They say that beauty is a curse.
James would be inclined to disagree, at least partially. After so many years on this Earth, surely he has to be considered an expert by now, right?
Beauty definitely has its up-sides. When you’re a demon who feeds on sexual energy, it certainly makes your job easier when you’re gorgeous enough to make pretty much anybody jump at the chance to sleep with you.
There comes a point, though, where you have to wonder what the purpose of it all is. What’s the use in the entire world seeing you as beautiful, when they’re not actually seeing you?
