"does it show?", iguro asked quietly.
"huh? does what show?", mitsuri cocked her head in confusion.
"that i'm nervous?", iguro urged.
mitsuri shook her head: "no, you honestly look like you always do. kinda apathetic, kinda like you're judging everyone."
iguro shot her an incredulous look before adjusting the bandages around his mouth.
"come on iguro, i know you've got this!", mitsuri pumped her fists in the air as some kind of support cheering.
iguro snorted but thanked her nonetheless and left the room, sliding the shoji doors shut.
he quickly made his way over to the headquarters, suspecting he might find who he was looking for there.
and find him he did.
iguro was naturally a very swift and quiet person.
things people would usually associate with his status as the snake pillar but it was something he had to learn to survive.
he slipped into the seemingly empty garden in front of the main building but quickly noticed approaching danger and drew his blade.
he hurled around only to have his sword collide with another.
when he noticed who it was he sheathed his sword as quick as he drew it.
"what is this about sanemi.", he questioned.
"nothing nothing... i just sensed something or rather someone slithering around the premises.", the wind pillar poked his shoulder.
iguro sighed: "precautions huh? you should know by now i can't help being this quiet."
"indeed. precautions, you can never know," sanemi paused, "but that doesn't matter. what are you doing here?"
"can't a man just take a walk?", iguro retorted.
"of course, it's just that you're rarely at the headquarters."
"well, yes you're right. i'm actually here because i was looking for you.", iguro began, he could feel his heart beating faster in his chest.
sanemi just raised a brow, signaling him to go on.
"you see, i uh. well, i just-", the snake pillar stuttered, trying to find the right words.
"ah fuck it, this shy shit isn't my thing.", he snarled, shaking his head as if to clear his thoughts.
"listen up, i like you. a lot. and i wanna go on a date with you. so, yes or no?"
sanemi smirked: "wow i wasn't aware you were capable of feeling like that. or feeling in general."
"stop fucking playing and give it to me straight.", iguro huffed, ignoring the jab at him.
"why yes dear snake pillar, i would like to go on a date with you. in fact, i like you too.", the wind pillar smiled. which was rare, so iguro guessed he meant it.
"oh thank fuck."
iguro loosened his fists which he didn't realise he had clenched and looked to the side, a light blush adorning his cheeks.
and as soon as iguro got back to mitsuri's place he got tackled into the wall by an excited love pillar prancing around the room.
