Summary
Guren Ichinose has been chief of police for a tiny logging town with a population of just under six thousand for almost ten years now. He’d like to say he’s happy with his job.
At least until a little girl goes missing and the search party finds someone else entirely: a mysterious and reticent boy with no ID who refuses to answer how he ended up badly injured in the middle of the woods. Instead, all he has to tell is warnings of a strange, and massive bear.
