When Deku had decided to form a hero duo with his girlfriend Ochako; the name that they'd be referred to affectionately (or as a mockery) was not at the forefront of his mind.
At 20, their main goal was to gain enough experience so they'd eventually be renowned in the hero world. A driving force of Deku's was his desire to help his girlfriend out in her goal of being able to provide for her parents.
Unbeknownst to the two however, when they had saved an aspiring journalist and current part-time blogger from being robbed in an alleyway while on her way home, they didn't expect for that night to be the moment when their legendary aliases would be born.
The morning after they had saved the blogger, Deku would partake in his usual morning routine of freshening up; and returning back to the bed to cuddle with his girlfriend while he checked for the latest news updates in the hero world.
While he was browsing Twitter, he wasn't expecting anything grand to make its way towards his feed but something caught his eye.
"Green Tea" was trending on Twitter along with HIM AND URAVITY!
As he scrolled through the hashtag, he clicked on a link to a website and to his surprise, the woman he and his girlfriend had saved the night prior described the event in vivid detail and ended it off by thanking the "Green Tea" duo.
Turns out, the woman was a massive hero otaku (he could relate) and had been following Deku and Uravity's young careers closely. She had a good feeling that the two would be great heroes for a long long time.
The affectionate nickname she had came up with to refer to the two had merely been imagined though a whim.
In the morning, as she was taking a sip of her tea while typing up her blog, she had came up with a clever nickname for the hero duo.
Taking Deku's trademark vibrant green hair, as well as taking inspiration from the characters Ochako's name was made up of, she had made a groundbreaking discovery.
Green Tea! That would be the perfect way to end off her blog. She brought her fingers towards the laptop and began typing.
'In regards to the man who had tried to steal my purse yesterday, Enjoy the pummeling you received from Green Tea instead ^_^.'
'Done! Now its time to sleep and hopefully not wake up for another day or so!'
She wasn't expecting to wake up to phone calls and texts from various media outlets asking HER to come and do an interview.
Little did she know, her low-key and previously dry blog had been the catalyst that thrust the hero duo Deku and Uravity into the spotlight.
Ironically, nowadays, the mere mention of the unique beverage would encourage evil-doers to think twice before committing their next crime. Unless they want their face to be plastered all over social media for being the next criminal(s) brought to justice by the fearsome Green Tea duo, it'd be in their best interest to heed their warnings.
