Work Text:
Markus pouted a little, making puppy eyes at North and Josh. “Please? Just one tag video. That’s it.”
North shook her head. “No way. That’s exactly what you said to Simon, and now he records with you all. The. Time.”
“What were you just saying about me?” Simon asked as he entered their apartment.
“Markus wants to do a video with all of us – the ‘Significant Other’ tag – but North brought up that it took exactly one painting video for you to start appearing in all his videos,” Josh explained before Simon gave him a quick kiss.
“Well, it’s a lot more fun than I was expecting, and the audience likes it, so…” He shrugged.
“Yeah, and why do you think they like it?” North asked. “Seriously, I’ve been stalking the tags, and do you know how much smut people have written about you guys?”
“Shit, I didn’t think about that…” Markus said. “Josh? Will you at least do the video with Simon and me?”
“I’m not sure… one of my students is going to find it eventually, and I don’t want them knowing random things about my life…”
“We’ll go over the questions beforehand, make sure everyone’s okay with all of them, and then we’ll edit the video together. If there’s anything you don’t want in the video, we’ll make sure it’s not there.”
“Okay, I’ll do it,” Josh said with a little sigh.
“Good, sit down and let’s start talking about this.” Markus patted the space next to him on the couch where he usually filmed his vlogs. “The first question is ‘How did you meet?’”
North burst out laughing. “So, ‘Markus tripped and fell right into our lives’?”
“That’s not how I would put it, but—“
“It’s completely true,” Josh said with a shrug and a grin.
“North, you’re a natural at this!” Simon said.
“Thanks, but I’m still not going on camera.”
Markus perked up. “Does that mean…?”
“Yes, babe, I’ll be your camerawoman. Your mic will still pick up my voice from back here, right?”
“Y-yeah, I think so,” Markus replied, blushing at the pet name.
“I have an idea,” Simon said. “Markus, would you be okay if the rest of us called you ‘babe’ on camera?”
Josh quickly caught on. “Oh, that would be fun…”
“And it gets even better,” North said with a wink.
“Hi, Deviants, it’s Markus, and you’ll notice I have some special guests for this week’s vlog. If you’ve been here before, you’ll recognize Simon, and if not, make sure you hit the subscribe button and click the bell to turn on notifications. Anyways, this is Josh, and behind the camera is North—“
“Hi!” A voice said from off screen, and a blurry hand waved in front of the camera before coming into focus.
“North, you’re messing up the focus! Sorry guys…”
“It’s okay, babe, I’ve got it!” The hand went away, and Markus, Simon, and Josh came back into focus.
“Uh, anyways, today we’re doing the ‘Significant Other’ tag. In case you weren’t aware, the four of us are all dating each other, and we’ve been dating for about—“
“Babe, isn’t that the first question?” Simon interrupted, waving his phone in front of Markus’ face.
“Oh-oh yeah! Question one, how long have you been dating?”
“Six months,” Josh said.
“Hey, you’re no fun!” North complained.
“And that gives us the answer to question 26, ‘What do you argue about the most?’,” Markus said.
“Wait, how many questions are there?!” North asked, gasping in fake surprise.
“Hmm… I’m not sure…” Markus scrolled through the list. “We might have to cancel our afternoon plans.”
“No, babe, not our cuddle session with Desperate Housewives!” Simon said.
Josh covered his mouth with his hand, trying to hold in his laughter.
“Ooh, let’s do the ‘Name your favorite thing about the other person’ question! My favorite thing about Josh is his laugh!” North shouted, the audio crackling.
Josh took his hand away from his mouth and allowed himself to laugh.
“Guys, we haven’t even answered question two yet!” Markus protested. “’How did you meet?’”
“As North likes to put it, ‘Markus tripped and fell into our lives’,” Simon answered first.
“I’m not as clumsy as they make me sound.”
“You know we love you, babe,” Josh said, kissing Markus on the cheek.
“S-seriously, I’m not!”
“Then make a video of your parkour to prove it, babe!” North shouted, the audio crackling again.
“F-fine! I will!”
“And while you’re at it, make a video telling your fans to stop writing so much smut, I follow all of the tags and it’s a little weird,” North said. “Also, Simon doesn’t really watch Desperate Housewives, and who covers their mouth when they laugh? Seriously, your fanfiction is weird. And before you ask, OUR KINKS ARE NOT YOUR BUSINESS!”
