“Y/N!” Comes the whisper of your name. “Over here!”
You turn your head to find Kirishima perched behind a large bush, waving you over. You distantly hear Bakugou calling the last number and rush to Kirishima’s side, trying to hold in your giggles. The snow crunches under your feet as you adjust yourself - a hider’s kryptonite - but the world is quiet, if just for a moment.
There’s no wind to blow the snow around, so it falls peacefully, quietly, out of nowhere from the dark clouds. It’s well past dark, now, and the group should really be getting back to the dorms, but hey, what’s one game of hide and seek before you go?
“You cold?” Kirishima asks, and you let out a quiet breath.
“Freezing. I kinda forgot what winter feels like.”
He smiles. “I get what you mean. C’mere, we’ll huddle. I’m like a human heater.”
And he is - Kirishima’s hot, and you try to curl into him more as he wraps an arm around your shoulders. Right as you two move, though, so does Bakugou, and he’s only a few feet away. Kirishima pulls you closer to him silently and it’s strange because you feel your cheeks rushing with blood. He looks down at you and puts a finger over his lips with a wink, and you can’t catch your breath. You feel lucky it’s dark.
You distantly hear Bakugou’s grumbles as he passes by, but either he’s not looking or he doesn’t care, because he walks right past you and Kirishima. You don’t know what to do, pressed against him like this, because this has never happened before and your heart has never beat this loud before, at the very least not in a long while, and can you move? Should you?
When Kirishima relaxes, you instinctively look up at him, and he looks down at you. The world is so quiet, but you can hear your heartbeat in your ears, feel it pumping blood faster. Your eyes drift down to Kirishima’s lips, just for a second, but that seems to be enough for him to speak. His voice is uncharacteristically quiet.
“I really want to kiss you right now,” he says, and you blink. Your knees feel weak, but it doesn’t stop you from responding.
“Do it then,” you reply softly.
The way he moves is gentle, and you’re quick to lean into his touch. His hand cups your face and it’s cold so you jump, but his lips warm you right up when they meet yours. It’s a soft kiss, new, but it’s so easy to succumb to the purity of it and you do. In your mind you ponder the repercussions of doing something like this with someone like Kirishima, but your heart wills you to stop thinking of it and simply give into the moment and its emotions.
He’s a good kisser, Kirishima, and although you only share a few kisses, you want more. Your lips tingle with the lack of warmth when he pulls away, and you wonder how long that kiss was. It felt like forever, your brain recognizes, and then you start to wonder if other kisses with him feel like forever.
You keep your eyes closed for a moment before you open them, giving yourself a second to really register what just happened. Kirishima hasn’t distanced himself far from you, his forehead still almost touching yours. You open your mouth to speak, watching your breath rise in the cold.
“Again,” you whisper, and see Kirishima smile before he leans forward one more time.
