A few days ago, a wonderful human being left me a comment saying how much they screamed every time they came here and found a new note on the status of this fic. So, wonderful human, this one's for you. Thank you so, so much for reminding me people are still in love with this story. :) This fic remains on a temporary hiatus. It has been one hell of a year (moved three times, car died, bought a new car, got in a car accident six weeks later, cracked my sternum, totaled the new car, had to buy another new car, had an unrelated surgery I'm still recovering from), and I'm further behind on my writing than I planned to be. But hey, still alive! Still in love with this story, and still planning to finish it. I WILL finish this. It's just going to take a little more time than I'd hoped.Konoha has fallen to the Akatsuki army, led by the brutal Hatake Kakashi. Iruka only hopes to not be noticed and to keep Naruto safe. When he is selected as the new Hokage's "Motivator," these goals become harder than he ever imagined possible.
