Chapter Text
Its 2019, woah! In about weeks, they are about to celebrate the band's 6th year and right now they are rehearsing for an upcoming anniversary show and TV special. They are currently practicing the dance choreographies and the main dancers, Jimin and Hoseok are helping the other members learn the moves.
Just then Jimin suddenly asked to stop for a minute who was in the middle of helping his Yoongi hyung, "Wait!" He said while slightly panting, catching his breath. He slumped towards the floor and tried to relieve his body from numbness and exhaustion.
"Jimin hyung are you okay?" the maknae quickly asked as soon as he sees him on the floor.
"I'm fine, Jungkook-ah!" he assured him who still managed to smile at that state, turning to the side where Jungkook is.
"Yah Jimin-ah! You're overworking yourself again." Jin said from behind. "I know we need to finish this today but you can still ask for some break if you're exhausted and please don't go that hard, its still just rehearsals, you know?!" He added with much concern.
"I'm alright Jin hyung really!" Jimin answered and hurriedly sat up from the floor he was previously slumped at, to reassure the others.
"Jimin you can take a longer break. Jungkook-ah can take over helping Yoongi hyung." Hoseok suddenly commanded who was also in the middle of helping Taehyung and Namjoon.
"No Hobi hyung I can do it! I can manage!" Jimin suddenly said and immediately stood up from the floor, ready to dance again. "Jungkook-ah is busy helping Jin hyung!"
"I can help you teach Yoongi hyung along with Jin hyung." Jungkook insisted in a bit worried tone.
"Thanks Jungkook-ah!" Jimin said in a grateful tone and smiled cutely at him. "But I'm really fine, everyone, please don't worry about me!" He insisted again, determined to convince them.
"Okay okay, why don't we all just take a break?!" Namjoon suggested.
"Good idea, Namjoon-ah!" Yoongi immediately agreed and sat at one of the chairs, clearly tired too.
The others then decided to just follow their leader's suggestion and took a break.
"Jin hyung! Have you brought any food?" Jungkook asked approaching Jin with a phone in his hand.
"Oh yeah I did! There's food in my bag." Jin answered and pointed to his bag in the corner right next to Yoongi. "Give some to Jimin-ah, found out he didn't get breakfast AGAIN!" He huffed glaring at the younger.
"What?! I did!" Jimin quickly defended himself looking towards his Jin hyung.
"No you didn't!" Jungkook blurted out and Jimin glared at him.
"I did! The coffee and sandwich you gave me, remember?" He said raising an eyebrow at Jungkook, trying to tell him to 'back him up or he'll kill him later' with his eyes.
"Which I only bought for you because you refused to grab some at the dorms when I told you to." Jungkook retaliated in an 'as-a-matter-of-fact' tone.
"Looks like somebody's got some explaining to do." Yoongi suddenly said in an accusing tone which made Jimin flustered because he knew that if his Yoongi hyung tries to involve himself in it, it means he really did something bad. "Yah Jimin-ah you always nag at me for not getting enough sleep but you do just the same with your crazy diet!"
"I'm sorry hyung! Its just that-" Jimin said ready to defend himself but he was quickly interrupted by none other than his bestfriend in the band, Taehyung.
"Oh don't you dare say you feel like you're getting big again because you're not. Look you're obviously shrinking again." Taehyung said in concern who was at his side now, pointing out his small arms.
"That's what I told him!" Jungkook agreed.
"Guys I seriously appreciate the concern, I do! But I'm telling you, I can take care of myself!" Jimin argued, obviously frustrated that everyone is ganging up on him about this but then he understands that they're only looking out for him.
"Why do you do that? You take care of almost everyone like an angel but you refuse to let us take care of you in return?!" Jungkook said in a disappointed tone.
"No. Jungkookie its not that!" Jimin said turning his gaze on him.
"You know what, forget it!" Jungkook stood up, grabbed his phone and walked towards the door. "Excuse me! I'm just gonna get some air."
"No please Jungkook-ah!" Jimin stood up attempting to follow the younger out the door but he was stopped by Jin.
"Its okay Jimin-ah! I'll go and talk to him." Jin tapped him on his shoulders and left towards the door.
Taehyung approached him and gave him a comforting smile. "I swear that's not what I meant!" He told Taehyung with anxious and sad eyes.
"I know, I know!" Taehyung was quick to assure him. "Jungkookie is just upset but he'll come around. Don't worry! Come let's just wait for him and Jin hyung to return so you could also calm down."
"No I have to go and follow him! You know how much I hate arguing with him!" Jimin said determined to go out the door.
Taehyung grabbed him on the wrist, "Listen you are both upset! Things are just going to get worse if you push for this. Just let Jin hyung talk to him first. Besides, we all know that he can't really resist you for too long. He cares for you that much." He added, smiling at Jimin hoping this will help reassure him.
"I know, he's our maknae! And he cares for all of his hyungs." He stated, already smiling.
"That's not what I really meant but okay, as long as you're smiling now." Taehyung seems like he still has something to say but lets it go for now, not wanting to stress his bestfriend even more.
Jimin suddenly looked around them and noticed that they're the only ones left in the room. "Oh where did everybody go?" He asked Taehyung who also looked around like he just also noticed the sudden disappearance of their bandmates.
"I have no idea!" He answered, chuckling. "Maybe they need some air too? Wanna go and get some too?" He added, raising his eyebrows up and down, indicating he was kidding.
"Nah I'm tired!" Jimin replied and stood up, only to slump up on the floor again.
"Guess what, I am too!" Taehyung said and quickly lied down beside him.
They both giggled at that, "This is why I think we're really soulmates. We understand each other and we both think so much alike." Jimin said taking Taehyung's hands and touched palms with him.
Taehyung who was used to it, jokingly intertwined his fingers with him. "Oh yeah? That's what I'm thinking too!" He chuckled and turned to the side where Jimin is and snaked his arms to his waist, moving closer to him. This is one of the moments where Jimin feels he and Taehyung are more than just bestfriends and soulmates.

When Jungkook came out of the dance studio, feeling so upset that he argued with his Jimin hyung. He wanted to go back as soon as he left, regretting snapping him at him like that but a few seconds later, Jin came to him.
"Yah Jungkook-ah! Are you okay?" Jin immediately asked and sat beside him at a bench.
"Yes Jin hyung, I am!" He answered not really looking at him and continued staring at the floor like it was doing something so interesting, he couldn't look away.
"So why did you walk out?" Jin asked, raising an eyebrow, forcing the other to look at him as if demanding an honest answer.
"I don't know! I was just upset that Jimin hyung is being difficult. I mean we're only trying to look out for him." Jungkook immediately ranted with his fist slightly clenched and sad eyes.
Jin threw an arm over his shoulders and gave him a comforting pat. "Well you very well know Jimin has been struggling with some insecurity issues and he can't help but take it out on things he knows he can easily control such as his body." He explained and Jungkook very well knew what he was talking about. "But that's why we're here right? To prevent him from doing what happened before. You were the one who got him to stop right? So me and your other hyungs believe he will listen to you again, okay?" He added with sincere eyes. "Jimin will be fine as long as you continue to be his favorite dongsaeng."
"I am his only dongsaeng in BTS!" Jungkook stated confidently.
"Exactly! You are his only dongsaeng in the band. He cares for you so much, he listens to you." He said with a reassuring smile.
He looked up at him and asked, "You really think so?"
Jin snorted at the question but went immediately serious when he saw Jungkook's doubts written all over his face. "Of course, even if I have to say yes a thousand times!"
He smiled at the sudden exaggerated answer but he knows it was just his Jin hyung's nature to joke around in the middle of something very serious. "Thanks Jin hyung!" He said with a smile.
"Oohh...come here! Bring it in." Jin reached out his arms as if asking for a hug.
"Uhmm...bring what in??" Jungkook on his playful mood now, pretends that he doesn't understand what he means.
"Are you serious with me right now?" Jin raised an eyebrow at him with a confused look and lowered his arms.
He laughed at his expression, looking very proud that he succeeded on making his hyung believe he didn't know what he means and he then initiated the hug, the older was trying to initiate earlier "Only kidding hyung!"
"Brat!" Jin scoffed while hugging him.
"But you love me anyway!" Jungkook responded, still laughing.
"Whatever!" Jin said and then broke away from the hug. "Now come on, let's go back inside. I'm sure Jimin is waiting for you." He stood up and nudged him to walk back inside the studio.
Jungkook doesn't respond and just followed Jin back to the studio.
When they had gone back inside, Namjoon, Hoseok and Yoongi were gone. They're sure the rapline is back at the studio again to work on some track or something. Jimin and Taehyung were still there, all curled up against the floor which appeared to be sleeping.
"These two! They'll get colds, sleeping on the floor like this." Jin immediately said, disappointment on his tone but still with much concern.
They approach the two and Jin immediately try to wake them up gently, "Yah Taehyung-ah, Jimin ah! Wake up! Why would you sleep on the cold floor?"
Taehyung stirred and squinted his eyes, "Oh Jin hyung?!" He said as soon as he realized who was trying to wake him up. He sat up and removed the hands which was in Jimin's waist.
"Yes its me! Please get up now, you'll get sick." Jin now pleaded to the younger.
Taehyung suddenly sensed the anxiousness on his hyung's tone so he immediately apologized. "Oh we're sorry! We were talking and it sudenly got quiet so we didn't notice, we're sleeping already!" He explained, stretching his arms and still looking like he's sleepy. He then turned to Jimin who was still asleep at his side, vaguely aware of the appearance of the others. "Hey Min! Wake up!" He said gently shaking him.
"Jimin ah wake up!" Jin helped Taehyung wake up the younger who was still in deep sleep and that's why he doesn't budge.
"Looks like, he's already fallen deep, he's really tired!" Jungkook suddenly said who were just silently observing earlier and squatted to check on Jimin.
"What should we do then?" Taehyung asked.
"I think we should just carry him to the car and take him home to the dorms!" Jungkook suggested while he was still staring at Jimin as if he's trying to analyze something.
"Good idea! But who will do it?" Jin asked, looking up at the two.
"I'll do it!" Jungkook volunteered. "I give him piggyback rides once in a while anyway so I can do it."
"Okay do it! He's your roommate anyway." Taehyung replied and then stood up.
Jungkook quietly snaked his arms towards Jimin's back and thighs and carried him up, bridal style. Jimin stirred but did not wake up. He grabbed Jimin's wrists and put it over his shoulders and Jimin holds on like he was awake. Jungkook checks if he is but he hears gentle snores so he just shrugged the thought that the older knows he is being carried. He stares at him while he carried him in his arms and he looks so peaceful. If only his Jimin hyung could see how he loves it when he sees him so peaceful like this unlike when he's awake who just seems like his mind is in chaos from all the pretending he seems to project all his life.
When they got to the car, Jungkook gently laid him down on one of the seats and once he got in too, he closed the doors and motioned for the driver to go back to the dorms. He was contemplating whether he will sit on the other seat to give Jimin more room to sleep comfortably but when he sees that the seatbelt can't barely hold him from falling, he gently held him up again, sat at a side on Jimin's seat and made Jimin lay on his lap instead, putting a protective arm around him so he won't fall. Jungkook was shy all his life so he didn't think he was capable of being as caring as he is to his hyungs on Bangtan especially Jimin who had always been expressive of how much the older cares for him, that's why no matter who he is in the past, he began to care for them. A few minutes of just staring into space and contemplating made him feel sleepy too so he gives in, still carefully keeping Jimin in place.
