I'm at this hospital for 2 or 3 years and this one specific dream won't leave me alone since then. I attempted to kill myself before I got into this hospital. Through an overdose of various pills. But I didn't succeed because shortly before my end was near, my sister found me and brought me to the hospital.
Unfortunately she died last year in a plane crash. I had no one else besides her anymore.
I wanted to get away from here, but there wasn't an option to flee from this place.
The door suddenly opened and revealed doctor Kim. He was watching over me the whole time. But couldn't find anything.
The doctor sat down on a chair across the bed I was currently on.
"Good morning, Hoseok. How are you feeling today? Something new about your dreams?", he asks and looks at me with a light smile.
"No."
"Are you really sure? You know you can always talk to me."
"Taehyung! When I tell you there was nothing, then it is like that. I thought you know me better.", I shout at him even though I hated it.
"Alright. Just calm down, please. That's not good for your blood pressure."
I looked away from him, but he got closer and kneeled down infront of me and put a hand on top of my. He gently stroked it and cupped my face with the other hand so I was forced to look at him.
"Everything's going to be okay, Hoseok. I promise that to you. As soon as somethig new happens, you're going to tell me about it. Okay?"
I trusted Taehyung, since I know him since my childhood and we were best friends ever since.
"Okay, Tae.", I finally said with a sigh.
"Can you leave me alone? I'd like to try to sleep.", I ask him and he nods smiling before he hugged me and finally left the room. At the door he said, "I'm coming back in a few hours and look after you."
*Dreamphase*
I opened my eyes and found myself, like always, in a white room that looked like a padded cell. The clock on the wall showed that it was exactly 01:00 o'clock. At this moment the two flaps, that were to my left and right side and red, orange and half-red half-orange coloured pills flowed out. Such as the ones I had tried to kill myself with. They were flowing out until the entire floor was filled with them.
I stood up from my sitting position and took one of the two-toned pills and stuffed it inside my mouth and gulped it down. This was only a dream so nothing would happen. I walked over towards the door and looked if it was still locked. But to my deplore it opened this time. As O walked outside I found myself at the beginning of a forest part. There stood a sign written in Japanese letters, ehich is why I couldn't understand what was written on the sign. Unfortunately that forest looked familiar.
The Aokigahara forest!
But how is this possible? I've never been there before, but I heard a lot about this forest. For example that this forest is also called the suicide forest. A lot of people already came here to end their lives. But when they brought a tent with them they weren't sure if they should do it.
I walked a few steps back, but it was like the forest magically forced me in. “It won't get too bad as long as I stay on the path.”, I thought, but my body worked on it's own.
I soon got away from the path and got far deeper into the Aokigahara. It was pitch-dark, but I could still make out a creature in front of me: A girl with long black hair and a white gown. At first she looked like a Yourai, but when I could see her face she was in the same condition as me. She seemed quite helpless. But who knows. Maybe I'm wrong and she actually is a Yourai.
The girl slowly walked towards to me. She was limping on the left side, but I don't think much of it. She stays directly in front of me and suddenly the cute girl turned into an extremely scary Yourai.
Before she could attack me I find myself back inside the padded cell. But instead of the white emotionless walls, the walls were coloured with colourful colours like I'd be on some sort of drug.
“Is this because of the preparation I took earlier?”
I looked around the room and touched a wall. It was completely covered in slime that just had to get stuck on my hand. I tried to get it off, but it was useless. Suddenly the entire room started to shake and quiver like crazy.
With regard to that I slid to the floor and closed my eyes. As I opened them again, I find myself back inside the white cell. The quivering was still present even here- as strong as before and I didn't dare to move.
It took another 20 minutes, before the shaking finally stopped. I opened my eyes another time and immediately everything turned black.
*End of dreamphase*
I basically shot up and breathed heavily. The door to my room suddenly opened and Taehyung came inside, making me jump because of it.
"Sorry. I didn't want to scare you. I can already see there was a change. Tell me about it.", he said and sat down next to me onto the bed. He carefully moved a strand of hair away that fell onto my face. I sat up and snaked my arms around my best and only friend. He put his arms around me and softly stroked my head.
"You know the Aokigahara forest, don't you.", I said and it seemed like I shocked Taehyung with it.
"Don't tell me you were there!"
"Unfortunately yes. I wanted to back away from the forest, but it was like as if I was magically sucked into there. I tried to stay on the path, but I got further away from the path and got deeper inside the forest. Somewhen a creature appeared in front of me. A Yourai to be exact. I didn't think much about it, but as she got closer the once xute creature changed into a scary Yourai."
"Okay. Can you describe this Yourai?"
"She ha d long black hair and wore a white gown."
"That's how almost every female Yourai looks like. Could you se her face?"
"She had beautiful violet eyes, a rather slim face and on her left cheek was a rose."
"That encloses the circle at least. It exists only one Yourai that looks like that. Her name is Bara which means rose. She died about 50 years ago after falling into a bush of roses. The thornes stuck her eyes out and her throat line."
"But that wasn't everything. Before she could attack me I was back into the cell. But the walls were coloured all of a sudden and covered in some sort of slime."
"Did you take one of the pills that were in the room?"
"One of the two-toned ones. Why?"
"Ah, I see. The room seemed like that because of the preparation you took. That was all an illusion."
"Even the stuff with the Aokigahara?"
Taehyung nodded and put his forehead against mine. "I promise you that everything is going to be alright. We can do this together. Just don't listen to what others tell you. You're perfect the way you are."
"Thanks, Tae. I can always trust you. You are the only one who always stands by me and cheered me up whenever I had one of these phases."
"Hey, that's what best friends are for." He looked over to the clock and and sah that it was aleady 13:23 o' clock. " Let's go. It's time to for lunch. Today we have vegetable casserole. And for dessert chocolate pudding. You really have to eat more. You're getting thinner and thinner."
"Are you sure that I don't just get fatter?"
"Hoseok! What did I tell you about the topic weight?!"
"If I weight too less I could die."
"Exactly. And you had only 49 kg during the last measurment the past two weeks. That's too less. You have to eat more. Come on now. Let's get you into the cafeteria."
Taehyung pulled me onto my feet ad pulled me into the big room.
