Work Text:

Izuku opened his door and stepped out of his car. Everything finally settled in. His husband has been cheating on him for a year. Shouto cheated on him because he was busy with work.

He hung his head and cried. He was always loyal. He never once thought of leaving for someone else. He did everything that was asked of him, so why did it have to end up this way?

He shook his head and unlocked the bakery’s door. He owned the building, but Shouto didn’t want to live in the apartment that was a floor up, so he rented it out to people. The current tenants were in the process of moving so he could take down the listing for an apartment.

He just went to the break room. He stayed there, not moving from where he sat. He was surrounded by the silence and didn’t want to disturb it. It was 7 am when his phone rang.

He slid it out of his pocket and was about to chuck it across the room. Then he saw the caller ID: Kirishima.

He picked up and sighed. “Kiri, what’s up?”

He heard sniffling and a weak whimper. “Izu, do you have somewhere I can stay?”

“Uh I guess you can bunk in the break room at my bakery. It’s where I’m staying at the moment.”

“W-why are you staying there?” Kirishima sounded surprised.

“Shouto cheated on me.”

“Katsuki cheated on me.” Izuku froze.

“You two were dating?”

“No, married.” Izuku took a deep breath and he heard Kirishima do the same. “He came home at 6 and was clearly intoxicated. He was talking about this ‘love’ and how he wanted to see him tomorrow. I-I was waiting for him and I… I slapped him. I left not long after.”

Izuku was shocked. “Kiri, listen, come over to the bakery and I’ll talk to you. I know who your husband cheated on you with.”

“Ok Izu, I’ll be there in five. See you soon.”

“Yeah.” Izuku hung up.

How? How could anyone hurt Kirishima like that? He was a sunshine incarnate and would never hurt anyone like Bakugou and Todoroki did.

He sighed and got a bench ready for when Kirishima got here. He opened one of the cabinets and took out two weighted blankets, two pillows and a big comforter. He was unsure how Kirishima slept on a padded bench, but this was the best he got.

He sat on one of the few chairs that occupied the room. He stayed there with his head in his hands, trying to figure out how to tell Kirishima that Katsuki was cheating on him with Shouto. He lost track of time and when the door opened to the break room he was startled. “Oh, hey Kiri.” It was only Kirishima.

Kirishima nodded at him and sat on the makeshift bed.

“So Izu, before anything, was Katsuki using you? Cause then you’d be cheating on Shouto and I’ll just leave if that’s the case.”

Izuku was shocked with how upfront Kiri was, normally the man was outgoing, but tried to bring up topics casually. Izuku huffed a laugh and shook his head.

“Naw. I’d never be into that bitchy blonde.”

“Ok. Sorry, I was just really worried when you said you knew who Katsuki was cheating with.” The red head scratched his neck and Izuku sighed.

“About that.” Kirishima looked at him with his full attention, hands in his lap and everything. “He was cheating on you with Shouto.”

It took a minute for the info to settle in. “B-but wait! Wouldn’t that mean Shouto was cheating on you ? Or did you get a divorce that you didn’t tell me about? You don’t have a ring on. Oh god! Did Shouto tell you about it?”

Izuku put his hand up, successfully silencing his friend. “No we didn’t get a divorce, yet. I walked in on them at five thirty-ish. They had apparently been doing this for nearly a year. I dropped the ring in the trash bin that’s in Shouto’s room.”

Kirishima tilted his head at the last bit. “You slept separately?” He nodded. “Man, that must suck.”

“It did for a while, but I got used to it.”

They talked the night away, neither wanting to be alone with their thoughts.

In the morning Izuku dressed in his work uniform and asked Kirishima to pack the blankets and pillows away. The redhead had nodded before Izuku left the room to open the bakery. Kirishima himself had to get to his shop so once he was finished putting the blankets away he left. Thanking Izuku for the hospitality. Izuku told him that he could stay the next night as well, which Kirishima graciously took the offer.

.

It’s now been three years and the two moved into the apartment above the bakery. They turned their ‘failing marriages’ into ‘successful divorces’.

They were happy being roommates, but sometimes the two thought they were something more. Most nights they shared a bed. They spooned, Izuku being the little spoon because of his height. They had what Ochako called ‘date nights’, to the red and green duo it was just their friday movie nights. They were practically inseparable.

It might’ve been the two bonding over their failed marriages, or how they just clicked, but to their friends they seemed to be dating. They kept denying it when they first moved in together, but at some point they accepted that they were something more than friends. Not exactly sure what though.

Today was a normal day, Izuku working the bakery and Kirishima out at his flower shop.

He handed one of his regulars a box of pastries. When they left the counter a tall hooded figure came to the teller and growled. Izuku tried to be nice. “Um hello there sir. How can I help you?”

He was grabbed by the collar of his shirt and lifted up. Patrons who were looking around the wonderfully decorated bakery gasped in shock. Everyone scattered for an exit, not wanting to be a victim.  “Deku.” The angry voice was familiar, it was the same one he heard when he caught Shouto cheating.

“What do you want Bakugou?” He smelled of alcohol and cigarettes. Izuku was worried he was drunk and here to kill him.

Izuku watched as Bakugou snarled, he looked at the clock and noticed it was only a few minutes till Eijirou would be home. “I want to get my husband back. You took him from me!”

“I wasn’t the one who cheated on him! You went and slept with Shouto so this is entirely on you .”

Bakugou reeled his hand back in a fist. Izuku prepared to get hit, it was just like when they were kids, but then the door opened. “Izuku!” The sunshine boy’s voice rang through the near empty building.

Bakugou’s eyes widened as he dropped Izuku and turned around. “Eiji.” Izuku stood up and Eijirou’s crimson red eyes met Izuku’s verdant.

“No, Bakugou, leave. ” Eijirou walked behind the counter and picked up the phone, dialing the police.

Bakugou stomped away when he heard the phone ringing.

They sat together three hours after the experience. “Izuku?”

They were cuddled on the couch they had in the middle of the apartment. “Mmh, yeah Eiji?”

Eijirou nuzzled into Izuku’s fluffy hair and sighed. “Are you okay?”

“Yeah.” Izuku leaned into the touch and smiled.

“You know what I mean Izuku.” Kirishima slid his hands around Izuku’s waist and brought him closer.

“And I mean what I said Eiji. I’m fine. Besides, I have you with me!” Izuku turned his head to smile at him, but his eyes immediately went to the tears streaming down Eijirou’s face. “Eiji. Hey Eiji, look at me.”

“Izuku, I don’t want him to take you away.”

Izuku’s eyes softened and he held Eijirou’s face. “Eiji. I won’t let him.”

Eijirou wrapped his arms around the smaller man, embracing Izuku and pulling him into a soft kiss. Izuku was surprised, but melted into the touch. The two had been together for three years, healing, crying, and caring. They couldn’t be seperated.

.

It was another year when the two announced that they were dating to their friends. Denki and Jirou were happy for them and Ochako threatened Eijirou. Tsuyu was glad they had each other and wished them well.

Three months after they told their friends someone came to visit.

Izuku was home alone and thought it might’ve been the Urarakas or Kaminaris, but when he opened the door he saw his ex. His eyes grew cold and he looked his ex in the eyes. “What the hell do you want Todoro?”

It was clear that Todoroki had been crying. “Izuku.”

“Just leave me alone Todoroki. My boyfriend is going to be home in five minutes. He’s punctual, unlike a cheating bastard I know.” He gave the man a side glare as he shut the door.

Three minutes later he got a text from his boyfriend.

Eiji : Hey hun. Why is Todoroki standing outside the bakery?

You : This may sound crazy, but he came to talk to me. I shut him out when he didn’t give a straight answer right away.

Eiji : Did you ask him to come over?

You : Like hell I would Eiji.

Eiji : Sorry. I just worry yunno.

You : I wasn’t mad Eiji. It was an honest question.

Eiji : Well I’m coming up. Love you hun.

You : Love you too bunny.

He put his phone away before Eijirou could blow it up with embarrassed messages.

He hummed as he worked on dinner and was thankful when he felt two arms wrap around his midsection. “Hey Eiji.” He leaned back into the body that was behind him.

“Hey hun. How was your day?”

“It was good. Aside from the two-faced asshole who came around.”

“I know.” Eijirou nuzzled into his neck and he sighed. “You smell nice Izu.”

Izuku giggled. “That’s ‘cause I work in a bakery Eiji.” He put down the spoon and turned to give Eijirou’s head a kiss. “You smell nice too.”

They were happy together.

They always had dinner together and never slept separately.

They never wanted anything else.

Notes:

This is for the six people who wanted an aftermath. There might be a third part, but this could also just be the place to end it. I'm kinda debating.

Anyways, have a great day/night!
