They staying together after U.A. was something that did not surprise Tamaki. Deep in his heart, he had always known that they would stay by each other’s sides, no matter what their secondary gender would be. That knowledge only came true when it turned out he was an omega while this best friend was an alpha.
They bonded in their 3rd year at U.A. right after they had saved Eri. It happened on the first night which Mirio spent in his dorm room again. They had been already dating for three years by then, so it wasn’t a surprise for anyone.
The current situation, however, was like a punch in the guts for Tamaki. They graduated U.A. two years ago and he worked as a pro hero at Fatgum’s agency. Mirio still hadn’t gotten his quirk back, but he reassured them that he would wait for as long as he had to.
They had already talked about starting a family, but then came to the conclusion that both of them were still too young and wanted to wait with it a bit more.
Tamaki had his last heat a month ago and started to feel worse and worse in the last two weeks. He had morning sickness and when he went to the doctor that day, the woman said that there was a chance of him being pregnant.
”No way…” he mumbled under his breath as he watched the little stick in his hand – which showed that his fear was not causeless.
He clearly remembered that they had used protection, so he had no idea how did it happened. He heard a quiet knock from the other side of the door which made him jump a bit.
”So, it is true,” Mirio spoke up from the other side of the door. ”I suspected that it must be the cause.”
”H-how come?” Tamaki mumbled out the question, feeling himself on the verge of tears.
”When an omega gets pregnant, they smell like their alpha’s favorite food,” Mirio explained while opening the door. ”And you have been smelling like the most delicious ramen I have ever eaten, Tama,” he side and wrapped his arms around his mate.
”A-aren’t you angry?” Tamaki sniffled, burying his face into the other’s chest.
”Why would I be?” Mirio asked, perplexed. ”This baby came unplanned, that’s true, but I have been wanting to have a family with you since we got together in the last year of middle school.”
Tamaki wrapped his arms around Mirio’s middle section, feeling some tears slipping out from his eyes. Mirio cooed, starting to run his fingers through the bluenette’s hair. After a few minutes of crying, Tamaki looked up at Mirio, who kissed away the remaining tears from his face.
”I am so happy that you are not mad, ” he said. Mirio kissed him on the tip of his nose, the a huge smile appeared on his face.
”When should we tell it to everyone?”
Tamaki groaned and hid his face back to where it was hidden a few seconds ago.
