Work Text:

Pro Hero Deku was one of the youngest heroes in Japan while also simultaneously being one of its best as well.

The Ninth User of One For All was without a doubt a person you would most definitely want to avoid in a fight.

One punch would quite literally be all it would take to defeat some villains.

At the young age of 21, Deku was also a hero who never hesitated to help others in need, even other heroes like himself.

Which is why he was using his "Float" and "Black-Whip" quirks to zoom through the night sky of Musutafu.

He had received a call from local police about a situation at a bank downtown.

A bank robbery.

Nothing he couldn't handle.

When Deku arrived on the scene, via rooftop, he was surprised to see how calm and collected most of the citizens were. Well, in this age of quirks, bank robberies were somewhat more common than it had been a century ago but they also had a lower success percentage.

A petty robber with a quirk meant for crime was seriously no match for a fully trained Pro Hero with powers that could defeat literal villains.

So yeah, although there were about 6 masked men in there all brandishing guns while also most likely having quirks of their own, they wouldn't be out robbing banks if they had a more useful quirk.

As Deku viewed the scene through the glass roof of the bank, he was surprised to also see another Pro Hero on the scene.

Uravity!

Deku and Uravity were known to be quite close among the hero world, and they would often hang out on their off-days. They weren't a couple but the two definitely had feelings that weren't quite conventional for "friends."

So this was what she meant when she said she had "business to take care of" before ditching the plans they had set up for tonight.

What a cheeky girl.

Currently, she wasn't in the most desired position of all, as she had 6 men pointing guns in her face, but Izuku knew it wasn't anything she couldn't handle.

She faced worse after all.

Though, that didn't mean he couldn't lend her a helping hand of some sorts.

Ochaco felt someone's gaze on her and looked up at the glass roof to spot an all-too familiar messy mop of green hair!

He waved at her with a smile and she flashed him her own grin.

They were best friends after all, so they did have plenty of chemistry when it came to fighting together.

He made a thumbs up gesture and she nodded, confirming what he had in mind.

"Hey you gravity bitch! Don't move or we'll shoot! I mean it!" One of the robbers said

"You know its not very gentlemen-like to call a lady such a harsh word!" Ochaco feigned hurt as she stalled the robbers.

Deku took this as his cue.

With a flick of his wrist, the glass part of the roof of the bank shattered as he officially arrived on the scene.

"Fear not, I AM HERE!"

With a crack of his black whip, Deku was able to disarm the robbers while Uravity used the distraction of the debris caused by the glass to collapse a chandelier using her quirk.

The chandelier served as another distraction as she sneaked up behind one of the robbers and put her Gunhead martial arts training to good use.

Deku saw this and while he was confident she could've took all six by herself, he wanted to help her, just a little bit.

And so, that was the night Deku and Uravity took out 6 armed robbers in just a little over 12 seconds.

Afterwards, after receiving their praise from the crowd as well as being dismissed by the police chief, the two were free for the rest of the night.

As they walked out of the police department with their civilain clothes on, Deku asked her if their plans for tonight were back on.

She replied with a rather sly answer.

She put on a "thinking face" and replied.

"Hmmm... We could, or if you want, I'll show you just how grateful I am to you for having my back..." Ochaco replied with a wink and the tip of her toungue prodding from her mouth.

And so, that night, Deku knew that if it wasn't obvious before, it sure was now.

The pair definitely did not have a relationship suitable for "friends."
