Aizawa clenched his fists at the statement. He felt different things all at once. Anger, frustration, and sadness. He wants to scream and hurt the people who made this kid this way. Who made the kid feel useless. But that would be illogical for him to do as a hero.
The way Midoriya didn't stutter at his statement on being Quirkless hurt him. He felt the tears pricking at the corner of his dry eyes even though there isn't any. The heavy feeling in his heart won't go away. The deafening silence in the room didn't help it.
He failed to save this child.
Quirkless or not, the fact still runs that he failed to save him. He was right there. In front of him, and yet he still failed.
Because after all, Midoriya Izuku is the one in the hospital bed beside him right now. And nobody knows if he will wake up or not.
