Spencer trembles and wonders if maybe Derek won't break his body as surely as he'll break the rest of him. For Spencer, it isn't even a question of if Derek will hurt him. It's simple profiling. Derek has too many trust and commitment issues to pursue a serious relationship, especially with someone he has genuine feelings for. His endless string of casual hookups keeps him emotionally safe.
