Rintaro had a real good friend.
His best friend and the only friend who really understood him. She was his age and she lived with him whenever his parents didn’t look. And she knew a lot of things too. She could go outside when he had to stay in bed and she could fly and run real fast and was super strong and-
He really loved her because he didn’t have to explain what he wanted for her to do something, she always kinda knew. Living with her was comfortable.
And now that he was a bit older (13 years old to be specific) he knew that a girl had to be appreciated. His father sometimes talked about how he always had to make sure his mother was satisfied and how a man has to ‘win the girl’.
He didn’t fully understand what his father meant, but he was a smart boy (or so his mothers says) so he was sure he’d figure out.
“Elise-chan? Let’s go out!”
When first uttering that sentence the girl needed some time to fully register what he just said. But upon realizing what he meant she nodded, a bit stoic.
“Of course, Rintaro.”

His Elise was a demanding girl, just like his mother so that very special day he snuck into his fathers room and took a bit of his money. He knew it was forbidden and if his father would ever find out he would probably be very mad with Rintaro but that was fine as the boy knew that it would make Elise happy if she could wear a pretty dress and eat pretty cakes and pastries.

Elise-chan is pretty. Rinatro noticed that rather quickly. She was a german girl and she had the telltale blond hair and skyblue eyes. Her smiles were rare but just as pretty.
She never was happy with what he did but that was fine because there wasn’t anything he did rather than please her. She was the only one in his life who actually interacted with her, always demanding something new, always wanting to be kept entertained. Of course sometimes there were more important things, like her safety, but in th end she was his priority.
So he was happy when they ate some ice cream together. Sitting on a park bench in that beautiful sunlight (which Elise outshines by a thousand) was somewhat calming.
“Rintaro let’s go on a playground!”
“Rintaro I’m hungry!”
“Rintaro it’s too hot!”
“Rintaro you’re cute.”
Elise made him stutter.

“Boss?”
Hm? Mori Ougai, a man who held great force in his one hand and endless resources in his other, looked up from his reminiscing the old times.
“Chuuya-kun? You’re here to bring me good news?” he asked, rather uninterested, but as the boss of the Port Mafia he didn’t need to sound interested.
The young man was kneeling on the floor, holding his beloved hat close to his chest.
A habit he picked up when first joining the Port Mafia and since he did it most who didn’t know the old rule of the Mafia picked it up as well. Mori couldn’t care less but if it helped him to showcase a certain power and well… dominance he wouldn’t exactly tell them to stop.
“The mission in France was a success, we now won’t have to be worried of the weaponry supplies anymore.”
Ah right, their old deal turned out to be a big scam so they took care of that. But taking care also meant that they had to find a new partner, which had been a true annoyance so far. But trust Chuuya to solve the problems he didn’t have the nerves to solve.
“Good, good, you’re dismissed. You seem a bit taken aback by the Jetlag. Maybe you should take off for the rest of the day.” he replied, not bothering with Chuuya anymore. He barely noticed his executive leaving the room.
“Elise what are you drawing there?”
The girl had her crayons everywhere, drawing a picture. She had started to draw about two years ago and what most didn't know was that Mori kept all of her picture locked away somewhere where even his executives could only dream to ever enter.
“I am drawing how Rintaro gets his ass beaten’ by the Agency!”
Rintaro smiled.
