Work Text:

giyuu loves mornings.

it's one of those times he could stare at sanemi's face, because he always wakes up earlier than him. he could stare at sanemi all he want at any time of the day but seeing sanemi asleep, peaceful, calm, and angelic makes him feel at ease. at ease from all the questions, all the thoughts, all the uncertainties running around his head tirelessly. sanemi makes him feel at ease. sanemi always does that without even trying.

giyuu often degrades himself when he goes deep in his thoughts. if sabito or shinobu heard him say those things out loud, they will definitely smack him in the head and say a bunch of encouraging words. he's sure they'll do that. but these thoughts never really come out of his mouth. these thoughts, to him, has slowly became a fact. from "i feel like i am" to "i am." it became like that, in giyuu's mind.

and sanemi knows what to do at times like that. he'll pull him tightly into his embrace, whispering soft "i love you"'s into giyuu's ear. he'll kiss his forehead, patting his back repeatedly, and let giyuu spill whatever he's thinking. it was home for the both of them. it felt just right. perfect, even.

"it's alright to be sad, love."

that's what sanemi always says.

for sabito and shinobu, sanemi saved giyuu from a horrendous sea. giyuu has been better since he met his two closest friends but still, sanemi makes giyuu's thoughts less and less negative every waking day. mitsuri, sanemi's best friend, would often say that their waves were constantly crashing in the past. she had no idea how to calm both of their waves down. but she knew the answer when the waves finally calmed down. what caused it? what caused the sudden change? she was certain that it is this one emotion. there is no other answer.

love. it was love.

sanemi might have said "you mean so much more than you think you do, giyuu" too much that now giyuu actually started to believe it.

it was 6 a.m.

giyuu woke up with his head resting on sanemi's arm. he's still sleeping soundly, to giyuu's joy. his early morning ritual is to stare at his boyfriend's face like a total dumbass. falling in love with sanemi still feels surreal to him, honestly. at first, he didn't even want to believe that he was having even the slightest bit of feelings that's not anger for sanemi. he didn't want to accept that he is falling in-love. he didn't want to accept that the only place that was filled with love and comfort was next to no other than shinazugawa sanemi.

and yet here he is, now.

other people might see them differently and think, "how would these two work together? they would never get along." in fact, it used to be like that. the both of them would never deny that. at the end of the day, they're just two boys in-love. as simple as that.

giyuu stared at sanemi as he thought of these things. he softly kissed the tip of sanemi's nose, until his eyes diverted into his lips.

he felt blood rushing to his cheeks, and he shook his head to remove the embarrassment. 'giyuu, you can't just kiss him when he's asleep!', he thought. but he still wanted to do it anyway. so he did.

he pressed his lips onto sanemi's lips softly. it was pure, innocent, and nice. he always loves the way his lips feel like when it crashes with sanemi's. whatever kind of kiss it might be. if it's sanemi, then all is well. shinazugawa sanemi is all over the system of tomioka giyuu.

just when giyuu was about to pull away, he felt sanemi's lips move. sanemi smiled through the kiss, and slowly deepened it. he really do love giyuu, more than anyone.

"why would you kiss me when i'm asleep? you should've woke me up," sanemi whispered followed by a soft chuckle.

"whatever."

giyuu loves mornings so much.
