Day 4: Possessive.

Work Text:

It was Friday and Hitoshi couldn’t wait for his training to be over. Don’t misunderstand him, he loved his sessions with Aizawa – they were the highlights of his days actually. However, Fridays were different. In every Friday night, he has dinner with his sensei and his family – meaning he could see his honorary little sister.

At first, he was not on good terms with the girl. Because of his rather scary appearance, Eri avoided him and whenever they had to meet, he hid behind his father, peaking out from behind his leg. But everything had changed on a faithful day when she found him tangled up in his own capturing weapon in Gym Gamma.

At first, she only giggled, but then burst out in loud laughter. It was such a contagious sound Hitoshi had to laugh himself. In the end, Eri helped entangle him and their bond only became stronger ever since. On exiting the forest, Hitoshi cloud already smell the scent of candy apple, even before seeing the person it was belonged to.

”Toshi!” The little girl squealed and Hitoshi crouched down, opening his arms.

Eri ran into his arms and he scooped her up, earning an adorable giggle. They rubbed their noses together – that was a special kind of greeting of theirs.

”Hey, Eri-chan! How was your day?” Hitoshi asked after Eri leaned away, but he didn’t get an answer.

The little girl started to squirm – a clear indication that she wanted to be let go. Hitoshi did as he was told and put her down. Eri grabbed his wrist and started pulling him towards the school’s direction, while turning back towards him.

”C’mon, Toshi! I want you introduce to someone!” Hitoshi raised one of his eyebrows hearing the excitement in her voice, but followed her nonetheless.

As they neared the school building, a silhouette of a person appeared in the distance. It was a male – Shinsou could tell that much from his height and board shoulders. When they got nearer, he could see that the other had spiky blond hair and kind, deep blue eyes. When they reached him, Eri let his wrist go and run up to the other, who ruffled her hair affectionately.

”This is Lemillion-san!” Eri introduced the stranger, turning back towards Hitoshi. ”He was one of the ones who saved me. He is my hero!” Hearing the last sentence, Shinsou’s stomach churned.

”Eri-chan, how many times did I tell you that you can call me Mirio?” The boy asked and Eri blushed. Mirio walked up to Hitoshi with Eri in tow and outstretched his hand towards the purple haired boy. ”Hi! My name is Togata Mirio! It’s nice to meet… you,” he said the last part with hesitation because of the growl that erupted from Shinsou’s chest.

The younger boy grabbed Eri’s arm without a second thought and pulled her behind him. He didn’t like how friendly that stranger was with his little sister. He didn’t like it at all. Mirio blinked twice because of the younger alpha’s behavior. He didn’t know what to do with it. Maybe, he wasn’t polite enough?

Eri tried to step out from behind him, but Hitoshi outstretched his arm, stopping her in it. Mirio narrowed his eyes and stepped one step forward. He hated when someone forced their will on others and the boy holding Eri back was a good example of that. Mirio felt a growl of his own building up in his chest when a hand collided with the back of Hitoshi’s head – strong and fast.

Shinsou swirled his head back, ready to snarl at the person behind him, but when he found himself face to face with two glowing red eyes, his knees wobbled involuntarily. The scent of authority coming from his sensei’s body hung in the air and Shinsou felt shame washing over his body. How could he behave so disrespectful towards one of his senpais? It was unforgiveable!

”I am deeply sorry for my former behavior, senpai!” He apologized, turning back towards Mirio. He bowed his head and balled his hands into fists. ”I’m Shinsou Hitoshi from Class 1-C. It is a pleasure to meet you!”

”Ah, don’t worry about it!” Mirio said quickly, trying to reassure the younger teen. ”I would totally react the same way if someone that I don’t know would be so friendly with one of my loved ones!”

Shinsou appreciated the effort, but his ears were burning because of the shame. He felt a hand being placed on the top of his head, ruffling his spiky hair.

”The youngster has to learn a thing or two about how to restrain his emotions,” Aizawa said and Shinsou felt his cheeks starting to burn as well, ”but he’ll get there eventually.”

”Midoriya’s told me some things about you,” Mirio said, turning his attention back to Hitoshi. Hitoshi flinched. He knew well what was the only context Midoriya could mention him. ”If I remember well, you two fought each other at the sports festival, right?”

”Really? Did you fight against Deku-san, Toshi? Did you win?” Eri bombed him with questions while stepping in front of him and grabbing both of his hands. Shinsou never wish for the ground to open up and swallow him more than in that moment.

”Midoriya did beat him, but it was a close call,” Aizawa informed Eri and Shinsou really wanted to glare at him, however, one disrespectful action was enough for a day.

”I bet you’d beat him next time Toshi!” Eri said with certainty in her voice. ”You’ve been practicing with daddy after all!”

At first, Hitoshi couldn’t believe his ears. Didn’t Eri think he is weak? Didn’t she think he is lame? He knew he was clamed up and that had to worry his little sister, so he took a deep breath and smiled at her.

”I’ll do everything in my power to beat him,” he promised and Eri beamed up at him.

”You really have a great big brother, Eri-chan,” Mirio said and Eri turned her head towards him.

”He is the best big brother ever!”
