“How’s the resident sweetheart doing today?” A soft voice asked from behind you, pulling you into a soft and comfy hug. You smiled and leaned back into the person you had quickly realized was Hizashi.
“Eh. I’m alright. I’m just really tired, today’s classes really strung me out.” You admitted, yawning almost on cue.
“Why don’t you get changed, and we can cuddle up on the couch and watch something, hm?” Hizashi whispered in your ear, softly tracing circles on your hips. You nodded, taking a step forward before turning around to face your boyfriend.
“I’m guessing Shouta is off on an adventure right now?”
“Indeed. We were all out of coffee, so he decided to head out and shop.”
“Aw. Shame. We could’ve had a cuddle pile.” You giggled, trudging to your shared bedroom to change into something more comfortable. The ‘something’ being one of Shouta's sweatshirts and a pair of your sweatpants. Throwing your hair up out of your face and off of your neck, you made your way back to the living room. Hizashi was laying flat on the couch, his head propped up on the armrest as he flipped through Netflix. He smiled when he saw you, raising his arms to invite you over to the couch.
“Come join me, baby!” He hollered, sounding excitable as always. A stupid grin made its way onto your face as you straddled his waist, looking over him once more. His hair was up in a supremely messy bun, little wispy hairs framing his face. His green eyes were as vibrant as ever behind his red-framed glasses, his eyes practically sparkling as he returned your glance.
“God, you’re so adorable.” You whined, pressing a tiny kiss to Hizashi’s cheek as you laid on top of him. He placed a hand on your back, absentmindedly beginning to trace shapes through the sweatshirt you were wearing.
“Right back atcha, cutie.” He hummed, his chest vibrating against your cheek. “Now, what should we watch?”
You two eventually settled on watching Chopped, getting way too into it as the dessert round showed up. Both of you were rooting for the same chef, waiting in anticipation as Ted lifted the cover off of the Chopped dish. “Ha! Yes!” You two cheered, not bothering to listen to the reasons that the other chef was chopped for. As your mini celebration died down, the front door swung open to reveal none other than Shouta himself. “Hey, you. You’re home late, did you end up actually grocery shopping?” Hizashi spoke, sitting up with you in his lap.
“I would have rather done that.” He sighed, visibly exasperated as he ran his free hand through his hair. “No, I got caught up in some last minute hero shit. I’m just… glad to be home.” He slouched over, the exhaustion of the day finally catching up with him. You hopped up off of Hizashi and made your way over to Shouta, gingerly taking the shopping bag from him and passing it on to Hizashi.
“Tell you what, let’s get you taken care of first. Then we can all snuggle up out here. ‘Kay?” You smiled, a tender look in your eyes as you met Shouta's tired ones.
“I’ll brew you a cup, if ya want.” Hizashi piped in, holding up the canister of coffee from the bag.
A soft smile fell over Shouta's features, and he nodded. “Sounds great.”
First, you led him to the bedroom and let him strip his dirty clothes off, taking care of them as he rummaged through his dresser drawers for something comfy and warm. Though the light in the room was low, you could make out a dark splotch on his left side. “Hold on, hon…” You mumbled, turning on a couple more lights so you could see it better. His left side was beginning to bruise, starting at his hip. You could tell from the redness that it would eventually take up most of his side, up to the middle of his ribcage. You ran your fingertips along the tender, heated skin, making Shouta inhale sharply, flinching away. “Sorry, babe. But jeez, what did you do?” You asked, concern lacing your voice.
“I was trying to run over to one of the other heroes and I… I fucking tripped.” He huffed, holding up his extensively scraped right hand, “That’s also what caused this.” He muttered, pulling his clothes out of his dresser. You took his hand gently, studying the wounds covering his palm.
“I know you hate it when I play doctor with you, but this really should get cleaned up, babe.” You stated, tapping your fingers against his wrist. He threw his head back slightly, resisting the urge to groan in annoyance. He tossed his pajamas onto the bed, trailing behind you into the bathroom across the hall. You took time to clean all of the dirt and asphalt from his palm, finally wrapping his hand in gauze and pressing a small kiss to his bandaged palm. “Now, go get dressed. I’m getting cold just looking at you.” You urged, beginning to smell the coffee that Hizashi was brewing.
The three of you were finally gathered on the couch. Shouta, despite you suggesting that he should have been on the outside, decided to squish in right next to Hizashi. Of course, that meant that Hizashi had to be extra careful because he was near Shouta's bruised side. The blonde decided on safely putting an arm around Shouta's shoulders, pulling him close. Meanwhile, you had your legs over the armrest of the couch, head laying on Hizashi’s lap and your torso on Shouta's. Both you and Hizashi let your tired boyfriend choose what to watch for the night. As Shouta sipped at his coffee, paying intense attention to the television, you beamed at how much more relaxed he looked.
Once he finished his coffee, he leaned forward to set his mug down on the table. He placed his bandaged hand on your thigh, turning his head and pressing a short, yet sweet, kiss to Hizashi’s cheek. “Thank you.” He mumbled, following it with another peck on the cheek. Patting your thigh and gesturing for you to sit up, he stretched forward to plant a kiss on your cheek as well. “And thank you.” Giving you a second kiss as well, he finally moved to lean back into the couch. “Love you.” He said quietly, eyes half closed already.
“Love you too, Shou.” Both you and Hizashi responded in unison, dorky smiles on your faces.
