Chapter Text
The numbers “00:29” glowed on the bedside alarm clock. In just eight hours there was to be a minor, but important midterm exam. Every student should have been getting a good rest beforehand. So why could Mr. Aizawa still hear voices and footsteps from the common room? At first, he thought it was just a few stragglers doing last minute revision. But a sudden burst of giggles was the last straw!
Mr. Aizawa flung open his door, marched down the short hall and emerged into a brightly lit, busy, noisy common room. There were much more than a few stragglers - all twenty students of class 1-A were present. A small but diligent group sat in a circle on the floor, rubbing their eyes and mindlessly turning textbook pages. Others, however, were not so focused.
Loose papers stuck to the walls at random, a few smouldering notes drifted through the air and more than one student had apparently passed out on the couches. And of course, more than one quirk was in use. Mr. Aizawa blinked, then glared forcefully into the room. The music stopped and a couple of students fell from the ceiling.
No one was seriously injured, though and Mr. Aizawa calmly said, “Alright, that’s enough for tonight. You should all get some sleep before your test.”
There was a collective moan and the studious ones tried to object. Mr. Aizawa just turned his gaze their way and they quickly agreed that he was right and sleep was an excellent idea.
It was amazing what the class could do with proper motivation. Within 60 seconds, the room was so clean it looked brand new and the entire class had vanished, boys to the left and girls to the right. Mr. Aizawa sighed and gratefully returned to his room.
The first night of exam week had begun.
