Eijiro had been coming to this club for as long as he can remember. Well since he was 21 anyway. So like 6 years? Whatever time doesn't matter. He's a regular and he has never had any trust issues with them.
But there is always a reason to worry. And he knew full well he should have been paying better attention. But he was already starting to feel drunk and he was ready for the guys to start asking for his number. He didn't expect to be taking a shot one moment and be on the ground the next. Nor did he expect to wake up in a dark alleyway with no wallet keys or phone. But here he was, sick and walking back towards the bar. He had already puked a few times, body rejecting whatever drug was in his system. It made him feel like crap enough as it was that he had fallen for something so stupid but now he somehow had to make it home despite his stomach trying to eject itself from his body.
When he got to the bar again he walked inside and asked if he could use the bartender’s phone, calling Katsuki and asking him to come get him. He explained with a very dejected and frustrated tone that he has to call and cancel his cards and get a new id and wallet. It was times like these he really appreciated that he kept his hero license with him separately. He had already checked for that. Either they didn’t see it or didn’t bother to take it.
Katsuki sounded pissed but Eijiro assured him it wasn’t worth it to be upset or anything. Whoever did it probably needed all that stuff way more than him and nothing super important was even missing. So it really was fine.
Of course, he was upset. But it wasn’t really worth putting in some report or anything. It probably wasn’t even a villain. What would the villains want from him anyway? Sure he’s a hero but he’s nothing special.
When Katsuki got there to pick him up he climbed into the car and smiled nervously. “Really Katsuki it’s fine I promise” he chuckled. He can just order all the new stuff. He really wishes Katsuki would just calm down.
“It’s not fine Ei but I can’t really tell you why yet”
Katsuki didn’t actually look that mad if he was being honest. He looked afraid and that made Eijiro’s chest tighten. “Kat, what’s up?”
“Don’t worry about it just relax. We have to stop somewhere on the way home.” Katsuki looked like he didn’t know where he was driving and that’s really when Eijiro decided he wasn’t comfortable anymore.
Eijiro shook his head. “Kat, why don’t you pull over and let me drive?”
“Fuck no dumbass you’re under the influence of both alcohol and drugs you think I’m gonna let you try to drive us around right now? Just relax it’s fine. I’m not being controlled by villains or some shit I just know full well you aren’t going to be happy about where I have to take you right now okay?”
That didn’t make Eijiro feel any better but he knew Katsuki wouldn’t change his mind now so he just leaned back against the chair and sighed, watching out the window. As the hospital started to get closer Eijiro realized what Katsuki meant.
“You really don’t have to do this Kat, I’m fine. It wasn’t some villain or anything like that someone just slipped something into my drink so they could steal my shit. I’m okay I promise”
“I’m sorry Eijiro but this is not my choice. It’s your agency. They told me that I had to get you tested and make sure it wasn’t a quirk. Or something worse. Please try to cooperate with them”
“Katsuki please just take me home. I am fine. I would know if I was under the influence of a quirk. You know I can’t stand hospitals please just get me out of here”
Katsuki sighed and shook his head, pulling into the parking lot of the hospital. “I don’t want to have to get a nurse out here so please come in with me properly” Eijiro doesn’t look happy about it but he walks alongside Katsuki, digging his nails into his arms.
He hates every moment of the screening and the waiting and the sitting there on a hospital bed like he’s some idiot who was caught in the crossfire of a battle. He was just sitting at a bar and got his shit stolen it really wasn’t that big of a deal.
Oh, but it was quite the big deal turns out. He was under the influence of drugs alcohol and a quirk. But he has no fucking clue what they plan to do about it. They can’t tell what the quirk is so what the fuck do they think this is going to do for him?
“Just let it go Katsuki. The quirk will wear off whatever it is and the drugs are from the drink. I’m fucking fine” he snapped.
Katsuki sighed in response though and nodded. “Okay, Eijiro. Okay. I’m sorry. But you can’t blame me for being worried about you.”
“Shut up”
“Eijiro?”
“Shut up. I’m fucking leaving this place and you are not coming with me”
