He springs right up on the bed, his hair disheveled.
Kei: “FUCK, I’M LATE!”
He exclaims as he struggles to get out of bed, only to fall onto the cold, hard floor.
Kei: “I shouldn’t have stayed up all night grinding for that SSR...nah, it was worth it.”
Then he proceeds to put on his usual attire and dashes out the door, heading toward his college campus: Fail-me University (Kei can’t remember the actual name).
He runs down the halls until he finally finds the right classroom and slams the door open.
Kei: “...”
Class: “...”
Npc teacher: “...”
Kei: “...”
There were nothing but stares in the room, and it was silent for a while until he noticed that some students were coming up to introduce themselves.
He dies inside a bit, realizing he has interrupted the class, and quietly finds a seat for himself.
Npc teacher: “Alright, next is Noah. Please come up and introduce yourself.”
Right when the teacher said that, a boy walked forward and faced the class, but for a while, he didn’t say anything.
Npc teacher: “Oh, that’s right; I had forgotten. Noah is mute, but please treat him well.”
Noah gently smiles and waves at the class.
Some of the students murmur, but it seems like most of the girls are clapping ecstatically.
Kei: (Wow... he’s so pretty.)
It seems Kei didn’t hear anything and was now lost in thought. While Noah returned to his seat, Kei remained in his own world.
Kei: (Is this love? Am I in love? Is this what you call love at first sight? Wow, so this is love.)
Npc teacher: “Next is Kei.”
Kei: (I want to talk to him. How do I do that? Won’t he hate me? I just want to be friends...)
Npc teacher: “Kei, please come up.”
Kei: (But he’s out of my league. He’s way too cool. I wonder if he likes memes?)
Npc teacher: “KEI.”
Kei: “HUH? I mean yes?”
The now-mad NPC teacher says, “Come up and introduce yourself.”
Kei: “Okay.”
Kei gets up from his chair and walks to the front. He stares at the class and instantly freezes.
Kei: “H-hi, I-I’m K-k-kei. Nice t-to m-meet you.”
Kei says with a pained smile, quickly realizing how badly he messed up his introduction.
There’s small laughter throughout the classroom. Kei quickly sits back down.
Kei: (I guess I’ll die.)
He considers this thought for a moment but then remembers he has daily log-ins for tomorrow, so he reconsiders.
As the day continues, the class is as boring and dull as usual, to the point that Kei almost dozes off entirely.
Of course, the NPC teacher notices and gives him a good slap on the head with some newspapers.
Eventually, the class ends, and it will be a while until his next class starts. Kei decides to gather up the little courage he has and find Noah.
Kei: “Where is he???? Weren’t we just in the same class? How can someone disappear that quickly?”
But Kei doesn’t give up and searches the entire campus to find Noah. Finally, he sees Noah sitting on a bench underneath a pergola full of vines, reading a book quietly.
Kei: (The aesthetics are off the charts when it comes to him. Why is he sparkling in the sun? What kind of voodoo is this?)
Kei thinks as he watches from a distance, rubbing his eyes with concern that they may be broken.
Kei: (Nope, he’s just naturally beautiful.)
Kei accepts these facts rather quickly.
Kei: (Now, how to approach him... uh, in this one game I think if you offer bread—)
As Kei is still thinking of ways to talk to Noah, he suddenly hears a voice, followed by many others.
Some NPC woman: “Omg Noah? So, this is where you’ve been!”
Another NPC girl: “We were looking everywhere for you! Do you like to read? Omg, me too!”
More NPC girls join in: “Noah!? Where!??”
Kei barely blinks, and there’s already a huge crowd of girls surrounding Noah.
Noah doesn’t say anything but simply gets up.
Kei: (Huh? He got up.)
Then, Noah closes his book, takes a deep breath, and runs.
Kei: “EHHHH!???”
All the NPC women: “WHAT!?? AFTER HIM!!!”
The girls chase after Noah as he runs fast. Kei, not understanding what’s happening, runs after the women too.
At some point, Noah gets tired and is now cornered against a tree. When he finally stops, all the girls surround him and begin asking many questions.
Kei: “Oh? [wheeze] S-so he stopped running?”
Kei, out of shape, realizes this fact as he falls behind the girls quickly and only catches up now, wheezing and on the brink of exhaustion.
Kei: “NO! [wheeze] I won’t die! Not when I have this chance to talk to him!!”
He exclaims as he tries his best to push through the crowd of women to reach Noah. Little does he know, these women are powerful, and their elbow blows are lethal.
Kei gets knocked back, feeling the impact, he was badly beaten and even trampled on multiple times by a group of women.
When he regained consciousness, he found himself on the ground, covered in shoe prints.
Kei: (Of course Noah is gone by now.)
He sighed as he got up and limped back home. Though he didn’t really care about missing class, he was disappointed that he didn’t get a chance to talk to Noah.
Kei: "I’ll just raid until I pass out."
And that’s exactly what he did.
