IZUKU
1-A gets told they're going to be getting animals that reflect their personality ( Via a quirk ) and they have to take care of them for a month. Only they can't use Koda to help them. ( Because Koda's going on vacation )
Right off the bat, Izuku gets a dog. A big ol' boofer. No clue what the breed is, no one can figure it out. It looks like so many things, they just say "Mutt."
The instant the dog is pulled out of Izuku's chest, he's in love. ( The dog and Izuku )
Turns out the dog is also a service dog, they find out through various tests. So Izuku gets his baby a vest and leash and takes him on walks.
Mutt is so good. Big happy boy. Big lovely baby. Slobbery kisses.
And then Izuku has a moment where he's sucked into his head. He's muttering away, freaking out, and Mutt just nudges him gently at the hip with his nose. He gives off a very soft, very gentle whine. And Izuku drops to his knees and wraps his arms around his dog and sobs. And Mutt just does the dog front paw hug.
Izuku dreads giving him back, if that's even how it works. The very thought makes him so sick to his stomach that he actually throws up. How's he supposed to do anything without this good fucking boy?
But he has a whole two weeks left to figure that out.
He's going to enjoy every second he has with Mutt.
Some of the pets get to train with them, and Mutt is one of them. He's... he's amazing. Search, rescue, retrieval-- hell he's even good for intimidating people. Izuku doesn't want him to fight though.
Mutt can, and probably would if Izuku told him too, but...
That's his good boy.
He sleeps on the foot of Izuku's bed, he slobbers on his slippers, he rolls onto his back for belly rubs, he runs from Kaachan's cat!
Mutt saves lives. He will never take them.
"That tells us you're a Hero right down to your very core."
So Izuku cries a little more, Mutt picks him up, throws him on his massive back, carries Izuku back to the dorms like he's a bear instead of a dog.
He doesn't want to part with him.
But the quirk doesn't last forever.
Two weeks blinks by, and then the Quirk User shows up and Izuku has to fight tears. He... he doesn't want this.
"You know... I could just put him in an actual dog, right?" This tiny little 30 something says as Izuku cries big blubbery tears.
And that's how Izuku gets a massive stray service dog with pointed ears that look like a wolf’s but also a face like a pitbull but also a golden retriever? Mystery dog. It's never happened before.
