At UA High School for aspiring pro heroes, students train and work hard almost every day to unlock their full potential to be the best heroes they can be.
Which is why today, during a sunny Wednesday afternoon in Musutafu, Japan; the students of class 1-A were currently outside in uniform to practice what they learned during their internships.
Izuku had interned under Endeavor alongside Bakugou and Todoroki. In their short, albeit hectic time together, the three had taken down a villain who wanted to exact revenge against their mentor and Izuku had mastered his new subquirk "Black Whip".
Ochako had interned with Asui under Ryukyu and even modified her costume to fit her new strengths better than her other one had.
Currently, the class was showing off their abilities against robots.
Aoyama had a new and improved laser beam that made him less queasy while Ashido showcased a new ability she developed that had been inspired by her middle school schoolmate Kirishima.
All in all, the students of class 1-A had greatly improved their abilities and are miles ahead of what they were during their first round of internships.
One student who arguably had the most improvement was none other than Ochako, who had interned with Ryukyu to improve her decision making.
The Ochako from months prior would have doubted her abilities in the field of rescuing, but now, she didn't hesitate when she saw an opportunity to prove herself.
An example of this was a couple months prior during the Joint Training Battle against Class 1-B.
She witnessed Deku howl in pain as his (then) uncontrollable quirk Black Whip had seemed to be turning against him.
Instead of hesitating, Ochako, along with Shinso, had managed to save Izuku due to her quick decision making. Much to the satisfaction of Aizawa who had congratulated the girl on her progress.
She didn't need to be saved anymore, she was perfectly capable of handling some robots.
However, that didn't mean she couldn't slip up every once in a while.
After defeating a robot, Ochako had landed on the ground unaware that another robot had made its presence known behind her.
She turned around after her ears picked up Asui call her name and came face to face with the machine.
She didn't have time to ponder on what to do so she chose to push her arms forward in hopes of floating the robot all together. It would certainly be above her weight limit but she had to try.
"Uraraka!" She heard Izuku call out and felt a hand pull her towards safety.
Izuku had pulled the girl towards his body, via hand, and with one arm, called upon Black Whip to rush forward and destroy the robot.
He was successful and more or less killed two birds with one stone. He had saved his best friend along with showcasing his newfound mastery of the quirk.
He was satisfied with his rapid improvement but was more concerned about his friend.
"Uraraka! Are you fine? It land any hits on you?" Izuku shifted his attention to girl on his right and looked at her with worry in those emerald green eyes she had found so endearing.
"Mhm. I'll be fine Deku! I'm a little disappointed in myself though... Guess I still have a long way to go." Ochako had stated with her normal cheerful voice that had turned less cheerful towards the latter half of her statement.
"Don't best yourself up so much! Everyone here would have made the same mistake, including me. Besides, you're plenty strong already and we're still only in our first year!" Deku had encouraged her with a smile as their eyes met.
She shared the smile.
"Besides... You're always saving me... Let me save you every once in a while, ok?" Izuku had told her as he never broke eye contact with the girl.
"Thank you... I think I'll hold you up on your offer!" Ochako nodded.
As they stood there, they failed to notice how Izuku was still holding onto Ochako's hand. That was until...
"AHHHHH!!! OH MY GOD!! YOU TWO ARE SO CUTE!" Mina Ashido, ever the romantic, screamed as she jumped up and down with excitement knowing her OTP was steadily sailing.
The two looked at each other and let the other's hand go with embarrassment and noticeable radioactive blushes sported on their faces.
Way to go Ashido, Thanks for killing the mood!
