When Jungkook opens his eyes he’s met with the sight of the clock showing him that he only has 20 minutes to get to class. He stayed up late last night playing fortnight, but he was sure his five alarms would have woken him up, but somehow he managed to sleep through all of them.
He runs out to the kitchen with only one sock on his feet and sees his roommate Taehyung, eating scrambled eggs.
Taehyung is not surprised to see him like this. He warned the younger not to stay up late. Tae stays up late with Jungkook, but today he has an exam so he couldn’t risk It.
‘I prepared you coffee. Figured you would be in a rush’ Kook sighs mumbling a thanks to his best friend while getting a piece of toasted bread and the coffee.
‘I should get going Mr. Lee is gonna kill me if I’m late’
Tae eats his scrambled eggs making a ‘hmm’ sound acknowledging Kooks statement, knowing how strict Mr. Lee is.
‘Aren’t you forgetting anything?’ Taehyung asks standing up from the table, going next to Jungkook.
Kook stands near the door confused, what did he forget? He really doesn’t have time so he does the first things that comes to mind. Jungkook leans in and places a kiss on Tae’s cheek.
When Kook realizes what he’s doing he pulls away fast. Seeing Taes red face Kook can’t help, but think he messed up.
‘I meant this, but thanks’ Taehyung opens his hand and Jungkook can see Tae holding his keys.

‘You can’t hide here forever’ Jimin says seeing Jungkook getting comfortable on Hoseok’s bed.
‘And why can’t I?’ Kook asks taking out a sandwich that Jin made.
‘Jungkook’
‘Jimin’
‘Hobi’ both Jimin and Jungkook turn to Hoseok.
‘What? I wanted to be included’
‘How did you manage to kiss his cheek on accident anyway?’ Jin asks coming in to the room with the rest of the sandwiches and drinks.
'Don't know, I was late for class so I wasn't exactly taking my time thinking about what I forgot' Jungkook shrugs his shoulders, eating the sandwich.
'Kook as much as I and Hoseok love you, you can't stay here. This room is designed for two people and I'm sure Tae is gonna be worried' Jimin tries to reason with Kook.
'Honesty you and Tae act like a married couple so what’s the big deal' Jin asks confused.
'We don’t kiss each other. What am I gonna say to Tae? He will hate me' Jungkook whines pouting.
'Please, we're talking about Taehyung here. He will never hate you' Hobi consoles.
'And what If he will?'
'Jungkook just go and confess the worst that could happen is that he rejects you and besides, I'm his best friend so you should listen to me about this kind of stuff' Jimin says annoyed.
'Fine, but If he hates my after this, I'm moving in with you' Kook states taking his sandwich and leaving.

'You did WHAT now?' Jimin’s asks dumbfounded.
‘I may have agreed with Tae to be friend’s who kiss, but only on the cheek’
'I hope by "cheek" you mean butt cheek'
Jimin expected something to go wrong, but he sure didn’t see this coming.

It's a little strange at first, but after a while they get used to It. They first just kiss when coming home from classes in the dorm, but then they start to kiss anywhere they meet up.
When people find out there only friend, there shocked. Most of the time they admit they thought they've been dating for years and the kissing was the confirmation.
They also start to hold hands and whisper sweet nothings when there falling asleep, cuddled up next to each other.

Jungkook is walking to his next class of the day with Jin, Hoseok, Namjoon, Jimin and Yoongi, laughing at a dad joke that Jin said, when he spots Taehyung, but he's not alone. He's with his friend, Bogum.
He's not particularly fond of Bogum. He doesn't hate the guy, but he is a little too clingy for Kooks liking. It’s not like Tae can’t have friends, It’s just that him and Bogum never really got along well. And Jungkook is not the only one who feels this way. Bogum isn’t thrilled to see Jungkook either.
When he sees how close they are and how Bogums hand is on Taes, something comes over him and he's walking towards them without noticing.
‘Hey babe’ Tae turns around seeing Jungkook, he starts smiling, he wasn’t expecting to see him here. His class is on the other side of campus.
‘Hey Kookie-’
Before he can say anything else, he feels Jungkook’s lips on his. They’re soft and taste like peaches, Tae can’t seem to pull away. They only kissed on the cheek so It’s new for them, but It feels right.
When Kook pulls away Tae’s stunned, what just happened?
‘Uhmm-’ Tae stutters not knowing what to say.
‘I’ll see you at the dorm’ Jungkook winks and confidently walks away. Leaving Tae and their other friends shocked, mouths hanging open.

On Tuesday’s Tae always comes back at 3:45, It’s already 3:50 and Jungkook doesn’t know what to do. He’s pacing in the living room, all confidence from before gone. He’s called Namjoon at least 50 times asking the same question over and over. Will Tae hate him? He probably would call Namjoon again, If he didn’t hang up the last 3 times.
Jungkook is about to overthink this even more, but he hears the front door being unlocked.
When Tae appears he doesn’t look angry, he just looks confused, like he what’s answer’s. They make eye contact, they just stand there looking at each other. Jungkook is the first to speak, looking down, breaking their eye contact.
‘Hi’
‘Hey’
‘Hi’
They both quietly laugh looking at the ground. Jungkook goes to Tae and intertwined their hands looking into his eyes, he can’t help, but get lost in them.
‘Why did you kiss me earlier?’
‘I-uh you know I’m not very friendly with Bogum’ Tae knows that’s half the truth so he asks again, hoping this time to get the whole truth.
Kook sighs, he has to tell Tae, It's now or never. He leads them to the couch by their intertwined hands. Jungkook's nervous, but Tae's presence helps him calm down. It's just his best friend, there gonna be fine no matter what happens.
'We always jokingly flirt and mess around. That's how we are, but I haven't told you something, something really important. I've been in love with you for a couple of years now, I never told you because I was scared, you're one of the most important person in my life, I don't want to lose you. I just- It’s hard not falling in love with you. You never say no when someone needs help. You smile that big boxy smile of yours, you blush whenever someone compliments you, like you’re doing right now. I love everything about you, I-’
Taehyung smashes their lips together before Jungkook nervously babbles more. Jungkook is bad with feelings, so him admitting that he loves Tae is a big deal. The kiss is sweet they’re familiar with each others now, It’s more natural. Jungkook can’t believe his best friend is kissing him, If It’s a dream he never wants to wake up.
‘I love you too, I’ve loved you for years’ Tae admits pulling away from Jungkook.
‘I can’t believe we could’ve been together for years, If we would have grew a pair sooner’ Jungkook says shocked. They both laugh, not believing what’s happening right now.
‘Well we have forever now’ Taehyung says kissing Jungkook’s cheek.
‘Also did you really think I liked you just as a friend when I suggested kissing each other?? I’m not THAT oblivious, y’know’
‘Well’ Jungkook jokingly says in a high pitch voice tilting his head, trying to rile up Taehyung.
‘Omg, I take back my confession’ Tae says gasping and lightly hitting Jungkook’s shoulder. Jungkook laughs not letting go when Tae tries to escape from his embrace, playfully pushing Kook away, he thinks they could get used to this.
‘FINALLY’ Jimin yells when they tell everyone they’re together, they laugh and congratulate them.
