Taking me higher than the clouds go
Looking down at the world far down below

Work Text:

You were sitting at the table when Toshinori came over sitting across from you. You smile, already knowing what's about to happen. The blonde pulls out a small book, finding the page he had dog-eared.

"Are you religious?" he smiles, waiting for you to look him in the eye again

You sigh, putting your pen down and staring at him.

"... Because you are the answer to all my prayers!"

You have to bite your bottom lip in order to not laugh but that doesn't stop him. He gets up, sitting next to you, one arm wrapped around your shoulders as he reads another one

"You spend so much time in my mind I should start charging you rent!"

You're shaking from trying not to laugh. You put your face in your hand, hoping it would stop him. It did not, because he leans on you more. You can feel him grinning

"Are you from Starbucks? I like you a latte"

You break, giggling at the last one. He perks up, the small book put down on the table as he starts to leave kisses on your cheek and neck.

"Those were terrible," you laugh "I love you"

"I have another one"

"Oh god... Okay, okay. What is it?"

He smiles, pulling you into his lap. One of his hands comes to rub at the shirt you had stolen. He lifts it up a little, raising an eyebrow.

"You know what material this is made of?"

"Let me guess, boyfriend material?"

"... Husband material, actually."

You're still smiling, but you cock your head to the side, confused. That's when he pulls out a small box from his pants.

"I- I'm not very good at this sort of thing but... marry me?"

Your eyes went wide, jaw slack.

"... Honey?" he asked, worry across his face "Are you oka-"

"Yes."

"Huh?"

"Yes!"

"... Oh! Oh, um. Great!"

"I," he lets out a small laugh, grinning ear to ear. "I didn't think you'd actually say yes."

"Well... I like you a latte too."

"... HA! I get it!"

"You're a dork. Come here."

You kiss him, the small box nearly forgotten next to the small book.
