Before they started dating, Third hadn’t expected Kai to be the cheesy, cuddly, needy one in a relationship. Sure, Kai knew how to seduce: if he wasn’t he wouldn’t have had as many girlfriends as he did. He knew all the ways to make someone fall for him.
With Third it hadn’t worked like that, though . He hadn’t tried to make him fall in love, but it had happened anyways. And now that they were dating, Kai was acting so cute Third couldn’t believe it was the same old Kai.
Falling in love had changed him, and Third really enjoyed being with someone who showed him how in love he was with him every minute of every day. Third never doubted it, that Kai really saw him with heart eyes all the time, thanks to the way he was acting.
But Third, on the contrary… wasn’t really good at showing emotions. He had never revealed his true feelings to anyone before Kai, and even that had been forced by circumstances. Third was more of the kind who loved in secret until the feelings faded away.
As for showing that love once it was known, well… he’d never had a boyfriend before, so it was quite hard to figure that part out. Especially when Kai was so out there most of the time that it left no space for him to be cute.
But he did want to show Kai his love, though he had no doubts his boyfriend knew how much he loved him. For once, he wanted to be the cheesy, needy and cuddly one.
Which was difficult when Kai was doing just that 24 hours a day.
“Hmmmmm!” he yawned, “let me go!”
“No!” Kai replied, tightening his hold around Third’s stomach, burying his head even closer to his chest while straddling his legs.
“We’re gonna be late for work,” Third sighed, letting himself get kissed on the neck. He smiled. It tickled.
“It’s Sunday, silly,” Kai mocked, pushing himself up so he could look into Third’s eyes. “Are you trying to avoid having sex with me?” he pouted.
Third rolled his eyes. “Don’t say stupid things,” he replied, launching himself in Kai’s direction.
He ended up hugging him, before reversing their positions so Kai’s back would be on the bed and Third could be laying on him.
“That’s more comfortable,” he grinned as he hugged Kai tighter.
Kai’s legs crossed behind Third’s lower back, which was really hot.
“I really love when you’re cute with me like that,” Kai declared, a hand caressing his hair softly.
“Well, I have to be the cold boyfriend since you’re always the one showing a lot of affections,” he pouted.
Kai laughed. “Don’t worry, I love the cold you too. I love all the you’s,” he smirked, kissing Third’s shoulder.
Third stared at him, feeling really moved. Damn it Kai, why are you such a cutie.
“You know I love you, right? All the you’s as well,” he assured, leaving a small peck on Kai’s lips.
His boyfriend nodded with his usual smug smile. “I know, don’t worry. You know, the more you try to be cold and roll your eyes at my ridiculousness, the more I can feel you fall for me.”
Third chuckled. “Well, I’m glad to know that. I was worried you’d get scared because you’re the needy boyfriend and I’m cold with you sometimes.”
Kai’s brows furrowed. “First of all, I never doubt our love. I love that you act cold towards me in public and then in private you moan my name all night long,” he wiggled his eyebrows while laughing as Third hit him the chest. “A nd second of all, I’m not needy, I’m cuddly. You show your affection by rolling your eyes and I show mine by touching you and flirting with you every five seconds.”
Third chuckled. “That’s a good summary of our relationship,” he uttered, caressing Kai’s thighs around him.
“No but really, though,” Kai continued. “You may not hug me, or kiss me, or flirt with me all the time… but the way you look at me, the way you talk to me, the way you moan my name – ouch!” he shouted as Third hit him in the chest once more. “I’m sorry,” he laughed, before looking back into Third’s eyes. “I was just saying that I don’t need big declarations from you. Every smile you give me is enough for me to realize how much and how long you’ve loved me.”
Third really felt like crying, like that day when he had accepted to be Kai’s boyfriend in front of a whole theater.
He simply kissed Kai’s lips before declaring: “Tonight I wanna take you on a date, though .”
“Oooh, sounds good!” Kai exclaimed excitedly.
Third smiled. “I wanna show you that I’m capable of warmth once in a while. I want you to feel taken care of.”
Kai’s hands caressed Third’s cheeks as he grinned. “You always take care of me. Just not in the same way as I do.”
Their lips joined, tongues tangling for a while.
“Let me take care of you in the same way as you today, though,” Third whispered as his hands roamed on Kai’s body.
“Sure, you can be the needy one today,” Kai grinned, kissing him again.
“So you admit you’re needy!” Third exclaimed, victorious.
Kai blushed and looked away for a moment, before grabbing Third’s face again.
“Shut up and kiss me.”
