Giorno got out of his bed, his hair a fluffy mess and lazily put on some slippers. Although many people lived in the headquarters at Passione, almost no one was awake this early in the morning. He looked at his alarm clock that read 3 AM. He stretched and exited his room, making way towards the elevator across the hall. He went down to the floor that had the kitchen and living quarters. Though many stayed here, not everyone in Passione could live here at headquarters, and only his closest confidants stayed on this floor. Polnareff, Mista, Sheila E, and Fugo. This floor, the floor Giorno was heading to was below his room, so the elevator trip didn’t take long at all. Giorno silently shuffled to the kitchen, yawning a few times. The kitchen was gigantic, although it mostly held food for Giorno and his teammates, the kitchen on the second floor contained the food for banquets and guests.
Giorno opened the fridge and moved various things around to look for what he wanted. He found the pudding he had saved the day before, Giorno had quite the sweet tooth and woke up in the middle of the night craving snacks too often. He grabbed a spoon from the drawer and dug into the sweet treat. It tasted delicious and of course was very expensive, though Giorno doubted that was what made it taste good. He savored his pudding and thought about his affairs for tomorrow, what he would wear, what he should have for lunch and- suddenly a chime arose from the fridge, alerting the door had not been closed. Giorno quickly shut it, so he wouldn’t wake his teammates up, but it seemed that was too late as he heard a bedroom door open and close.
“Giorno?” A voice asked from behind him. It was Fugo. “Are you alright?” Fugo asked approaching him. He was always worried for his boss’ well-being at all times, something Giorno appreciated. Giorno turned around to face the boy dressed in his sleep wear, but he didn’t look tired at all.
“Shouldn’t you be sleeping?” Giorno asked, caring about his confidant's rest. “I could ask the same for you.” Fugo retorted back, looking over at what Giorno had on the kitchen counter. “Are you having a snack...?” Fugo asked.
Giorno was a little embarrassed, he is the boss of Passione and here he was eating pudding at 3 am. He nodded, “I am sorry if I woke you. I was just hungry, is all.” He looked at his pudding and scooped up a little bit, but resting the spoon back in the jar.
Fugo looked at it. “I’ve been awake. I can’t seem to get to sleep tonight.”
He leaned his arm against the counter across from where Giorno’s pudding sat. Giorno knew Fugo had trouble sleeping, though he didn’t know if it was due to nightmares or just insomnia. “Mm... I’m sorry about that.” Giorno said. Fugo shrugged and looked down at his socks. Giorno picked the spoon back up, “You can have the rest if you’d like.” Fugo opened his mouth to say something but Giorno cut him off, “Pudding helps me sleep a little bit better, and I don’t know if I can finish all of this. I don’t want it to go to waste.”
Fugo’s face flushed a bit, but he just nodded, going to grab another spoon from the drawer, “Oh, Fugo, I already have a spoon.” Giorno took the spoon out of the jar and held it up to Fugo’s mouth so he could eat it. Fugo’s completely red face looked astonished, but he did what Giorno didn’t need to tell him and took a bite, but as he was going to grab the spoon from Giorno, he got another spoonful of the pudding to feed Fugo. “G-Giogio... you don’t need to feed me...” Giorno just stared at him with a look that let Fugo knew he didn’t mind. In fact, he would prefer doing this.
Soon enough, Fugo finished the pudding and grabbed the jar and spoon from Giorno to wash them, his face was red but he had a grin from ear to ear. He turned back around to look at Giorno in his silk pajamas. “Do you want any water?” Fugo asked quietly, too shy to even comprehend what had just happened right now. Giorno looked up at the ceiling, “I’m okay, thank you.” Fugo nodded, “A-alright... you should go to bed soon. You have that meeting tomorrow at 10 am.” Giorno looked at Fugo smiling sweetly, “What would I do without you, Fugo?” Fugo shook his head silently and tried thinking of how to respond.
“If you can’t sleep, will you stay in my room with me tonight?” Giorno asked breaking the quick silence. He didn’t give a good reason. He didn’t need to. Fugo stared at Giorno and nodded, touching his own face, making sure he was still breathing. He was. This was happening, finally, and he was so thankful. Giorno smiled and walked out of the kitchen, having Fugo follow him into the elevator and then into his room.
Giorno yawned and set his alarm clock to 8:30 am before crawling into bed. Fugo stood at the opposing side of the bed, still flustered at what was happening. Giorno tilted his head a bit, “Is something wrong?”
“Well, it’s just, I mean, where do you want me to sleep?”
“In my bed, of course.”
“A-ah, okay.”
Fugo climbed into Giorno’s bed and felt immediately comfortable. He felt so warm and soft. The pillows and blankets smelt of Giorno’s rose perfume he always wore. Giorno looked over at the boy next to him, “Fugo, thank you for staying with me tonight.” His hand grazed over Fugo’s fingers, gently intertwining with his. Fugo gasped, “Giogio...” Giorno held his hand and got closer to Fugo, putting his head against his chest, taking in Fugo’s scent. “Good night, Fugo.” He breathed half asleep. “Goodnight, Giogio.” He bit his lip for a second, “I love you.” He said so quietly, Giorno thought he imagined it, but even so, he whispered an “I love you, too.” to Fugo. They both fell asleep holding each other in the comfy bed.
Fugo stayed the night with Giorno more often.
