“Kacchan, can you get the door please?” Izuku asked over her shoulder as she held the baby carrier in her arms.
“Shit, yeah,” Katsuki answered as he rushed forward and opened the door for her before going back to bring something else in from the car. She walked inside, smiling down at Emiko, who had just woken up.
“Welcome home, Emiko,” she cooed softly to the little girl, who was looking around her new surroundings curiously. Izuku smiled as she walked into the nursery. “This is your room,” she said, setting down the carrier and unclipping the baby so she could hold her.
“For now you’ll be sleeping in Mommy and Daddy’s room for a little while. Although, to be honest,” she said, leaning in to whisper into the baby’s ear, “I think Daddy is just worried about leaving you alone.”
“Like I’m the only one,” Katsuki said from the doorway, causing Izuku to jump in surprise as she turned to look at him. “Don’t listen to your mom, Emi, she’s just as worried as I am,” he huffed as he came up to them, hugging her from behind and looking over her shoulder down at their daughter.
“I don’t think that’s true,” she told their daughter, who was looking at her parents with wide red eyes. “No one is as worried as Daddy. Isn’t that right, Emiko?” she asked, waving a finger in her face. Emiko laughed and grabbed at Izuku’s finger, pulling it to her mouth to gnaw on. She looked at her husband with a victorious smirk.
“I think that’s a ‘yes’, Kacchan,” she teased, giggling at the scowl he sent her way.
“Shut up, stupid Deku,” he grumbled as he reached to take Emiko from her arms. “Traitor,” he whispered to the little girl, causing Izuku to smile fondly. To their surprise, Emiko’s face scrunched up and she began to cry, causing Katsuki to shoot her a panicked, borderline frightened look.
“I think she’s hungry,” Izuku assured quickly him as she gently took the baby back and walked over to the rocking chair. She sat down with the crying baby and pulled down her shirt so she could nurse. The crying baby latched onto the offered nipple and began suckling, content now that she was being fed. Katsuki sighed in relief as he walked over to them, sitting down on the ground and resting his head on her thigh.
“That scared the absolute shit outta me,” he admitted softly, his brows furrowing anxiously. He sighed and buried his face into her leg as he hugged her around the waist, a tell tale sign he was overwhelmed.
“She’s going to cry at a lot of things, Kacchan,” she reminded him gently as she reached on hand out to pet his head. “You didn’t do anything wrong.”
“I know,” he sighed, kissing her now much flatter stomach. “I just... I don’t know. I’m just, fuck, I’m terrified, ‘Zuku.”
“I know, baby,” she said, petting his head as she adjusted her hold on the little girl. “But we’ll figure it out together, yeah?”
“Yeah,” he said, shooting her a rare smile. “I love you.” She smiled down at her husband as she gently rocked Emiko, heart overwhelmingly full. Once the baby was full, she got up and walked to their bedroom to set the sleeping girl into the mesh crib they had set up temporarily. The two parents stood over the crib as they watched their daughter sleep, leaning into each other as they watched her.
“She’s beautiful,” she commented softly, her head tucked under his chin as he rubbed her arm soothingly.
“She gets it from you,” Katsuki replied, eliciting a chuckle from her. “. . . Deku?”
“Hmm?”
“I think we’re gonna be okay.”
“We’re gonna be great.”
~~~~~
“Kacchan,” Izuku groaned as their daughter cried in the next room. “Kacchan, babe, Emiko’s crying.”
“Nn,” he grunted beside her.
“It’s your turn,” she said, gently pushing his shoulder a few times with her hand. He groaned before he forced himself out of the bed and thumped over to the nursery. Izuku fell back asleep, but woke up a short time later, surprised to see that Katsuki still wasn’t back in bed, and that she also didn’t hear any crying. She pulled herself out of the bed and shuffled to the nursery to check up on her husband and daughter, surprised at what she saw.
“Kacchan?” she asked as she saw Katsuki bracing himself on the crib, looking down at their daughter intently. “Hun, what are you doing?”
“Watching her sleep,” he said, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. “I’m afraid she’ll stop breathing if I don’t watch her take every single breath.”
“Kacchan,” she sighed in exasperation, a fond, tired smile on her face, “she’ll be fine, come to bed.”
“But how do you know?” he asked, looking at her with tired eyes. She stopped for a moment before walking over to join him.
“You have work tomorrow, I’ll watch over her,” she said as she braced herself on the crib in the same way he had. Katsuki kissed her shoulder and tromped away, clearly exhausted. Izuku looked down at her sleeping baby, feeling at ease whenever she saw the girl take a breath. She realized that, rationally, this was silly, but another, tired part of her, continued to question “what if?” So, she stayed.
~~~~~
“Kacchan,” Izuku said one day while they were eating breakfast.
“What is it, babe?” he asked as he tried feeding Emiko, who babbled in her high chair with a smile on her face. She was three months old now and was eating baby mush, but she was a tricky eater. What she would like one day, she’d refuse to eat the next day, but they worked with it.
“I think we should get a dog,” she told him, earning her a questioning look from her husband.
“Deku, we just had a fucking kid, and you want to get a dog?” he questioned, giving her an ‘are you insane?’ look.
“I read somewhere that kids who grow up with pets are more compassionate and responsible,” she explained as she took a bite of her food. “I think it would be good for her, for all of us, really. Please?” Katsuki gave her a look, and an hour later they were at the nearest adoption center looking for a dog.
“Ah! Kacchan! Look at this one!” she cooed as she looked at a long haired type of dog with a cone on her head.
“It’s pretty hairy,” he commented as he held Emiko protectively against his chest, eyeing the dogs skeptically. “I don’t want it to affect Emiko’s breathing. Next.” Izuku nodded understandingly as she reluctantly stepped away from the dog.
“What about this one?”
“Too big, what if it squashes Emiko?”
“How about this one?”
“Ugh, a rat dog? No thanks.”
“Aw, but Kacchan, he looks just like you!”
“No!”
Izuku pouted dejectedly as they seemed to walk past every kennel, Katsuki taking issue with every dog they came across. She stopped at the last kennel and paused, looking at the dog inside. It was a squatty black dog with a big blocky head and chopped ears, laying in the very back facing the wall.
“Hey,” she cooed as she squatted down, making kissy noises at the dog. “Hey, c’mere.” The dog, a pit bull she realized, raised it’s big head, looking at her with sad blue eyes. Her heart broke at the expression but she smiled when it got up. It hobbled over to her on three legs, having a stub where it’s front right leg should be, and came right up to the fence door. The pit bull had scars all over its body, a stub tail and cropped ears, but seemed so happy to be receiving attention. Her smile widened as its stubby tail began to wag.
“Kacchan?” she called, not taking her eyes off the dog. “I want this one.”
“Hah?” he asked as he walked over. He looked down at the dog with a scrutinizing gaze, seemingly assessing the dog. He knelt down beside his wife and she took the baby from his arms and held her in front of the kennel. “Oi! What are you-“
“They need to bond,” she said as she carefully watched the dog and Emiko check each other out. The dog sniffed at her chubby fingers and face as she grasped the chainlicks, and Izuku smiled when it began to lick her fingers and Emiko began to giggle. She turned to her husband to give him a wide smile and said, “I think we found our dog.”
“Eh, fine,” he huffed, although she knew, internally, he was pleased. About twenty minutes later, they were walking out of the adoption agency with their new dog, King Explosion Murder. He had a big smile on his face and his butt was wiggling none stop, much to Emiko’s delight. On the way home they stopped at a pet shop and got a ton of stuff for King, and came home excited.
King turned out to be a fantastic nanny dog and was immediately watchful of Emiko. It was pretty funny when he wouldn’t let Katsuki get near them while Izuku had the baby on her stomach. Izuku thought it was pretty funny at least, Katsuki, not so much. But, she had spotted him plenty of times with Emiko on his chest and King splayed over his legs and lap, with Katsuki lazily petting the dog’s head. It was adorable. Having King around seemed to lower everyone’s stress levels as well. It was heartwarming to see Kacchan come home, find King, and carry the dog to the couch to cuddle in order to destress. She too would seek out the dog to just lie on the floor with him, just silently spending time together if she felt overwhelmed. King was a good, silent companion, nonjudgmental and comforting.
He was good for all of them.
~~~~~
“Deku? Deku! Deku, get in here! Now! Quick!” Katsuki yelled at her from the bedroom. She dropped the dish she had been washing, accidentally breaking it in the process, as she raced into the bedroom with King hobbling at her heels. She saw Katsuki squatted down with his hands out, hovering on either side of Emiko, who was standing on her own shaky legs.
“Oh, my god!” she squeaked, suddenly overcome with emotions.
“C’mere, princess,” Katsuki encouraged, his gaze trained solely on the baby girl. They both held their breath, even King was strangely still, as Emiko concentrated on her feet. They were all silently cheering her on as the little girl took a wobbly step forward then looking up to her daddy with a smile.
“Yay Emiko!” Izuku cheered, clapping her hands lightly.
“C’mon, do it again,” Katsuki instructed, a wide smile on his face. “Come on.” Emiko took a second step, then a third, and was in the middle of her fourth when she finally toppled over, being easily caught by Katsuki’s waiting hands.
“Oh, my god, Kacchan!” she squealed, rushing over to hug the two. “She took her first steps! She took her first steps!”
“She’s gonna be a handful now,” he commented with a smirk, pressing a kiss to Emiko’s chubby freckled cheek. The baby let out a bubble of laughter which her parents echoed when King came over to insert himself in the hug. Izuku was so happy.
~~~~~
Izuku and Katsuki were lying in bed after a long day of handling Emiko and work respectively, and Izuku was ready for bed. She had just put the baby down, and decided that now would be a perfect time to become dead to the world. Her husband, however, seemed to have a different idea. As she laid in bed, feeling extremely tired, Katsuki’s hands pressed against her side. She hummed in satisfaction, as, due to his Quirk, his large hands were always nice and warm against her. She cocked a brow to herself as his hands began to wander up to her chest and he placed kisses on the back of her neck.
“Kacchan,” she sighed in tired amusement as his hands began to rove over her body. “I’m tired, and King’s right there.”
“Yeah, and I’m fucking horny,” he mumbled into her neck, causing her to chuckle tiredly. “C’mon, babe,” he whined as he rolled his crotch into her ass, “we haven’t fucked properly in ages,” he complained as her face turned pink. “Even since before Emiko was born. I’m fucking dying, dammit.”
“Oh, poor baby,” she teased as she looked over and captured his lips in a kiss. She cupped his head with her hand as the kiss quickly turned hungry. Their hands began to rove over each other’s body, quickly growing desperate due to how long it had been since they had done anything sexual. Katsuki ran his hands over her chest, down her stomach and to her arousal, dipping under the waistband of her lounge pants and underwear. She gasped into the kiss as he massaged her breast, and she threw one of her legs back over both of his.
“Waaaah!” Emiko cried out from her nursery, causing the two parents to groan in unison. “Waaaaaaah!”
“Fucking hell,” Katsuki complained as he let his head drop to her shoulder. “Can’t get a fucking break.”
“Well, we signed up for this,” she sighed as he slipped off the bed and stomped to the nursery. Emiko quieted down pretty quickly, but Izuku could hear her husband saying something in the other room. She got up to investigate and nearly choked on her tongue at what she heard.
“K-Kacchan!” she objected, her face turning pink.
“What? I’m just playin’ with her,” he said as he bounced her in his arms. “You’re Daddy’s little cockblock, ain’t ya?” he asked as the baby babbled. “Yeah, yeah, you’re Daddy’s little cockblock.”
“Don’t call her that!” she shrieked in horror, taking Emiko from his arms and holding her away, giving her husband a scandalized look.
“Why not? It’s true,” he shrugged as he sauntered over and hugged her from behind, gently grasping one of her chubby hands. “You’re Daddy’s cute little cockblock, ain’t ya? Ain’t ch’ya?” he asked in a baby voice, kissing her little hand and then her cheeks.
“You’re impossible,” she sighed as he wrapped his arms around her middle.
“You love me,” he chuckled, nibbling on her ear.
“Okay, calm down, you insatiable horn dog,” she laughed as he nibbled the skin behind her ear. “Haha, stop! Seriously, I’m tired.”
”And I’m still horny,” he mumbled, much to her horror.
“Stop!” she whisper yelled as she gently rocked the baby in her arms. “You are terrible!”
“You love me,” he smirked as he kissed her again. “But seriously, I’ll put her to bed, you go lay back down.”
“No, I’ve got her. You go back to sleep, you’ve got work,” she argued, pressing a hand against his chest. He sighed before pressing a kiss to the top of her head. “I love you, Kacchan.”
”I love you too, Izuku,” he said before leaning down to press a gentle kiss against Emiko’s head. There was silence for a moment before she heard, “King, move, you’re in my spot,” come from their bedroom. She laughed softly as she went back to rocking the baby to sleep.

When Katsuki got a frantic call from Izuku while he was at work, he immediately assumed the worst.
“What!? Is everything alright!?” he asked into the phone, ignoring the looks he got from the other heroes he was on patrol with.
“Is it Emiko? Is everything okay?” Kirishima asked, his worried uncle instincts kicking in.
“Kacchan!” his wife screeched through the phone, sounding as if she was barely containing her excitement. “Emiko said her first word!”
“Wh-what?” he paused then half laughed, suddenly bubbling with excitement. “Really!? W-what did she say!?”
“Go on Emi, tell Daddy what you said!” he heard her say, her voice not as loud as earlier. “Say ‘dada’!”
“D-daba!” Emiko babbled into the phone. “Da... Dada!” A proud smile bloomed on his face at the words.
“Very good Emi!” Izuku praised, kissing noises streaming through the connection. “Such a smart girl! Say ‘dada’ again!”
“Dada!” she repeated, more confident this time.
“Great job, princess!” he cooed through the phone, overcome with happiness and pride. A happy tear dripped down his face as he sniffed, wiping at his eyes.
“Kacchan, are you crying?” his wife asked through the phone.
“Fuck off, stupid Deku,” he replied without any heat, a smile still on his face. “I’ve got to get back to work. I’ll be home in a couple hours, okay? You two keep practicing.”
“Alrighty,” she said, “I love you, Kacchan! Say ‘bye-bye’ Emiko!”
“Ba-bye ebbieo!” the baby copied, causing Izuku to squeal.
“Bye girls, I love you,” he said as he, reluctantly, hung up the phone.
“Woah, Bakubro, are you crying!?” Kirishima asked, eyes wide.
“Emiko said her first words,” he merely responded, wiping at the tears leaking down his face.
“Oh my god, really!?” the red head gasped. “Oh my god! That’s so manly! I’m having such a proud uncle moment right now! What’d she say!?” The two male heroes conversed and gushed about Emiko while the third hero, new to the hero industry, just stood by, confused by what her senpais were talking about.
~~~~~
Izuku was out on a run with Emiko and King one day, it was so nice out, she couldn’t not take advantage of it. It was nice and sunny but not too hot, with a nice light breeze passing through, and just a dash of clouds in the sky. Emiko was clearly enjoying the nice weather, and King was smiling his pit bull smile as he trotted along with Izuku. She was trying to get back into a more vigorous training regiment as she planned on going back to work soon. She was still very strong, mostly due to the nature of her Quirk, but she still had a lot of pregnancy chub on her that she wanted to get rid of. Thankfully, running was a good family activity for the three of them.
Not so thankfully, running meant they were more likely to run into villains. As they ran by the park, a loud explosion went off nearby. Normally, the public assumed that famed hot head Ground Zero was responsible for any explosive activity, but that wasn’t the case this time. People started screaming as a villain in black and green clothes emerged from the smoke, a creepy smile on his face. Izuku felt her heart stop when she and the villain made eye contact and the man’s sadistic smile widened. As much as she wanted to throw herself into the action, she had to protect her daughter. She unstrapped Emiko from the stroller and booked it in the other direction with King struggling to keep up, so she reached down and scooped him up too.
“Come out and face me, Deku!” the villain cried out as a structure crumbled near him. Izuku gritted her teeth as she ducked for cover behind a building, mind racing for what to do. She set King down, pulled out her phone and called her agency, going right into hero mode.
“Hel-“
“This is pro hero Deku, there’s a rampaging villain on XX street,” she said into the phone, looking around the corner. “He’s wearing a green and black costume, and I can’t discern what his Quirk is, but two buildings have already been compromised. We’re in a heavily populated area, you need to send people down here immediately,” she rattled off, shocked when she couldn’t locate the man.
“I’ve lost sight of him. I can’t engage him right now, I-“ she was cut off as she was struck in the back, sending her flying as sharp pain spread across the middle of her upper back. Her grip on King’s leash slipped as she cradled Emiko to her chest, taking the brunt of the impact. Her baby cried against her, frightened and disoriented as Izuku got to her feet, body covered in road rashes.
“Stay back,” she threatened, as she widened her stance, eyes widening when King dashed in front of her, the three legged pooch barking as the villain. “Heroes are on their way. Surrender quietly, or this won’t end well for you.”
“Oh?” he asked, quirking a brow at her. “I don’t really care what happens to me, well, after~”
“After?” she asked, hoping to keep the man distracted until backup could arrive. “After what?”
“After I take what’s precious to you,” he sneered, clenching his fists tightly. “You and your pathetic husband took my brother from me, put him away forever. You two ruined my life, and I’m here to return the favor.” Izuku was wracking her brain, trying to think of what he was talking about. “You don’t remember, do you?”
“Ground Zero and I apprehend villains like you every week,” she declared, gaze unwavering from his. “You’ll have to be more specific.”
“It doesn’t matter,” he said, shaking his head. “All that matters is that you’re here now, and my revenge is so tantalizingly close,” his gaze drifted down to the baby in her arms as he licked his lips creepily. Izuku’s eyes widened in surprise as she realized what he planned on doing.
“If you even lay a finger on my baby I’ll fucking kill you!” she snarled, glaring angrily at the villain as she clutched her baby to her chest. “Do you hear me!?” Emiko was still wailing in her arms and King was still barking his head off.
“Oooh, feisty, are we?” he mocked, seemingly unfazed by her declaration.
“Guess Ground Zero is rubbing off on me,” she growled lowly, the skin of her legs crackling with blue lightning. Backup would be there soon, they had to be. She gasped and leapt back when the villain lunged at her, managing to snag King before he landed. To her surprise, the ground beneath them began to dissolve and bubble, as if covered in acid. So that’s what his Quirk was, it was like Ashido’s. He had to have a limit to how much acid he could produce, she just had to outpace him until either ran out or backup arrived.
“Why don’t you stand there, like a good little hero?” the man taunted, creeping closer. She grabbed King’s leash and pulled him back, as the pit bull didn’t seem intent on moving out of the way, so she yanked him so he was in reach and scooped him up under her arm. She kept inching back as the villain came closer, mind frantically wondering where backup was.
“Why don’t you stay back?” she snapped back, trying to stay calm even as Emiko wailed in her grasp and King barked like crazy. Where was back up!? A commotion came from somewhere behind her and she was distracted for a split second. This was apparently enough to give the villain an opening, because he was suddenly throwing himself at her.
“No!” she cried out as she turned her body shielded Emiko from his reach, but, as she fell to the ground, she was surprised to find the villain wasn’t on top of her, but rather, King was.
“Die, you bastard!” the unmistakable voice of her husband sounded, filling her with immediate relief. “How fucking dare you touch my family!? I’ll fucking kill you!”
“Kacchan, no!” she cried out, clasping her baby tightly and racing over to where he had the villain pinned, King right behind her. “You can’t kill him!”
“Why the fuck not!?” he bellowed, eyes angry and frantic. “He attacked you, Emiko and King! He could have fucking killed you! He needs to pay!”
“I know you’re angry, but this isn’t the right way,” she said, trying to get him to calm down. “He’ll pay for this, but you can’t take out your anger on him like that.” He growled angrily as he turned to the villain, who’s face was bloodied, and gave him another solid punch in the face, causing the man’s body to go limp as he was knocked out. He rushed to his feet and ran over to them, hugging her as tightly as he could without hurting Emiko.
“Are you okay?” he asked, grabbing the side of her face and turning it every which way. “Are Emiko and King okay?”
“I’ll be fine, they’re fine,” she assured him as she tried to calm down the baby. “He came after me, specifically. He wanted to hurt her, to take revenge on us.”
“ What ?” he asked, his voice dangerous and low as a threatening aura emitted from his body. He was pulled from his anger when Emiko cried and reached out to him, wanting to be held by her father. “Oh, c’mere, princess,” he said as he took the baby and began to soothe her, patting her back and cooing gently into her ear.
Not too long after, more heroes arrived on the scene, Katsuki having rushed ahead when they got the call. The villain was taken into custody, Izuku gave her statement and was then rushed to the hospital. Katsuki was given the rest of the day off to watch Emiko while Izuku was being treated. When she finally got home, her husband rushed to the door to greet her, pulling her into a tight hug.
“Hi, Kacchan,” she said, hugging her husband just as tightly.
“You, Emi and King aren’t allowed out of the house anymore,” he grumbled into her hair, causing her to chuckle fondly.
“I don’t think so, Kacchan,” she chuckled, pulling back from the embrace.
“You think I’m kidding?” he asked.
“No, I just wonder how you’re going to stop me,” she teased, trying to lighten the mood. They were all fine, after all, just had a big scare, but no one was seriously hurt.
“Is that a challenge, Midoriya?” he asked lowly, spinning her around and pinning her against the wall.
“I dunno, Bakugou,” she cooed back, draping her arms over his shoulders as they rested their foreheads together. “Is it?”
“You’re such an infuriating little shit, y’know that?” he barked, his brows furrowing as she giggled.
“But you love me,” she smiled, kissing him soundly on the lips.
“Yeah,” he mumbled against her lips before burrowing his face in her neck. “... I was so scared, ‘Zuku,” he whispered as she gently stroked his back. “When I saw him lunging at you all, when Emiko was right there ... fuck, I couldn’t stop shaking. And what if King had gotten in the way? What if that bastard touched one of you? To see one of you get hurt... it terrifies me. I know you can defend yourself, but Emiko and King? Fuck... ‘Zuku, I’ve never been that scared before.”
“I know, Katsuki,” she soothed, placing kisses to his head. “I know. My heart was pounding... I was so scared for them too. But they’re fine. We’re all fine. We protected them.”
“I don’t know if I’d call acid burns and road rash fine, stupid,” he growled, squeezing her tight.
“Well, I’m alive and moving,” she amended, massaging his neck.
“Mmm,” he hummed, kissing behind her ear.
“I wanna check on them,” she said, pulling from the embrace and heading to the nursery. She walked into Emiko’s room and her heart melted at what she saw. Katsuki had laid out a few blankets and pillows on the ground, where King was cuddled up against the baby. He looked over at her with his big blue eyes and his tail began to wag quickly. She smiled and walked over to the blanket and curled up against them, her husband right behind her. They all curled up around the baby, with Izuku resting her head on King’s body as Katsuki cuddled up next to his head. They all stayed silent as they pet King and stroked Emiko’s hair, just happy everyone was alive.
~~~~~
“Kirishima!?” Bakugou yelled once he came into work for the day, phone in hand. “What the fuck is this!?”
“Eep!” the red head shrieked, taking off to hide.
“Get back here, you bastard!” Bakugou shouted, dropping his phone to chase after his best friend. Shinsou, standing nearby, bent down to pick up the phone, looked at the screen, and bursted out laughing, startling everyone in the room.
“Sh-Shinsou?” someone asked as Bakugou whipped around, eyes wide.
“Don’t you fucking dare!” he yelled.
“Bakugou’s got vomit all over is head!” the purple haired hero crowed, cackling madly.
“I have a fucking baby, you bastard dick head!” he roared. “They fucking vomit! Give me my fucking phone!” he demanded as he lunged at Shinsou. “I’ll kill you!”
“I already sent the picture to Midoriya!” Kirishima called in an almost off handed way. “She’ll send it to everyone else!”
“What!?”
~~~~~
“Kacchan!?” Izuku yelled, sounding strangely angry.
“Uh, yeah?” he asked, pausing his stroking of King’s head. Moments later, his angry wife marched into his home office with their daughter tucked under her arm.
“What the— heck!?” she said, voice sounding strangled.
“You’re gonna have to be a little more specific there, babe,” he responded, cocking a brow before taking Emiko from her, then leaning down to pet King, who had followed him off the couch. “Hey there, you little fuck.”
“Fuck!” Emiko shouted, a proud smile on her freckled face, her red eyes wide. Katsuki let out a startled snort before bursting into loud, belly laughs. He was laughing so hard he almost fell to the floor.
“Good job, princess!” he managed between laughs, kissing all over the baby’s face as King tried licking his face all over, too excited to contain himself.
“Kacchan!” Izuku shrieked, adoring the carefree scene in front of her, but still upset over what had happened. “This is no time to laugh! I don’t want her cursing like you!”
“Too fucking late!” he cackled, nuzzling Emiko’s nose with his own.
“Fuck!” she giggled again, wiggling in his grasp. “Fuck, fuck fuck, fuck, fuck!”
“Hell yeah!”
“No!”
“Woof!”
~~~~~
Katsuki was in the bedroom, folding up and putting away clothes, when he heard it.
“May you have auspiciousness and causes of success
May you have the confidence to always do your best
May you take no effort in your being generous
Sharing what you can, nothing more nothing less.”
Huh, Izuku rarely sung, he thought to himself as he made his way to the nursery room. There he saw his wife dancing with their baby, all of her attention focused on their child, while King was, for some reason, in the crib.
“May you know the meaning of the word happiness
May you always lead from the beating in your chest
May you be treated like an esteemed guest
May you get to rest, may you catch your breath,” she cooed, nuzzling Emiko’s nose with hers.
“And may the best of your today’s be the worst of your tomorrows! Woah~” she sang in a lower, more comfortable pitch.
“And may the road less paved be the road that you follow! Woah!”
Katsuki chuckled to himself as he continued to peak in on them, feeling his heart swell as he watched two of the most important people in his world.
“Well here's to the hearts that you're gonna break
Here’s to the lives that you’re gonna change
Here's to the infinite possible ways to love you
I want you to have it
Here's to the good times we're gonna have
You don’t need money you gotta free pass
Here's to the fact that I'll be sad without you
I want you to have it all!
“Oh!” she shouted, dancing around a little more actively. “I want you to have it all
I want you to have it
I want you to have it all~” she finished by kissing the baby’s cheek.
“May you be as fascinating as a slap bracelet
May you keep the chaos and the clutter off your desk
May you have unquestionable health and less stress
Having no possessions through immeasurable wealth
“May you get a gold star on your next test,” she punctuated each word with a boop to the baby’s nose.
“May your educated guesses always be correct
And may you win prizes shining like diamonds
May you really own it each moment to the next!”
Katsuki leaned all his weight against the door frame, a smile stretching wider across his face.
“And may the best of your todays be the worst of your tomorrows! Woah!
And may the road less paved be the road that you follow! Woah!
“Well here's to the hearts that you're gonna break
Here’s to the lives that you’re gonna change
Here's to the infinite possible ways to love you
I want you to have it
Here's to the good times we're gonna have
You don’t need money you gotta free pass
Here's to the fact that I'll be sad without you
I want you to have it all!”
Katsuki quietly snuck up behind his wife as she turned her back to him, wrapping his arms around her waist as she jumped slightly, but she continued to sing.
“Oh, I want you to have it all
All you can imagine
All, no matter what your path is
If you believe it then anything can happen
Go, go, go raise your glasses
Go, go, go you can have it all
I toast you”
All the while she sang, she swayed in his arms as he kissed her on the side of her neck. When she started singing again, he joined her.
“Here's to the hearts that you're gonna break
Here's to the lives that you're gonna change
Here's to the infinite possible ways to love you
I want you to have it
Here's to the good times we're gonna have
You don’t need money, you got a free pass
Here's to the fact that I'll be sad without you
I want you to have it all.”
Izuku ducked her head down in embarrassment, her face turning pink as she did her face against Emiko.
“You’re so fucking cute, you know that?” he asked, nuzzling at her neck.
“Were you standing there the whole time?” she asked quietly.
“Mmhmm,” he said, kissing the back of her neck lovingly. She groaned in embarrassment but didn’t try to push him away. “Also, why is King in the crib?”
“Oh, eheh,” she laughed awkwardly. “He just wanted to get in.”
“Uh-huh...”
~~~~~
“Mama?” Emiko babbled from her spot on the kitchen floor, King curled around her protectively. Katsuki looked down in confusion at his child, as he was very clearly not her mama.
“No princess, Dada,” he corrected as he went back to washing the plates in the sink.
“Ma-ma,” she repeated, standing up and waddling over to him with King right at her heels.
“No, Da-da,” he corrected again, drying his hands off and squatting down to her level. “I’m Dada. Mama’s at work right now.”
“Mama,” she said again, pulling on his pants leg with a pout on her face. “Mama!”
“Mama’s at work, princess,” he told Emiko as he scooped her up in his arms. “She’ll be back later tonight.”
“Mama!” she cried out, face screwing up as if she were about to cry.
“Fuck,” he spat under his breath as he began to bounce the child in his arms. “Don’t tell me you like your mother more than me,” he bemoaned, finding himself incredibly hurt by the thought. After Deku’s maternity leave was up, they were working alternating days, with only one day a week off. Katsuki had worked throughout her maternity leave, although he took as much time off as he could, had Emiko become more attached to Deku in that time? Did Emiko love him less now? Was he scaring her? Oh, god.
“Dada?” Emiko asked, patting his face with her hands. He looked down at her in surprise, even more so when he realized he had shed a few tears.
“Sorry, princess,” he sniffed, wiping away his tears on his sleeve. “Dada’s fine. Promise.”
“Fine?” she repeated, her big red eyes wide with worry.
“Yeah, thanks,” he said, a small smile appearing on his face as he placed a kiss on her head. Her hair was longer now, not as curly as her mothers, but more so than his own, and the soft locks tickled his face. He chuckled against her and pressed another kiss to her cheek, before King got jealous and began to kiss Katsuki’s face. “Relax you fucking little shit.”
”Fuck!” Emiko exclaimed, a smile on her face as she looked up at him. He chuckled fondly as he kissed the top of her head again.
“Good job, princess.”
”Kacchan?” Izuku asked one night as they all laid together in their bedroom. She was tucked into his side as they watched TV, with King on her other side and Emiko asleep on Kacchan’s chest.
“What is it, babe?” he asked, not taking his eyes off of the screen.
”I love you so much,” she whispered, leaning over to kiss his cheek. He turned his head to gently capture her lips in a proper kiss.
“I love you too, stupid Deku,” he smiled against her as she curled up further into him.
”And, and I’m just so glad that we have this life together,” she went on, closing her eyes as he wrapped his arm tighter around her. “When we first started dating, I. . . I never would have imagined that this is how our lives would end up.”
“Do you have any regrets?” he asked gently, rubbing her arm.
“When it comes to you? No, not really,” she said with a shake of her head. “If I went back and changed anything, we might not have ended up like this. I wouldn’t change what we have for anything.”
“Mm, I can think of one thing,” he commented offhandedly as she lifted her head to give him a confused look.
“Eh? What?” she asked curiously as he gave her a feral grin.
“Another baby,” he smirked as she blushed and looked away with a smile.
“Maybe in a couple years,” she placated, patting his chest.
“Well, can we at least start trying?”
“Kacchan!” she reprimanded as she fought off a smile. “You’re terrible.”
”You love me,” he chuckled, pressing a kiss to the top of her head.
“I do, I love you all so much,” she murmured as she gently pressed her lips against his. “And I can’t wait for what the future holds.”
