Korean broth tang (soup) made from ox bones (mostly leg bones), brisket and other cuts. Seasoning is generally done at the table according to personal taste by adding salt, ground black pepper, red pepper, minced garlic, or chopped spring onions. It is a local dish of Seoul.Kim Taehyung was surprised as one night, just when he was about to close his family’s restaurant, there was a dark haired young man stumbling into the small restaurant owned by him and his mother and offered him a crumpled bill and a few coins, saying in his velvety voice,
“I know it’s not enough for a meal. But, I’d gladly accept whatever you could give me.”
To be honest, the money the man had given to him was barely enough to buy a small portion of tteokbokki.Taehyung gave him a bowl of seolleongtang, completed with rice and kimchi.
