Chapter Text
This whole place stinks.
I sat by myself—like always—reading a book. When really I was just using it to cover up my phone. I’d rather read about what the Kardashian’s are up to then some dead white men.
College is a big pain in ass, but since I have strict parents, I, Min Yoongi, have to graduate. Making the pain even worse.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not failing no classes. I’m a decent student. Being social isn’t my thing though, which is hard when you’re a semi adult. I also don’t show no emotion, I don’t show my weak, sad side to anyone. Just a straight pale faced boy.
The library was the only place I could be myself. Everyone was quiet, nobody talked to each other unless you had a friend that you had to study with, or some jocks causing trouble. But they soon get kicked out, so Yoongi coudnt care less.
Checking the time, I got up and went to the bookshelves to return the book to its place. I placed it back but stopped when I heard a sniffle.
Was someone crying? In the library of all places.
It was behind the bookshelves. So I had to walk around and stop to see a boy sitting cross cross on the floor, that kinda looked like my age. What’s strange was that he was sucking his thumb, eyes puffy while clenching on a teddy bear. The blond didn’t look up at me. I didn’t know what to do.
I scrunched down and tilted my head. “Hey. Stop crying.” That only made him cry more.
Damn I’m not good at this.
I sighed and got up glancing around. “Stop crying. Seriously it’s a library, they’ll hear you!” I whispered but the blond just sat there, scooting a little away from me. Taking a glanced at me.
“T-taeTae,” he sniffed, “s-she leave T-Taetae.” He said in between his wobbly lips. I don’t know what he’s talking about.
“Who’s Tae?” I ask, sitting down next to the boy. Seems like I’m calming him.
“M-me...me is T-Tae.” He pointed to himself and I just gave him a confused looK. Why’s he talking in third person?
“Alright...Tae,” I patted his shoulder. He was fine with it. “Why are you crying?” I ask again, wanting a clear answer this time.
“S-She said...T-Tae was being a b-baby..,” he wiped his eyes and continued. “S-She hurt TaeTae.”
I nodded, when honestly he doesn’t know what’s happening. He does know there’s a boy crying in the library though. Grabbing the boys hand, he lifted him up.
The boy—Taes eyes lit up and a small smile formed on his lips. “You taking me somewhere.” He asked. I nodded.
“Of course. I’m not gonna let you cry, especially not in a library.”
