Summary
After a fight, Alhaitham has a nightmare where he loses Kaveh entirely. Waking brings no relief - only a fear he can't shake, pushing him toward Kaveh's door while praying he hasn't already gone too far.
Instantly withdrawn, Kaveh rose to his feet, silently gathered his blueprints, and turned his back. Dragging a hand over his face, Alhaitham reached for the gentler words he should’ve used in the first place to try and undo the damage - but Kaveh cut him off with a quiet 'leave me alone' and retreated into his bedroom without a backward glance.
It hadn’t even been an insult, but it was somehow all the more piercing for its bare simplicity. In one solitary sentence, Alhaitham heard the echo of every fear he carried about himself - incapable of the softness required to hold something as bright as Kaveh’s trust without breaking it into pieces.

Summary
Kaveh has no trouble getting commissions now. His clients have long since learned what an honor it is to work with him, and give him little trouble. This Sumeru has slowly but surely gained an appreciation for the arts he hardly has to fight for anymore.
And Al-Haitham. His beautiful husband Al-Haitham, who he wakes up next to every morning and kisses goodbye before he walks out the door. His beloved, who slices fruit for him each night to ensure he eats enough and sees to it that he can’t remember the last time he slept so little he woke up tired in the morning.
The man who saw him drunk and homeless in the tavern and offered him a home. The man who he left with the tatters of their thesis to live in the ghost of their project all alone, and who loved him anyway. The man who cuts off the peels of his apples every night just because Kaveh doesn’t like the texture, whose lips curl up with every kiss he gives him.
How beautiful is it, to be loved enough to be forgiven?
Kaveh finds gray hairs and realizes that he is growing old with Al-Haitham.
For the prompt: "I'll never finish falling in love with you."

Summary
“It reminds me of you,” Al-Haitham says, slow and pondering as it is certain, and Kaveh almost topples over right then and there when he realizes that it had only taken work and meal times and sleep to tear Al-Haitham out of this room where he’s perpetually surrounded by the sweetened remembrance of Kaveh built up around him. It’s perhaps one of the most romantic things he could have said at the moment in that understated and yet viciously evident way of his.
God, Kaveh wants to say. Don’t remind me of how much I love you, Al-Haitham.

Summary
The first Guide that is brought forward is a mess. Al-Haitham keeps his head down as the exchange commences, and once she is let go, Kaveh himself stands up and makes his way down off his throne. Then he looks at Al-Haitham and asks him to touch his hand.
It takes approximately half a second for Al-Haitham to know that he is doomed for life.
Al-Haitham enters a marriage of convenience with Kaveh, the new king of Sumeru.
