathing like my Dad? Or maybe, a fire breathing telekinesis? I know that's silly but i'm just a child back then.
But my hopes and dreams were crushed by that doctor who diagnosed me as quirkless. After that things changed. Mom is not as cheerful as she was. It used to be her crying silently at night or staring at the bacon she cooked until it burnt. But what took the cake was when she got wind of Dad's passing. She decided to eat her sorrow away and i drown myself in Quirk analyzing. We're both distant back then but now it had changed, Mom accepted Dad's death and moved on. Me? I don't think i'm as sad as Mom thought i would be. Dad hasn't been around since i'm a mere 2 years old. His job overseas took most of his time and he only face timed us once in a blue moon.
Then Kacchan happened. He changed drastically when i rescued him from the lake. When he got wind of me being quirkless, his personality turned worse and he began to torment me in every way he can. The school didn't help either and turned a blind eye to my suffering. Now i'm sure it won't change when i enter highschool.
I closed my eyes in deep thought as i remembered my goal: UA. It doesn't have to be the hero course. Even getting in the support or management course makes me thrilled. I'll be sure to do my best in the written exam.
I opened my eyes slowly...
And i screamed.
What greeted me was a flying? Guinea pig? With white fur and pink spots?
I panted heavily, a hand reaching out to clutch at my chest. I blinked my eyes and no, the guinea pig is not an illusion! It's pink wings fluttered and it made it's way to me. I unconsciously distanced myself from it. It dropped on my lap and i frozened on my place.
"W-what?"
That came out rather well. The guinea pig stared at me. Ok, i admit it's quite cute and i relaxed. Was about to ask the general questions when it opened it's mouth and—
"Are you willing to sign a contract with me ?"
"Hyaaah?!!"
The guinea pig flew towards me in a speed that should be illegal and shuts my mouth with its tiny hands. Oh my God that's so cute— so i closed my mouth and stared at the guinea pig with bewildered eyes.
"Ok. Hear me out kid! My name is Leondal and you need to help me!" It—no, Leondal asked desperately. I'm still shocked the animal can talk though. I only know one animal who can talk and it's Principal Nedzu fron UA. Also i'm pretty sure guinea pig doesn't have wings.
"It's because i'm not! Look i'm cursed in this forn and the only way i can turn into my original form is to collect Pure Energy! And you have loads, LOADS of it!"
Ah, my mutterings has been heard again. Leondal dropped to my lap once again and they looked at me with such eyes that i can't almost deny—
But i digress. Continuing on, my mind began to work Leondal's words out. Pure Energy? Me? "What's a pure energy? And you are cursed?! What kind of curse?! Kind of hard to believe when you are a guinea pig..." I scratched my left cheek and avoided Leondal's gaze.
Leondal nodded to all of my questions and chuckled when they heard the last one. Oh not to mention their squeaky voice. I waited for Leondal to explain.
"Ookay!" Leondal coughed. They flew upwards and now face to face with me. "Let me restart. I am Prince Leondal James d'Architant. The fourth prince amd candidate to the throne of Kingdom Maldochnovias! I am cursed by My Second and Third Brother to A. Mere. Guinea. Pig!!"
My head is spinning with the information and, Maldoch? Maldoch—what? Why is it so long? Prince? Wait! Why is there a Kingdom anyways? I raised a hand to stop Leondal from overflowing me with informations.
"L-Leondal....L-let me digest this first"
Leondal waited a minute before i gave him the sign to continue. "I'm from another world. I escaped here so i could regain my energy and fight my brothers. If the Kingdom's name is too long for you, call it...Kingdom Over The Clouds"
"Pure Energy is something made out of a human's will. The strong feeling to protect, to love, to help. Our Kingdom was once filled by Pure Energy—practically wrapped in a bubble of Pyre Energy— but when my Eldest Brother left our Kingdom to journey other worlds, the two brothers left behind began to fight for the throne! Except me, of course. I'm enjoying my life surrounded by Pure Energy in my room. My brothers manipulated me into coming out with a...good bait and they turned me into this...this creature you call a guinea pig!"
"Then Malicious Energy wrapped our kingdom like a bubble, eating any Pure Energy it once had. My two brother wages at a war at each other and i know that Kingdom is ruined. I escaped before the war even began and when the tension were so thick it's suffocating"
I blinked my eyes and nodded in understanding. Leondal's head dropped and he's super cute again. Oh no, i'm about to fall down in a never ending pit of cuteness and love. "Then...about your Eldest Brother? Why didn't he come back to solve the problem?" I relaxed myself and patted my lap. Leondal flew down to my lap slowly.
"Eldest Brother...i don't know about him. Right now all i can focus in is getting more Pure Energy to transform myself back so i can fill the Kingdom with Pure Energy"
"And how are you going to do that? By asking people to sign a contract with you?"
Leondal nodded his head eagerly, "Every Prince has a power that requires a little amount of Pure Energy. I have some in me that can help me activate my trump card. It's called 'Guidance for The Lost Lambs'. I provide people with a contract to sign and they are bestowed with certain powers. The people i contracted with will be under my protection and if they are harmed, my Pure Energy will help them heal. Even regenerate some lost limbs. You can't be harmed mentally either because i, myself, has a large wall blocking the entrance to my mind. Because if you are contracted under me, that means we're connected!"
"So the same protection goes to you as well. Even if i do change worlds, it will not change. Juuust because the humans here has powers they call Quirks doesn't mean they can take me on! Huh!"
Leondal looked up at me with the best puppy eyes i know he's doing and gripped my pants, "Pretty please? Please please contract with me! Please help me, i beg you!!"
I'm still shocked at his revelations though. So my mind halted a bit at processing his words, "Well..um i—"
Then suddenly i hear a loud BOOM! Not far from here. I jolted upwards and remembered that i'm here for too long. "No no no no— Leondal i HAVE to go! I'll see you later!...i think? Anyways—"
I quickly packed my things, slung my bag over my shoulder and rushed downstairs. I even forgot to close the door behind me in haste. I ignored Leondal's shout of 'Hey!'
I managed to get out of the school before the gate closes on me. I looked around in search for the source of that loud boom in the air. I followed the sounds of people screaming and yelling. No no no, a villain??
I kept running at full speed until i saw a group of people around a sludge villain and a bunch of pro heroes. I pushed forward and what greeted me make my face pale.
In front of me is Kacchan struggling against the slime villain that held him captive. He's suffocating. I know. My hands trembled so bad, i wanted to save him. Save Kacchan or he'll die!
I know he's been cruel to me, he bullied me, but nobody, even Kacchan, deserve that! Kacchan still has dreams to be a hero. To be number one. Dilemma clawed at my heart making my breathing heavy. I pulled my hair and stayed frozen in place.
The yells of people and the panicked tone of the pros around me made my head throb. There were ringing in my ears, i can only helplessly watch Kacchan as he slowly sunk inside that sludge—
Before i know it, i ran towards Kacchan in full speed and threw my bag at the villain. Luckily it hits their head. I hope my bag is heavy enough with all the books i carried. The villain loosened their grip on Kacchan. I took this chance to pull him out of there with all of my might.
"Kid! Stay back!"
The echoes of the pros around me and the gasps of the civilians are clear to me. I pay no attention to that as i struggle to pull Kacchan out while the villain is distracted by some other heroes.
"Deku! What the fuck are you doing here?!"
"I-i don't know! My body moved on its own and i—!"
Tears streamed down my face, i realized the villain is about to attack Kacchan and me. I prayed in vain for someone, someone to please help us!
Then i heard a buzzing sound and the world around me stopped dead. I stopped pulling Kacchan and stared around. People are frozen, Kamui Woods was in the middle of shouting something at me. The villain was just inches away from Kacchan.
"You need help right?"
A familiar voice called out to me. Leondal's voice. I whipped my head around and found him flying right behind me. "I—"
I looked at Leondal's pleading eyes and nodded eagerly, "Yes! I need— i need a big help! Please, please i'll contract with you, so?"
Leondal smiled and the world around us bursts in a bright light. I instantly felt warm and now we're in a bubble of light. I'm no longer holding Kacchan's hand. We floated upwards as Leondal whippes out an old parchment in front of me. It's empty though. No scribbles, nothing.
"Repeat after me,"
"O i beg of you The Stars who have guided me through all the pains and sufferings of the world, to free me of all the burdens and let The One stand by me for all eternity"
I raised an eyebrow at that long phrase. Uh? Stars? "Can you...repeat it?"
Leondal sighed, "We'll repeat it until you can"
"Thank you"
I finally finished saying the complete phrase without stumbling and got tongue tied. The parchment in front of me glowed bright yellow before it dimmed and a golden butterfly insignia is shown. Under the insignia is my name and...
"Marion..Gold?"
Leondal cheered when he read the parchment, "Yay! Your name is Midoriya Izuku? Nice to meet you! Oh and OH! Marion Gold is the name you'll use under me. Everytime you use that name, the powers and protections bestowed to you by me can be used anytime!"
"Wow....this is...this is so surreal" i commented as i grabbed the parchment in front of me. I traced the insignia with my finger to feel how smooth it is.
"Now! You are officially contracted under me. But i must inform you quite a few things..."
"What is it??"
"I did say everyone under me are protected. Including their identity! This is useful because my brothers won't know which one is under me! So... You're alright with a skirt...right?"
Cue the jaw drop.
"WHAT?!"
"No time to waste !! LET'S GO MARION GOLD!"
"EEEEH?!?!"
The light bubble then engulfed us two. From that, my body moved on its own. There's this weird sensation of me growing taller and...just generally weird. I closed my eyes the moment we are engulfed in light and when i opened them we're inside this weird pink dimension with sparkles.
Too many sparkles.
I looked around and examined myself—
"WAIT—I'M A GIRL?! LE-LEONDAL!"
No answer. I looked at my body helplessly before blushing and closed my eyes. No. No. Get yourself together, Izuku! Kacchan and everyone needed to be saved!
'Go get yourself together Marion Gold! I can't hold much longer!!'
Leondal's voice! I nodded with a determined expression on my face. Right now, i'm Marion Gold and i'll save everyone here from that villain!
Then those sparkles around circled me and engulfed me in a light. I won't be surprised i'll be blind from all of the unhealthy amount of light i received.
In result, my hair turned blonde and tied to the back. My dress doesn't have that much color in it except for the crystal embedded on the middle. It glowed bright yellow. My shoes are interesting. They both has wings on each side and it's peach! The boots itself seemed like it's made out of a hot pink leather. Tied around my forearms are pink armbands. I wore white gloves that reached to my elbow. I assume it's to avoid getting any fingerprints or just there for decorations.
All in all this is ok. But very girly. Good thing i transformed into a girl because i definitely doesn't want anybody to catch me wearing this costume as a male!
"You can do it! You can do it! From the light i came to assist the lost lambs, Come follow me! For i am Marion Gold!"
Once again, why and how did i manage to say that? I also did some cute poses, like—? But this is kind of fun so i decided to roll with it. The pink dimension disappeared along with the sparkles. I came out of some kind of a light portal and sees....
My own body?! But on the ground as the villain tackled Kacchan again?!
"Ka—!"
'Sssh! Right now you are Marion Gold! Not Izuku Midoriya! Good thing at the time of the contract was made i was brimming with Pure Energy from you! So i can make it look like you're there but KO!'
"Illusion..." I muttered lowly under my breath. That light portal opened at the sky and made it seem like i jumped down from a building. Good good. People began to notice me as i readied myself into a fighting stance.
'Marion Gold! Because this is your first time, i shall be instructing you okay?!'
I nodded my head, "Okay, let's do this Leondal"
Leondal instructed me to join both of my hands together and to follow his every words, "O the Stars, please help this lost lamb and light our way"
Leondal told me to seperate both of my hands and i did, right when a sword appeared. In its blade i can see weird black squiggles. I grabbed the handle and somehow just know what to do.
I kicked off the ground and ran towards the sludge villain. Some tried to stop me but i'm too fast for them to grab even my hair. "HYAAAAAAAAH!!" I let out a huge war cry and slashed the villain viciously. The villain screamed and i slashed at his arms (?) That held Kacchan tightly. I grabbed his arm and threw him towards the heroes. I blocked the villain's oncoming attack. The force propelled me backwards.
'Marion Gold! Use your armbands! It'll magically turn into a capture tool necessary for any type of enemy! Be it liquid or not!'
I let go both of my pink armbands and it joined to form one bottle. "Dear Villain! Please cooperate while i am merciful today!"
The villain screamed again and i took that as a no. So following Leondal's instructions, I opened the bottle's cap and aimed it at the villain. The bottle pulled the sludge villain in until no traces of sludge can be found anywhere.
After it's done. I sighed and turned around to throw the bottle at a hero. If i'm not mistaken it's Mount Lady. Oh, don't worry. I put the cap back on so the villain can't escape.
But that cap...is my armband y'know?? How do i get it back?
'Magic has its way around. It'll be back before you know it'
Interesting.
As i watched my body getting carried away i realized one thing. This counts as a vigilante act....right? Crap, what do i do? Right. Escape. But how? Do i fly with these...wings on my shoes?
"Hey! Are you new here? Never seen you before"
Kamui Woods approached me casually as he asks the question i dreaded the most. Leondal what do i do? What do i do?
'Visualize you flying with that wings! I know you're great with imaginations! Go!'
Noticing that i took too long to answer, Kamui Woods raised an eyebrow. His gaze full of suspicion, "Are you—"
I closed my eyes and visualized the wings on my shoes flapping until it brought me upwards. And it did. Before the hero finished his question, I've already flew upwards and escaped the place.
'Great job today Marion Gold! How about we go home and—'
"What about my body?!" I asked desperately. Isn't that body an illusion? 'Oh, we'll just wait until your Mom bring your body back. And you're right, that body is an illusion! But it's the perfect clone! Fits you to a T,
Right now just rest and let me handle everything okay??'
I nodded tiredly. We arrived at my home, i managed to sneak in because Mom apparently got called by the heroe to inform her of 'my' condition and went to hospital.
I finally released the transformation and dropped dead on my bed. I even forgot to change out of school uniform and proceeded to sleep.
But before darkness took me away, i heard a small buzz and a male voice saying "Good night, Good job"
