A Better Heroine/Hero (a.k.a. the Eventual Decline of Kirishima’s Well-Being, and the Rapid Increase in Bakugou’s Blood Pressure)

Summary:

Looking back on it now, Kirishima and Bakugou were really good friends in Junior High. They did everything together. They studied, sat together at lunch, and hung out after school. Sure, Bakugou was mean to people, but Kirishima held him back from actually hurting anyone.

“Bakugou, cut it out.” Kirishima could cry, and Bakugou complied. Until the one day that Kirishima regretted. The one day in Junior High he knew he really fucked up.

(Or: a self indulgent fic about fresh starts)

Notes:

Dang, this took me a week to write. I’m so thankful for everyone who put up with me while writing this… Especially my beta reader, and friend, ellarree! Thank you so much for the feedback you gave me. And I also want to thank everyone for taking the time to read this, even if only getting through the authors note. I hope you enjoy!

(Spoilers!)
TW: Gender Dysphoria, Bullying, Kidnapping, Nightmares, brief mention of Shigaraki’s quirk.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

“Hey bro!” Kirishima smiled at Bakugou as they walked to school together. “How’s it going?”

Bakugou knew Kirishima already knew the answer to this, but replied anyways with a shrug, “Shitty Deku kept me up, since he wasn’t getting something so fucking simple.”

Bakugou and Midoriya were childhood friends. They went to different schools now, but they kept in touch through their parents, much to Bakugou’s distaste. Bakugou was “forced to tutor Deku or Mitsuki will have my head”... Bakugou’s words, not his.

“Oh, would you look at that? It’s Bakugou and Kirishima, the local lovebirds.” Someone teased when they got to school.

“I could’ve sworn I saw her try to hold his hand!” One of his cronies laughed.

Kirishima cringed. He really should come out… Or well, he could wait until high school to escape the bullies, which seemed harder, but also better. Should he even tell Bakugou that he’s a boy?

“Shut the fuck up losers, if I was gonna hold her hand, I would never do it in front of you.”

Someday he will tell him. Just not today.

“Aw, Bakugou’s shy? How sweet~”

Kirishima laughed, “Your insults don’t even make sense! Bakugou is the least shy person I know!”

“Exactly. And if you extras think that if some guy is friends with a girl, that means they have to fuck, then you’ve really got nothing up there.” Bakugou flicked a mini explosion into the head of one of the bullies.

If Bakugou knew that he liked him, he’d be the laughing stock of the school. Bakugou doesn’t do dating. Bakugou doesn’t even really do friends . Kirishima was lucky enough to not be hated by him.

“Oh, what’s this?” One of the bullies grabbed Kirishima’s backpack and found the note he tried to hide in one of the pockets.

Maybe he’d be the laughing stock of the school sooner than he thought. He had written a note to Bakugou. Specifically a love poem . Rest In Peace Ai Kirishima, 2003-2018.

“Cut that out!” He tried to grab his bag back, but the bullies had already grabbed the note.

“Yeah fuckers, that better be in Kirishima’s hands right now , before I have the chance to explode you!”

“Oh? What’s this? Could this be a… love note ? And it’s even addressed to our own Lord Explosion Murder.” The bully smiled wickedly.

Bakugou froze. “Dear Katsuki Bakugou, Your palms are ashy from the quirk you bear, your crimson eyes suit your beautiful hair. I know you’re gonna be hero number one, but put that aside and have some fun. C’mon Bakugou, please hear me through, I wanna be the one for you.”

“Oh wow! It isn’t even good!” His cronies laughed.

Kirishima froze for a minute, looking between Bakugou and the bully. He finally managed to get his body to move, so he ran away and skipped school that day. He avoided talking to Bakugou for the rest of the year, and eventually Bakugou stopped trying to talk to him. Kirishima thought this was for the best, but inwardly felt really crappy about it. He pushed his doubts behind, and tried to enjoy the rest of the year to the best of his ability.

Over the break, he started his transition by coming out to his moms, who were very supportive. They took him to a quirk user that could help train his voice to be lower, and he managed to get down to a higher male voice by the end of the break. He was very thankful for this, since he didn’t think he could enter UA with the voice he had before. Kirishima styled his hair into spikes that morning, and caught the train to school.

---

On the train, Kirishima saw Bakugou. He tried to avert his eyes, but it was too late. Bakugou stared at him for at least a minute before speaking.

“Do I know you?”

Kirishima laughed, with an edge of nervousness. “Maybe? It’s hard to tell with all the new people I’m meeting.”

“You going to UA?”

“Yeah, you?”

“Should I really tell a stranger that?” Bakugou smirked.

“Well, you look to be about the same age as me, and you have a backpack, and school is starting soon… But I guess you’re right, it’s not the best thing to tell someone, is it?”

“Probably not.” Bakugou huffed.

Kirishima knew, from all the years of knowing Bakugou, that he wanted to go to UA… But he couldn’t say that, could he? So he waited for his stop, got off, and went towards the school gates, Bakugou walking slightly in front of him. Kirishima smirked. He was sure he finally had the upper hand, with him knowing Bakugou, but Bakugou not knowing him. He’d have to find excuses as to why he looked like, well, Ai Kirishima. He just couldn’t slip up.

---

“Welcome to class 1-A, I’ll be your teacher. You can refer to me as Aizawa. Now for introductions… Aoyama?”

Aoyama introduced themself to the class, then a few other people went up and introduced themselves, and then it was Bakugou’s turn. Kirishima knew shit was about to hit the fan when he saw him smirk.

“Hey nerds, I’m Bakugou, and if you decide to fuck with me, then I’ll make sure to fuck with you too.”

“Bakugou! I don’t want to hear another foul word out of you-” Aizawa said before Kirishima started laughing.

“Dude!” Kirishima laughed harder when Bakugou’s eyes turned to him (and everyone else’s eyes, but they didn’t matter at that moment). “Phrasing!”

Bakugou blushed at the realization, but covered it up with him yelling, “I didn’t ask for your opinion shitty hair!”

“Owch…” Kirishima wiped away a fake tear and sniffled. “I didn’t ask for yours either!”

“I never gave you mine.”

“You didn’t have to. It was written all over your face!” Kirishima smirked.

“That’s enough out of you two!” Aizawa roared. “Iida, please come up and introduce yourself.”

Iida introduced himself, and so did everyone else, until it was Kirishima’s turn.

“Kirishima, please come up.” Bakugou’s eyes looked up from staring at Midoriya angrily, to look at him.

“Hello! Please refer to me as Eijirou. One fun fact about me is that if I were to go into another field, it might be geology!” He smiled and sat back down. He chose the name a long time ago, so he was excited to finally use it.

When Midoriya introduced himself, Bakugou yelled at him of course, but it lacked the Bakugou Burn™ to it. Midoriya still seemed shaken when he sat down, and Kirishima felt kinda bad for him.

“Bro, not nice.” Eijirou whispered to Bakugou. “Whatever you have between you two should stay outside of class.”

“Same goes for you shitty hair.” He grumbled back.

Eijirou froze, realizing his hypocrisy, before recovering, “I barely knew you before class! You seem like you have a lifetime of hatred towards Midoriya.”

“Because I do .” Bakugou glared, before listening to Aizawa again.

Aizawa was talking about hero work, and then said that they’re going to have to test their quirks in a few games he had prepared. Oh fuck, Eijirou had his binder on. He’d have to talk to Aizawa about it, oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fuck- He needed to calm down before anyone noticed, so he took a few deep breaths and after everyone else left, he asked to talk to him privately.

“Of course Eijirou, what’s on your mind?”

“Did my parents say anything about my uh… needs ..?” That was a really bad way of phrasing it, but Aizawa took mercy on him.

“Yes, they have informed me of your situation. If you would like, I could get a support student to make something to help accommodate you?”

“Yes please, thank you so much Aizawa sensei.” He bowed.

“If you need anything else, I’m always here to help.” Aizawa smiled a bit. “Would you like to sit this activity out while something is being made for you?”

“Yes, thank you again.”

---

Aizawa had obviously realized that Eijirou was able to provide accurate feedback, as shown with his interaction with Bakugou, and appointed him as co-teacher for the activity. This lead to a lot of confused faces, and one angry Bakugou.

Bakugou stomped over to Eijirou. “I’m gonna show you why I’m going to be the number one hero, and why whatever shitty quirk you have is bad enough that you can’t compete.”

“You already are number one Bakugou.” Eijirou’s eyes filled with love, but then quickly turned cold again, “You’ve already shown us that at introductions, but can your quirk stand the test?”

“Of course shitty hair, but yours can’t, you’ve shown us that much.” Bakugou smirked.

“I have a name, and I didn’t sit this one out because of my quirk.” Eijirou sighed.

“Why then?”

“That’s for me to know, and for you to never find out.” Eijirou smiled and walked back over to Aizawa.

“Alright class,” Aizawa began with a sigh, “let’s get to the activity.”

Aizawa had set up a relay course suited to their quirk descriptions that he’d received from the entrance exam staff. He had made two teams and sent them to their positions while explaining what they’d do when they got there.

“Ready? Go!”

Sero and Ojirou had a climbing course they had to go through. Sero passed his baton to Midoriya and Ojirou’s to Iida shortly after. Both tied running to Hagakure, Uraraka, Jirou, and Shouji. Jirou and Shouji had to find the two others, blindfolded, before time ran out. It turned out that the stealth team could be very quiet, so they got away pretty quickly before anyone noticed.

Ashido got a head start on the long jump, but Asui was flying through the air shortly afterwards, both running to meet Aoyama and Kaminari. The two blondes were tasked to hit all the moving targets that resembled villains in the surrounding area. Kaminari succeeded quickly, but seemed kinda slow to get the baton to the next team.

Tokoyami and Koda got the baton first and had to travel through a dark tunnel. When Dark Shadow started acting up, Koda got paralized in fear. This lead to Sato and Yaoyorozu getting through the tunnel faster and passing the baton to Bakugou.

“See you later half and half!” Bakugou blasted into the sky, smirking.

When Todoroki got his baton, he took off using his ice. Bakugou barely passed the finish line before Todoroki could.

“Hah! I told you I was number one.” Bakugou said proudly.

“The number one person that needs to hit the showers.” Sero said to Ashido, who laughed.

“What the fuck did you just say?”

Sero just laughed at this. “You heard me.”

“You kinda smell like burnt sugar!” Ashido leant over a bit to take a whiff.

“Nasty fucker, get away!”

“Alright, everyone hit the showers while Eijirou and I discuss.”

---

Once everyone got their critique, Aizawa voiced Eijirou’s worries in private. “There’s a private shower if you’d like to go to that, or you could-”

“-I’d like that.” Eijirou smiled stiffly.

“Alright then. It’s not too far away from the other showers, I’ll show you some other time, alright?” Eijirou nodded at this and grinned.

---

Eijirou got his quirk resistant sports bra the day after. Aizawa knew he could have as much fun as he wanted, now that everyone could use their quirks. He set up a sparring arena to pit everyone against each other. Winner stays in the arena, loser goes.

The first match was Bakugou vs Eijirou. Bakugou made the first move, and Eijirou hardened his body for the impact. Bakugou landed his fist into his rock hard skin and yelled.

“What the fuck is this?”

Eijirou took the opening to sharpen his hand and hold it up against Bakugou’s neck. He forgot to restrain Bakugou’s hands, so Bakugou managed to explode half his shirt in one punch. Eijirou tripped Bakugou and pinned him to the ground. He was a rock atop a bomb, but a rock nonetheless. Bakugou scrambled to get him off, but he made sure not to budge, even with Bakugou’s explosions attacking his back. With Aizawa counting to three, Bakugou knew it was over. And Eijirou needed a new shirt.

“I’ll be right back Aizawa sensei!” Eijirou rushed to get a new shirt out of his backpack.

“What the fuck, how’d he know to do that?” Bakugou thought for a moment. “What- Ai Kirishima? Oh my god they’re siblings, aren’t they? She told him all my secrets- FUCKING HELL, GET BACK HERE SHITTY HAIR!”

Bakugou fired an explosion at the ground and flew off after him.

“I didn’t know Bakugou could mutter like Modoriya…” Asui pointed out.

“I didn’t know he could either.” Midoriya laughed. “Although, I am a bit worried for him… it’s not my place to tell, but something bad happened between one of the Kirishimas and Kacchan.”

Asui put a finger to her chin, “I see.”

What Midoriya didn’t say out loud, was that he didn’t know Ai had a brother, or any siblings for that matter. It could’ve just been chance that two Kirishimas knew Bakugou so well… But even that seemed unlikely. Either way, it wasn’t his business to butt into.

---

“KIRISHIMA, WHERE ARE YOU? WE NEED TO TALK.”

Eijirou came out of a room with a new shirt and started rubbing circles into Bakugou’s back. “Calm down bro, deep breaths for me alright?”

Bakugou visibly calmed down at this, but threw his hands off him with a growl, “Stop acting like I’m lesser to you!”

“I’m not! Dude, I was just trying to help you calm down.”

“Well,” Bakugou laughed hysterically, “How do you know the exact way to calm me down? How do you know how to read my emotions to a tee? Do you know how long I’ve been practicing my battling strategy, just to be knocked down between a rock and a hard place, literally and metaphorically? I didn’t want to confront you about this. I really didn’t, but you left me no choice. So Eijirou, what is your relation to Ai Kirishima?”

Eijirou, with false confidence, smiled, “Oh her? She’s a sibling of mine.”

“She never had any siblings at home? I went over to her house to study multiple times.” Bakugou growled.

“Oh, yeah, because uh, I’m adopted!”

“I call bullshit. There’s no way for you two to not be related. You both have black hair- don’t look at me like that, I can see your roots. You both have crimson eyes, and pointy ass teeth. You could’ve said cousin, and I probably would’ve doubted you less. Goddamnit Eijirou, explain .” Bakugou’s voice was borderline pleading at this point.

“Fine. Now you’ve left me between a rock and a hard place.” Eijirou laughed with little emotion. “I’ve severed all ties I could with her, and I don’t want to be associated with her. Got it?”

Bakugou growled, “No, I don’t ‘got it’! It doesn’t make any sense!”

“That’s your problem, not mine. Just, please Bakugou. Promise me you won’t talk about… her . Alright?”

“Fine. As long as you don’t overstep my boundaries. I know she told you shit about me.”

Eijirou hummed. “I will try my best to not overstep your boundaries. If I am, for whatever reason, feel free to call me out on it.”

“Don’t worry, I will.”

And with that, Bakugou stormed off, probably going back to Aizawa. Eijirou did as well, after composing himself. He repeated a mantra of “everything is going to be fine” in his head, while he walked back to the arena.

“Alright Eijirou. You’re up against Midoriya.” Aizawa said, and Eijirou nodded. “Ready? Go!”

Eijirou braced for an attack with his quirk, but it didn’t come. Midoriya flew over his head and kicked his back, making him fly to the floor. He got back up, and just as Midoriya was about kick him again, he dodged.

Midoriya was muttering as he fought, only audible to those with hearing quirks, “He hides his chest, I can use this to my advantage by…”

He went to kick again, and Eijirou dodged, just like Midoriya predicted. He grabbed Eijirou’s arm and flipped him over. When Eijirou didn’t move, Aizawa called out that Midoryia was winner of that round.

Eijirou chuckled, “Nice job man! Can you tell me what I can improve on?”

“Oh sure!” Midoriya smiled. “Your legs are kinda stiff, not sure if that’s because of your quirk or your battle strategy though… You should try to dodge less, and tank the hits I send to you so you can retaliate quicker.”

“Gotcha, thanks man!” Eijirou smiled and went to sit down on the bench next to Bakugou.

“Hey bro-”

Bakugou cut him off, “Don’t ‘hey bro’ me.”

“Fine then.” Eijirou looked at him sadly, then walked over to Mina, Sero, and Kaminari. “Can I sit here?”

“Yeah dude, of course!” Kaminari said.

“The way you took down Bakugou was amazing!” Mina squealed.

“Can you show us any of your tricks?” Sero said.

“Woah, woah, okay.” Eijirou sat down on the bench next to them. “I sorta promised Bakugou that I would try to forget the things I shouldn’t know about him.”

“Wait, you knew him before?” Kaminari questioned. “Dude, he’s a monster!”

“Sort of, and no, he’s not! He just has some anger issues.” Eijirou said. “Whoops, I’m oversharing again, aren’t I?”

Mina shrugged, “Eh, we really don’t care if Bakugou finds out.”

“But I do…” Eijirou mumbled.

“Wait, how do you even know him so well? Are you best friends or something?” Kaminari asked.

“Or maybe boyfriends?” Mina chimed in.

“Or friends with benefits?” Sero wiggled his eyebrows.

“Don’t put those thoughts in my mind...” Ejirou hid his blushing face in his hands.

“But seriously dude,” Kaminari pushed Sero’s face away from Eijirou. “If you are gay or whatever, that’s cool with us!”

“Oh, well… I guess I never put too much thought into it? I mean…” Eijirou thought for a moment, then decided ‘fuck it’, “I like Bakugou sure, he doesn’t like me back though.”

“How can you be so sure? Have you told him?” Mina asked.

“Well, no… but-”

“Then he might like you back!”

“It’s much more complicated than that.” Eijirou groaned, “Sorry for unloading my shit onto you…”

“Well, we always like to help a bro out in desperate times.” Sero said.

“And desperate times call for desperate measures!” Mina smirked.

“You better run man, they’re gonna set you and Bakugou up somehow… and they’ll rope me into it as well.” Kaminari sighed.

“Wait what? Nonono, you can’t do that-” Eijirou panicked.

“We can-” Mina started.

“-And we will!” Sero finished.

Kaminari whispered to him, “If you need them to stop, they will. But desperate times do call for desperate measures, even if it’s just getting your friendship back intact.”

Eijirou smiled, “Thanks bro.”

“No problem.” Kaminari smiled back.

---

The four of them sat down together at lunch the next day. Sero and Mina seemed to be plotting something, and Kaminari looked a bit afraid. Sero looked at Eijirou, then at Bakugou, who was sitting alone, then back at Eijirou. He then looked at Kaminari and smirked.

“I’ll give you 500 yen if you can convince Bakugou to sit with us.” Sero said.

“Make it 1000 and we have a deal.” Sero gave him a thumbs up and watched Kaminari go over to Bakugou.

Kaminari eventually managed to get Bakugou to sit with them. No matter how much everyone asked later, Kaminari never said how he did it. But now with Bakugou at the table, everything seemed more tense. Thankfully, Mina was brave enough to start talking.

“Hey Bakugou! How’s the homework been for you?”

“Manageable.” Bakugou huffed.

“Seriously?” Sero laughed.

“Yeah? Is the homework too hard for you?” Bakugou smirked.

“Yeah… Do you think you could tutor us?” Kaminari said, playing along.

“Yeah bro… please?” Mina pleaded.

“What about you shitty hair?”

“I kinda need it too…” Eijirou laughed nervously.

“Fine then. We’ll meet in the library after school, don’t be late.”

“Roger that!” Mina cheered.

---

At the library after school, Eijirou was the first one to show up. Of course the others were late, so Bakugou started without them.

“See this figure?” Bakugou pointed. “So if this here…”

Eijirou spaced out for a bit, looking at Bakugou. His hair looked so soft, he just wanted to pet it. Whilst in this daze, he heard Bakugou ask something, and he nodded a bit.

“Uh huh…” he said.

“No.” Bakugou face palmed. “I just said if Eijirou eats oranges, will he grow a lemon tree in his stomach? You weren’t paying attention dipshit.”

“Sorry-”

“Hey Bakubro! Guess what?” A voice, that could only be Mina’s, called from the entrance of the library. “We’re here!”

The librarian shushed her, and went back to work.

“None of you can call me Bakubro.” Bakugou growled. “Sit down.”

They got to work, feeling slightly better about their homework afterwards. This study group went on for a week or so, goofing off a bit here and there, but Bakugou kept them on task. The group got closer, but Eijirou and Bakugou got the closest. One day however, the trio decided to ditch Bakugou and Eijirou to “do something else”. He knew this really meant “talk about how to make Bakugou and Eijirou’s nonexistent love life existent then goof off even more”.

Bakugou was not happy with this. “Where are those fuckers?”

“They texted me saying they were off doing something today…” Eijirou smiled, slightly guilty.

“Oh my fucking god…” Bakugou sighed, and scribbled something onto a scrap piece of paper. “Take it.”

It appeared to be a phone number. Eijirou blushed a bit at this. “Really?”

“Yeah, I really have a phone, now add me to the group chat you must have with dunce face, racoon eyes, and tape arms.”

“Those aren’t their names! And uh, I’ll make a new group chat if you don’t mind.” Eijirou did just that.

Bakugou heard notifications coming from his phone and muted the chat. “Alright, time to study.”

Eijirou tried to focus, he really did, but it was hard being only him and Bakugou. His eyes roamed over Bakugou’s hands, going up to his muscles, then resting on his eyes. “What are you looking at?”

“Your pretty- um,” Eijirou was snapped out of his trance, “Your pretty damn good drawing right there dude!”

“That’s an equation you dunce. And you weren’t even looking at it.” Bakugou narrowed his eyes. “This doesn’t have anything to do with Ai, does it?”

“W-why would you think that bro?”

“You’re not subtle Eijirou. And neither are your friends. They talked about getting us together while I was in earshot. And well… I’m not ready for that type of commitment.”

“Dude, shit, I’m really sorry…” Eijirou covered his face in his hands.

“Don’t be. When I was in junior high, Ai wrote a love poem to me. It wasn’t even good, but some bullies stole it from her and one of the sick fucks read it out loud to us. Occasionally I was glad nothing came out of it. But most of the time I wish she just talked to me about it, and didn’t run away from me.”

“Had you ever considered her feelings about it?”

“All the fucking time. Well, I considered them, but couldn’t wrap my head around why she fucking liked me, but then wouldn’t talk to me for the rest of my life.”

Eijirou hummed at this, “Maybe she felt scared? Or worried that you hated her? Maybe she didn't want that type of commitment yet either.”

“Maybe.” Bakugou looked down.

“Would… do you think you’d ever want that type of commitment?” Eijirou twiddled his thumbs.

“Probably. I just need time to think about it. I’ve never been in a relationship, so…”

“Makes sense.” Eijirou said.

And with that, they went back to studying.

---

The week flew by, and eventually Aizawa talked about hero outfits. “Every hero needs a signature outfit to tell them apart. I have placed papers on your desk so you can start thinking about them and drawing them out.”

Eijirou thought about this for quite a bit. He needed something baggy, but unique. He drew out a couple sketches, but finally decided on a very simple outfit that would aid him in battle. A red poncho, a long sleeved shirt, and black baggy pants. He went up to Aizawa and gave him the paper.

Aizawa nodded, “I will make sure to tell the designers that these need to be unrippable.”

“Thank you Aizawa sensei.” Eijirou went back to his seat to find Bakugou also done. “Hey bro. What’d ya make?”

Bakugou smirked. “Grenades.”

Eijirou’s eyes lit up, “Woah! Super manly! So are you like a giant grenade or do you have multiple grenades on a belt, or-“

Bakugou laughed, “I actually have two grenades on my arms.”

“Woah! What do they do?”

“You’ll have to find out. I’m not giving away all my secrets for free!”

“What’ll I have to do to find out?” Eijirou asked, smiling a bit.

“Wait and see what tricks Aizawa has up his sleeve. I have a feeling he’s going to have us spar again after we get our suits.”

“Alright class. Tomorrow, after you get your hero outfits, we will be doing an activity. I hope to see you wide awake tomorrow. Class dismissed.” Aizawa said as he crawled into his sleeping bag.

“Told ya.” Bakugou smirked.

---

In class the next day, they were tasked to change into their new hero outfits and reconvene at ground beta. When they got there, Aizawa split them into teams: the villain team, and the hero team. The exercise was simple. If you’re the villain, get the flag from the hero’s base. If you’re the hero, restrain the villain with handcuffs before they can get your flag. The first team was Midoriya and Eijirou as the heroes, and Bakugou and Aoyama as the villains.

“Alright Midoriya.” Eijirou said, punching his fists together. “Let’s give it our all!”

“They won’t even know what’s coming.” Midoriya smiled darkly. “Can you stay here and protect the flag?”

“Totally man!” And with that, Midoriya was off.

After a few minutes, he heard explosions coming from outside the door and Midoriya calling, “Eijirou, watch out! Behind you!”

He looked behind him, and Aoyama was about to take the flag. He lunged at Aoyama, taking both of them down. He quickly fastened handcuffs onto Aoyama’s wrists. This left Bakugou the only one on the villain team.

“You’re going down!” Eijirou exclaimed.

“Hah? You dumbasses think you can stop me?” Bakugou said. “Well think again.”

Bakugou flew up to the ceiling using his quirk. Midoriya leapt up after him, pulling him down. Bakugou blasted Midoriya off of him using one of the grenades on his arms, and went to grab the flag. Eijirou stepped in front of him, grabbing Bakugou’s arm, and flipping him down to the ground. Bakugou didn’t realize this until the last moment, tripping Eijirou with his feet, and propelling himself upwards with his hands.

Midoriya pushed Bakugou away from the flag and distracted him enough for Eijirou to tackle him to the ground. Eijirou practically layed on top of him so Midoriya could fasten the restraints onto him. Eijirou smiled and booped Bakugou on the nose. Bakugou nearly bit his finger off.

“I see you lost against your bitter rivals once again Bakugou!” Eijirou acted, smirking.

“I see you’re still laying on top of me.” Bakugou deadpanned.

“Oh! Sorry bro!” Eijirou got off Bakugou and smiled sheepishly.

“Alright, the heroes win. Please exit down the stairs and bring the handcuffs with you.” Aizawa said over the loudspeakers.

The handcuffs unlocked, and the two villains took them off. Eijirou gave Bakugou a side hug, and surprisingly, Bakugou didn’t push him off. Midoriya looked at the two, deep in thought.

“Hey Kacchan?” Midoriya finally asked.

“What nerd?” Bakugou growled.

“I remember you telling me about another Kirishima? Ai Kirishima, right?” Bakugou nodded as Eijirou visibly tensed. “Eijirou, are you and Ai related? I remember Kacchan talking a lot about her, but then stopped suddenly-”

Aoyama stepped in, realizing Eijirou’s discomfort. “I don’t think that’s your business mon ami. You said Bakugou only talked about this person, oui?”

“Well, yes, but-”

"But nothing Midoriya. This is between Eijirou and myself, no one else.” Bakugou growled.

Midoriya looked confused and had his head hung low. “Sorry Kacchan, sorry Eijirou.”

Eijirou hummed, and Bakugou clicked his tongue. Eijirou looked at Aoyama and mouthed “thank you”. Aoyama smiled, their eyes twinkling. Eijirou smiled back.

When they got down to the bottom floor, Midoriya thought he heard a clang, but Bakugou brushed it off saying it was probably some falling debris from their fight. Midoriya shakily agreed, and went outside with the others in tow.

---

When the day was over, Eijirou and Bakugou met up at the library to study. Or well, for Bakugou to try to tutor Eijirou, and for Eijirou to stare at him. But this time, Eijirou had a confession to make.

“Hey Bakugou?” Eijirou whispered.

“What.” Bakugou grunted.

“I need your full attention for this…”

“Okay fine,” Bakugou turned to face him, “What is it?”

“I’ve been lying to you…”

“About?”

“Ai…” Eijirou looked down at his hands on his lap.

“I figured as much. Or at least you were being dismissive and changing the subject whenever she came up.” Bakugou huffed.

He turned back to study before Eijirou grabbed his shoulder. “Bakugou. Please just listen.”

“Spit it out.”

“I’m trans… As in transgender, as in I’m a boy, but my old name used to be Ai, but I figured you’d-”

“You’re… Ai?” Bakugou stared at Eijirou blankly.

“Well, that was my old name, yes.” Eijirou laughed shakily.

“Shit, right…” Bakugou paused. “Sorry. I accept you for who you are..? Fucking hell- this is the one thing I’m not good at.”

“You’re doing alright.” Eijirou smiled a bit. “I just couldn’t have myself be two different people in your mind. So I had to tell you. I’m really sorry for not doing it earlier…”

“Don’t be.” Bakugou frowned. “You should always be able to do shit when you’re ready, not because someone was wondering why xyz happened."

“Thanks bro.”

“No problem.”

Eijirou paused for a moment. “Can I give you a hug?”

“Yeah. C'mere.”

Bakugou opened his arms and Eijirou fell right into them, shaking a bit. Bakugou pet his hair a bit, and finally felt pretty damn content with his and Eijirou’s relationship. He still had questions of course, but nothing urgent enough to voice.

They both went home, went to bed, and fell asleep in their respective beds. All snuggled up in their blankets, they felt safe and warm, but only for a moment. They woke to a dank smell in the air, and something restraining them.

“What the hell…” Bakugou muttered, but was wide awake when he saw that he was shackled to a chair.

Bakugou tried using his quirk, but nothing happened. He growled, trying again and again, to no avail. He stopped when he saw a shadow loom over him.

“Welcome to the League of Villains. Let me introduce myself… I am-”

“I don’t give a fuck, let me out of these.”

“I suppose it isn’t nice to treat a new member like this… Toga, please release him.”

Toga, a schoolgirl with messy blonde buns, skipped over to Bakugou and released him. He tried to use his quirk on the shadow, but it still didn’t work.

“Now that’s not very nice!” Toga smiled at him, playing with the knife in her hand.

Bakugou cursed under his breath, “What do you want from me?”

“We want you and Eijirou to join the League.” The shadow replied.

“Why would- wait, Eijirou?” Bakugou looked around to find Eijirou shackled to a chair. “Let him go.”

“I suppose it’s only fair.” Toga giggled and went over to release him.

“Wha- where am I?” A high pitched voice called from the chair. “What the- Is this a nightmare? Wake up, wake up, wake up-”

As Eijirou was trying to pinch himself, Bakugou rushed to his side, and tried to calm him down. “What the hell did you do to him!?”

A tall muscular figure came out of the shadows. “Yeah Kurogiri, what did you do?”

“Quirk suppressants, remember Magne?” Kurogiri hissed.

“Still doesn’t make it okay to suppress passive quirks, like a voice changing quirk… I’m really sorry if you’re feeling dysphoric right now. We won’t make you talk unless you want to.” Eijirou nodded shakily.

“Bakugou and Eijirou,” Kurogiri repeated, “We would like you to join the League of Villains.”

Bakugou laughed, “Why the hell would we do that?”

“You in particular seem to have a very powerful quirk-”

“You in particular seem to not care about Eijirou at all.”

“I was getting to him.” Kurogiri snapped. “You seem to have a very powerful quirk, and Eijirou seems to adapt well to fighting styles. We also realized that your personalities can be considered villainous, especially Bakugou’s.”

“Okay,” Bakugou laughed, “Let me just put this out there, because Eijirou is too dimwitted to notice. You only want him as a human shield… And how in the fucking hell could Eijirou’s personality be villainous? You’re trying to seed doubt into him, aren’t you?”

Kurogiri glared at him, “I said especially yours Bakugou. If you keep running your mouth, you’re gonna wind up dead. You don’t have a quirk at your disposal, and no one to help you-”

“Basically, you need to watch your mouth before I disintegrate it off.” A skinny, blue-haired figure walked into the room, through the doorway.

Bakugou went quiet at this, and Kurogiri laughed, “It doesn’t matter anyways now. You’ve shown us that you’re quite useless… Shigaraki, would you like to dispose of them?”

“Fine… I guess I have to do all the dirty work…”

Shigaraki reached out his ungloved hand to Bakugou.

“No!” Eijirou leapt up and pulled Bakugou away from the rapidly approaching hand.

Eijirou surveyed Bakugou’s body for any signs of decay. He let out a sigh of relief when he didn’t see any. He looked around and saw that all the exits were blocked, except one window.

“Bakugou, you’re gonna be safe, I promise…”

He pulled Bakugou into his arms, and smashed through the window. He didn’t know how far the fall would be. He didn’t care. He tried using his quirk, which still didn’t work, but the fall surprisingly never came.

A deep voice that could only belong to All Might, boomed above them, “Can you get these kids to safety Hound Dog?”

“Of course.” All Might passed both Eijirou and Bakugou to him. “Where do you two live?”

“You can drop both of us off near the river, I can walk us home from there.” Bakugou said uneasily.

“I don’t want anyone to get hurt again, please tell me where you live.” Hound Dog frowned, still running away from the commotion the pro heroes were causing.

“Eijirou can’t talk right now, and I have no idea where he lives, so just drop me off at the river, it’s only a block away from my house.”

Hound Dog sighed, but put them down when they got to the river. “I’ll make sure you get in safely, okay?”

“Fine. Eijirou, do you want to stay the night?” Eijirou blushed a bit in the faint light of the streetlights, but gave him a hug and nodded. “Alright. Thank you Hound Dog.”

Hound Dog grunted, and once they got in safely, he left.

“I’M HOME. I HAVE A FRIEND OVER, OKAY?” Bakugou yelled.

“Katsuki!?” Mitsuki yelled from the couch, crying. “Did you get yourself kidnapped or did you go hang out with your friend?”

Bakugou tensed, “I got kidnapped you bitch! Didn’t you see the news? He’s only here because he got kidnapped as well!”

Mitsuki said, still bawling, “Katsuki, I’m so sorry. I should’ve been there, I should’ve done something-”

“You couldn’t have. They’re too strong. Can we go to bed now?”

Mitsuki huffed, “Fine. Leave your mother to cry on her own.”

“You have dad over there, don’t pretend that I don’t see him.”

Bakugou went to his room with Eijirou in tow, and started to break down. Eijirou sat down next to him, rubbing his back, but Eijirou started crying too. Eijirou gave up trying to rub Bakugou’s back, and pulled him into a tight hug. Bakugou hugged him back.

“Am I… I wish I was more heroic… I wish-”

Eijirou cut him off, “You spoke for me when I couldn’t. Isn’t that heroic?

“Not necess-”

“You are a hero Bakugou. No matter what anyone says.”

Bakugou sniffled into Eijirou’s shoulder, “Call me Katsuki.”

“You’re a hero Katsuki.” Eijirou grabbed the back of Katsuki’s shirt.

“You too Eijirou.”

Katsuki pulled Eijirou onto his bed, and they arranged themselves so they were lying down. “Thank you Ei. Thank you for being there for me, even when you shouldn’t have been captured in the first place.”

“You shouldn’t have either.” Eijirou rubbed Katsuki’s hand with his.

Katsuki hummed, cuddling into Eijirou’s side. Eijirou carefully put Katsuki’s blanket over them, and waited for him to fall asleep. When he heard faint snores coming from him, Eijirou finally relaxed.

“Goodnight…” Eijirou yawned, and wrapped his arms around the already sleeping Bakugou.

---

When they woke up, Eijirou heard his parents talking with the Bakugous through the door. “I’ll be back.”

Katsuki grunted, so he knew he heard him. Eijirou was so relieved his voice was back to normal, he almost cried. Almost. He had to be strong for Katsuki. He opened the door, and walked down the hall to their kitchen where his parents were standing. When they noticed him, they rushed to give him a hug.

“We missed you so much Eijirou.” His ma said.

“I missed you too.”

“Are you okay?” His mom said.

“That’s debatable. I’ll be fine though.” He gave both of his moms a hug and a peck on the cheek in reassurance.

“Is Katsuki still in his room?” Masaru asked him.

“Yeah. I wouldn’t worry, he’s just tired.” Eijirou smiled.

“Wait, you slept in the same room?” Mom accused.

“Yeah..?”

“In the same bed?”

“Yes, but we didn’t do anything-”

“-Oh sure you didn’t!” Mom glared at him.

Ma came to his rescue, “Honey, it had gotta be very stressful for him. Lay off for a while, alright? We can talk about this later.”

Mom frowned, “As long as Eijirou is there.”

“Of course he will.” Ma smiled at him.

Mitsuki coughed, “Would you like tea Eijirou?”

“Yes please, thank you Mrs. Bakugou.” As Mitsuki got the water boiling, Katsuki came out of his room. “Good morning!”

“Mornin.” Katsuki yawned. “Couldn’t get back to sleep, ya noisy fucks.”

“Katsuki!” Mitsuki warned.

“Whatever.” Katsuki slung his arm around Eijirou’s shoulder. “So, what’s the news coverage on this?”

“A bunch of villains got arrested, but not enough.” Mitsuki sighed. “They also mentioned Hound Dog taking you two to safety.”

“I’m thankful he took you guys all the way here.” Mom said and Ma hummed in agreement.

“What’s gonna happen school-wise?” Katsuki asked his mom.

“I believe Mr. Aizawa is coming over to talk about that.” Mitsuki answered.

“Well, no matter what happens, I am going to become the number one hero, and I’m not dropping out.”

Eijirou laughed, “We never doubted you for a second.”

There was a knock at the door. Mitsuki peered outside through the glass on the door, and saw a man with long black hair. She opened the door and smiled to him, “Mr. Aizawa, what a pleasure! Are you doing well?”

“I’m doing fine, just tired mostly. We’re setting up dorms on campus in hopes this never happens again.”

“And I’d live with all those losers?” Katsuki huffed. “No thanks.”

“I’d live with everyone else?” Eijirou turned around and made puppy dog eyes to his parents.

“We’ll think about it…” Ma said warily.

“It will be under surveillance, so no villain can get in, and no one can sneak out at night.” Aizawa assured.

“I think it’ll be the best for Katsuki. He needs to be protected better, and he needs more friends.” Masaru said.

“I have Eijirou…” Katsuki grumbled.

“Don’t you have Kaminari, Mina, and Sero as well?” Eijirou whispered.

“As if I’d be friends with those extras.” Katsuki hissed.

“Well, the dorms are being built as we speak. It won’t be required, but it is highly advised, especially for the two of you.” Aizawa motioned to the two boys.

“We’ll consider it Mr. Aizawa.” Mom said.

---

In the end, both his Ma and Mom decided that Eijirou could live there. He was really happy to hear Katsuki was too. He was even happier to see he was going to live in the room right next to Katsuki.

“Katsuki!” He yelled when he saw him at school. “Bro! Guess what?”

“What.”

“We’re gonna live next to each other! We’re gonna be neighbors!”

“I know. Aizawa sent out a paper detailing where we’d be staying.”

“But aren’t you happy?”

“I’m happy to not be living right next to any of these extras.” Katsuki huffed.

Eijirou smiled and ruffled Katsuki’s hair. Katsuki tried to smack the hand off of him, but Eijirou was smart enough to pull away before he could use his quirk. Kaminari watched them, smiling at them playing.

Kaminari walked over to the two, addressing Eijirou, “Dude, what even happened when you got kidnapped? You two are acting like you’re married or something.”

Both boys tensed at his question. Katsuki finally told him it’s none of his business, and walked to his seat. Eijirou shrugged sadly, and walked to his seat as well. This left Kaminari worried about what possibly could have happened to them.

“Hey, Eijirou?” Kaminari sat down in the chair next to him. “Something wrong?”

“It was scary… that’s all I’ll say.” Eijirou said.

“Oh… I’m sorry I asked.” Kaminari stood up and went to his own seat.

Aizawa unzipped himself from his sleeping bag, “Alright class, settle down. As you may know, we now have dorms for you to live in. This was because of a kidnapping incident recently. If you watched the news, you’d know that it involved UA students, so please refrain from talking to them about it. Now, read the dorm rules I’ve given you so you know the expectations. That is all.”

Aizawa graded papers as people read the dorm rules. People started sneaking glances at Eijirou and Katsuki, which started to piss them off. After Katsuki read all the rules, he stood up, and his chair made a screeching noise.

“Pardon the interruption, but could everyone stop looking at us ? It’s really not that hard to do.” Katsuki said in the most passive aggressive voice he could manage, and sat back down.

“Bakugou. Have you read everything carefully?” Aizawa asked.

“Of course.”

“Well wait for everyone else to finish then.” Aizawa said, and went back to grading.

As everyone finished, Aizawa had them do a quiz on dorm safety. Katsuki thought this was excessive, but did it anyways. He was sure some people needed to know this… especially Mina, Kaminari, and Sero, who were sure to cause some form of chaos on the first night.

---

When everyone finished their quizzes, Aizawa sent them off to unpack further. Eijirou helped Katsuki move some boxes, which Katsuki got a bit mad about. “I can move my own shit, hair for brains!”

Eijirou just smiled and kept on helping him. “So, are you gonna be going to the party?”

“What party? I hope they don’t keep me up when I’m trying to sleep.”

“That’s the whole point! C’mon, what do you say?” Eijirou slung an arm around Katsuki’s neck.

“No! Not going, not happening.” Katsuki shrugged the arm off of him.

“I know at least two people are going to try to force you to go, just a heads up.” Eijirou shrugged.

“Then I’ll blast those losers away.” Katsuki growled.

“Good luck, because here they come…”

“Bakubro! Guess what?” Sero practically yelled in his ear.

“GET OFF ME TAPE ARMS.”

“Well, since you’re not guessing…” Mina smirked, “You’ll have to come see for yourself!”

“No, I know exactly what’s going on. You’re planning a shitty party for shitty people. Since I’m not a shitty person, I’m not going.” Katsuki pointed a Mina accusingly.

Sero cackled, “You are a shitty person though!”

Eijirou stepped in, “Guys… this is getting out of hand. Katsuki, let’s go to the party for a bit, and then you can leave if you really want to?”

“Fine, but I’m not walking next to these dumbasses.” Katsuki frowned.

“Katsuki… They’re on a first name basis!” Mina muttered to herself and grinned.

They got down to the bottom floor of the dorms, where the party was. And boy, was it dull. To be fair, it hadn’t officially started yet, but Katsuki wasn’t impressed. Mina ran over to the music player, and started some music to try to liven things up.

“What the fuck is this?” Katsuki grumbled. “Thought there’d actually be shit.”

“There’ll be shit soon!” Mina smiled, then yelled to get everyone’s attention, “We’re playing spin the bottle everyone!”

“No we are not!” A voice called from the back, probably belonging to Iida.

“Seven minutes in heaven?” A few boos were heard. “Okay fine, we’ll play truth or dare like we planned… Everyone circle up!”

Sero started explaining the rules, “Everyone gets one veto to use. Only one. If you use it, and you don’t want to answer another question, or don’t want to do another dare, you have to sit out. Got it?”

“Like hell I’m backing out!” Katsuki growled.

“Alright Bakugou, we’ll see about that.” Mina relaxed a bit and said, “Who wants to go first?”

Aoyama raised their hand, “Eijirou, truth or dare?”

“Hmm… Dare!” Eijirou grinned.

“I dare you to give Bakugou a hug!”

“Oh, that’s easy!” Eijirou gave Katsuki a tight hug, then released him.

Midoriya’s eyes went wide, “How’d you do that?”

“How’d I do what?” Eijirou asked. “Oh, I… hugged him?”

“I don’t let just anyone hug me dumbass.” Katsuki grumbled.

“Oh, right…” Eijirou laughed.

Some secrets were shared, and dares were done, until it was soon Mina’s turn. “Hey Bakugou, truth or dare?”

He new each option wouldn’t be favorable, but eventually said, “Dare.”

Mina’s grin widened, “I dare you to whisper something dirty into Eijirou’s ear.”

“Fine then.” Katsuki leaned in, and cupped his hands around Eijirou’s ear, “You honestly just have to blush to make this believable, okay?”

Eijirou nodded slightly, so Katsuki continued, “Dirt, plants, roots, trees, grass, rocks, the birds and the bees…”

Eijirou tried to contain a laugh, but couldn’t manage it. “Katsuki!”

“Was it really that bad?” Mina asked.

“No! It wasn’t bad… just funny is all.”

“Sure… And since when are you two on a first name basis?”

“And since when was it your business?” Katsuki retorted.

Mina huffed, “Fine then. Keep your secrets for all I care!”

The game went on, Midoriya was dared to lick Todoroki’s cheek, but got his tongue stuck from the cold, Kaminari used his veto when someone asked who his crush was, and Iida was dared to take his pants and shirt off and run down the hallway, but he, of course, used his veto. It was then Sero’s turn to ask Eijirou something.

“Yo Eijirou?”

“Yeah?”

“Truth or dare?” Sero grinned.

“Dare!”

“Kiss Bakugou.”

Mina smiled at Sero and laughed, “You have no shame.”

Iida piped in, his hands chopping, “What is the meaning of this? You don’t kiss another bro on the mouth! That’s against the bro code!”

No one knew where Iida got this information from, and he was most likely reciting this from someone, but no one bothered to ask. Everyone was focused on the tension between Eijirou and Katsuki. Finally Eijirou piped up, “Eh, I’ll take my veto now!”

“Damn right you should.” Katsuki said, but frowning ever so slightly.

Why would he be sad? Eijirou pondered for a moment, gave out a dare to Asui, and decided to head to his room. Katsuki watched him leave, and decided it may be good to leave while he still could.

---

Katsuki went to his room, turned the lights off, and went to bed. He dreamt up a world where everything was nice, and good, and fair… Until it wasn’t. A hand reaching out towards his face. Dust, that could only be his own flesh, covering his clothes. He awoke with a bang from his quirk. He hadn’t had any dreams like that since the sludge monster.

“What the fuck, what the fuck, what the fuck…” Katsuki tried to breathe in and out slowly, “It was just a dream. A stupid, shitty nightmare trying to get in my way.”

He heard a knock on his door, and a muffled, “Hey, Katsuki? Are you okay?”

He shakily got to his feet, and opened the door to find Eijirou. Eijirou gave him a tight hug, “Are you okay? Are you hurt? I heard a loud bang and-”

“I’m fine. Just a nightmare…” Katsuki tried to reassure him.

“You don’t seem fine. C’mon. Do you want some warm milk? There’s some in the fridge that I can heat up for you.”

“Would you mind… no nevermind, bad idea. I’d like some milk.”

Eijirou looked at him concerned, but they both went downstairs without a word. When they got to the kitchen, Eijirou got a glass of milk and started to heat it up in the microwave.

“I want to be there for you whenever you feel like this.” Eijirou whispered. “I wish I protected you better in the past, so I want to do better now.”

“You did your fucking best to protect me though. If you’re talking about the kidnapping, there’s nothing you could’ve done.”

“But-”

“No buts. You did the best job you could’ve done in the moment, and it left us unscathed physically. Maybe not in other ways, but that couldn’t be fucking helped.”

“Maybe…” Eijirou rubbed his rapidly dampening eyes with his arm. “I just really love you Katsuki… I don’t even care if you return my feelings, I just want you to be safe.”

“I am safe. Look, I’m right here.” Katsuki pulled him into a hug.

Eijirou made a noise of contentment at the contact. Katsuki only pulled away when he heard the microwave go off. Eijirou smiled at Katsuki as he got the milk and started drinking it.

When Katsuki was finished, Eijirou smiled, “C’mon. Do you wanna sleep in my room tonight?”

Katsuki smiled, “Yeah, I’d love that.”

---

In the morning, Katsuki awoke to a bed of tangled limbs and a faint memory of what happened the night before. He untangled himself, but accidentally managed to wake up Eijirou in the process. “Hey, ‘suki, stay here.”

“Sorry, we have class soon.” Katsuki chuckled as Eijirou woke up fully.

“Are we gonna be late?” Eijirou yelped.

“No, dumbass, look at the time. We have at least thirty minutes, don’t worry.” Eijirou hummed at this. “In the meantime, do you want to talk about what happened last night?”

A bunch of emotions passed Eijirou’s face, “Wha- maybe? No? Yes? Yes.”

“Calm down, I’m not fucking mad.” Eijirou let out a sigh of relief.

“That’s good.”

Katsuki hummed. “I just wanted to talk about when you said you… loved me? So we’re on the same page?”

“Oh, shit, I’m so sorry-”

“Don’t be.” Katsuki paused for a moment, thinking about how to say what he wanted to say, “I… I like you too. It just took me a while to figure out.”

Eijirou held his breath for a moment, “You do?”

“Yeah, what did I just fucking say?”

“I just can’t believe it. Wow. Is this a dream?” Eijirou pinched himself.

“It’s not a dream.” Katsuki smiled at him and thought for a moment. “So, do you wanna be boyfriends or some shit? You don’t have to if you don’t want to-”

“Yes!” Eijirou nearly screamed, and Katsuki hoped they wouldn’t have to deal with a tired Shouji that day.

“Pipe down, Shouji’s right next to us, remember?”

“Oh yeah, sorry.” Eijirou laughed.

“He’ll be fine.” Katsuki smiled at him, “By the way Eijirou… You’re amazing. Don’t you ever forget that.”

Eijirou blushed at Katsuki’s kind words, “I won’t. You’re amazing too Katsuki.”

“Hell yeah I am.” Katsuki blushed a bit, and then realized what time it was, “Oh fuck, we need to get ready.”

Eijirou laughed, “Yeah, we do!”

Katsuki rushed to his own room to change, passing a very startled Shouji on the way out. “Hey Bakugou?”

Katsuki turned around and actually processed that Shouji was there, “Fuck off, I need to get ready.”

Shouji just chuckled, and went to class. Eventually so did Eijirou and Katsuki, looking slightly out of breath when they got there. Luckily, the bell hadn’t rung yet, so they were safe from Aizawa’s possible punishments that he could’ve dished out. They sat down in their seats, just in the nick of time, because the bell rang, and Aizawa started class.

---

Eijirou and Katsuki decided to sleep together at night, so they wouldn’t feel alone in their nightmares. This quickly lead to an increase in Eijirou’s well-being, and eventually lead to Katsuki being nicer to others… But only by a little bit. The two of them kissed, made out, fought, made up, and all the normal things couples do.

They knew they were destined to become pro heroes, but when they finally got their license, it felt so real to them that they could make a huge impact on other people’s lives. Katsuki climbed up the rankings, claiming the record for the fastest anyone got to first place. Eijirou took a short break to get top surgery. While Eijirou recovered, Katsuki branched off and made an agency for the both of them.

“Hey Katsuki? Guess what?” Eijirou said one day while they were walking around town.

“What?” Katsuki smiled.

He’d heard this one time and time again, but always loved it when Eijirou answered, “I love you.”

“I love you too.”

It was times like this when the both of them felt compelled to become better heroes. For the public, for each other, but most importantly themselves.
