Ah.... it was Steve who was the jealous idiot (although Tony being dense to Steve's intentions romantic or otherwise is just as fucking hilarious)
Steve abd Tony are best buddies and after Tony is suffered a breakup to end all break ups (seriosuly, Carol turned into a frakin' STAR) they fall back on their comfortable familiar friendship for a while.
After a year, Tony figures it's ok to ease back into the dating sphere (and who'da thunk it'd be with a lovely doctor that he'd take things slow with)
His mistake? Letting her meet Steve who has a green streak a mile wide and it takes the doctor one night to see the connection between out two idiots that they don't. -
