Great story centered around Steve and Bucky’s friendship. It’s essentially a holiday fic built around several Christmas songs, particularly “I’ll be Home for Christmas. It shows their relationship across several significant years from the 40s and beyond. Some of the segments are so emotional and heartbreaking that I was holding back tears! Ultimately though, it was filled with love and had a joyous ending. Not so into the Steve/Sharon pairing normally, but it’s not the focal point, and it works well for the story. Despite all they go through, Steve and Bucky finally make it home, and that will always be with each other. Beautiful fic!
