Twisting the knob to turn the water off, Ochako jumped out of the shower. She swiftly got dressed and dried her hair, not wanting to waste a minute more inside of the bathroom. It was rare for Izuku and Ochako to get a day off together, their busy work-schedules being the cause of that. She wanted to spend as much time alone with him as she could today, and she could only hope neither one of them would be called in for an emergency.
She stepped out of the room, making her way to the living room where Izuku was currently stationed. Peering around the corner, she silently giggled at the site before her. Sat hunched on a couch was a very concentrated Izuku, his brows furrowed while his thumb and index finger pinched his chin. He always looked so cute whenever he was concentrated like that.
“You look very focused.” Ochako said amusedly. Her hands were planted on her hips.
Izuku jumped, not expecting to hear her voice again so soon. How long had she even been in the shower? When had it even gone off? He lost track of both time and everything else surrounding him, his attention entirely focused on the computer screen in front of him.
“Woah, you okay?” Ochako asked, voiced with concern.
“Y-Yeah, sorry. I didn’t hear you get out of the shower.”
She walked just behind the couch, leaning over and looping her arms around his neck. She smiled, kissing his cheek, “Mhm. Not surprising, though, you did look quite focused there.”
He chuckled at that, agreeing, then felt his heart sky rocket and his face heat up once it clicked /why/ he was so focused. But before he could sneakily click out of the tab, or divert her attention on something else, it was too late.
“What’s that?” She asked.
“H-Huh? What’s what?” She could see him slowly moving the laptop away from her eyes.
“Izuku.” Ochako tilted her head, narrowing her eyes at him.
He laughed nervously, “R-Really Ochako. It’s... nothing?” he said the last part like it was a question.
“Izuku. If there’s one thing you’re terrible at, it’s lying.” she told bluntly.
He sighed. Turning the laptop screen toward her direction, Izuku prepared for the embarrassment that was about to come.
Her eyes scanned the screen, darting back and forth to the items listed before her on the website. Her eyes lit up, cheeks going rosy as her mouth went agape. “Izuku! No way! You were... You were buying my merch?!” She began to get teary-eyed.
He scratched his pink freckled cheek and huffed, “Yeah...”
“That’s so freaking cute!” she cooed, rushing to sit next to him. She wrapped her arms around his waist, and nuzzled her face into his neck. He blushed while returning the affection, wrapping an arm around her shoulder and pulling her close.
She looked up at him, eyes sparkly with the biggest smile plastered on her face. “Did you order anything yet?”
He took a moment to appreciate her features, admiring the adorable look on her face, silently thanking whatever higher-power was above for blessing him with this incredible woman. “Y-Yeah... I did.”
“Can I see please?
He could never say no to her, obviously. “Yeah.” He made a few clicks, before his mouse hovered above the “My Orders” button. He hesitated before clicking on it. He had ordered three things. A hoodie that was designed to resemble her hero costume, an Uravity-themed hat, and a black turtleneck sweater, which had adorable chibi Uravity art imbedded in the middle of it.
“Oh my goodness, Izuku! You’re gonna look so cute in those!” she said, earning her a flustered Izuku. She gave him a peck on the lips. “Y’know, you don’t have to be embarrassed.”
“Mmm.” he murmured, nudging his forehead against hers. “And why’s that?”
“Well... I was playing on ordering Deku merch too, heh.. Great minds think alike right?” she tried to say confidently, but truth is she, too, blushed admitting that.
Dozens of mental images of Ochako wearing Deku merch popped up in his head. He only got redder in the face. She just wouldn’t give him a break.
“I feel like my awkward highschool self all over again.” he confessed with a chuckle.
She giggled at that, booping him on the nose. “You’re not the only one.”
He cupped her cheek gently, and pressed his lips softly on hers. The kiss lingered on for a moment more before he pulled away, “I love you, Ochako.”
She smiled at him, “I love you too Izuku.” They stared at eachother for a minute, their gazes full of admiration and love.
Her arms retreated from around his waist, and she clasped her hands together. “Now it’s my turn to order some merch!”
