Summary
Over three hundred years ago, five families in Salem made a deal with a demon. The Lightwoods, Truebloods, Herondales, Fairchilds, and Starkweathers had let every single person in the area with the slightest potential for magic burn in their stead, in return for their own safety and for powers beyond the imagination, passed down through the generations.
