“Sanemin-sensei~! We heard you liked sweets so we made that for you!”
This is probably the tenth kid who gave him shit today. He tries to snarl just to stop this nonsense, but all he can manage is a stiff smile. “If you put as much energy into your grades in Math and made it so I don’t have to fail your asses, I’d probably like that more.”
The girls giggle at his ‘joke’. “I hope you like it! We love you sensei!”
Nope, not scary enough. He can only watch as the pink-faced girls giggle out the faculty room, much too happy for the vague threat he lobbed their way. As they leave, Sanemi presses his fingers at the bridge of his nose and tries his best not to look sour.
The girls almost bump into someone else as they leave the room. As said person regains his bearings, he looks right into Sanemi with concern. “Are you okay, Shinazugawa?”
“Yeah. Just great,” he grumbles. “Sheesh, these kids and their hormones. I don’t know how you do this every year, Tomioka.”
Tomioka Giyuu, having just walked the hallways, has his arms crammed to the brim with all sorts of confections and letters, wrapped in all hues of red and pink. Just his usual look the entire February, ever since the little chucklefucks learned that his birthday is less than a week from Valentine’s Day. For someone with a daily pile of gifts, he looks as glum as ever.
“I don’t, either,” Giyuu sighs, dropping all of that onto his desk. With his arms free, his eyes stray over to Sanemi’s desk and the modest build-up of sweets there. “Oh. You have chocolates too.”
Sanemi grunts noncommittally, eyes focusing on the more important paperwork on his desk. “Yeah. These kids are just like you, with their shit taste in guys.”
“But I don’t have--” Giyuu cuts himself off when Sanemi smirks. “You’re awful, Shinazugawa.”
His point exactly. Sanemi laughs as Giyuu pouts cutely. “Gimme a sec to finish these and we can go home.”
Giyuu huffs, but doesn’t complain further as his eyes stray on Sanemi’s gifts, pathetic and overshadowed by the literal mountain of gifts on his own desk. Even so, he looks at Sanemi’s pile as if they personally offended him, the frown deepening on his mouth as he quietly plucks out a note from it.
“To Sanemin-sensei. You must be the square root of -1 because those rock-hard abs can’t be real, ” Giyuu reads in the worst deadpan ever. Sanemi can’t stop the obnoxious guffaw, especially when Giyuu frowns at him. “You like things this, Shinazugawa?”
Not really. He thinks they’re awful, but Giyuu’s delivery just makes it. Sanemi picks out another random note and flicks it over to him. “Here, do this one.”
Giyuu, unamused, picks it up and reads: “Dear Sanemin-sensei. Please be the numerator to my denominator and reduce me to my simplest form. Love, R. from 3-Z.”
Holy shit.
“Sanemin-sensei. Math is hard, but not as hard as your pecs. My lust for you is exponentially growing-- no, this is inappropriate. This student should be reported to the disciplinary committee. Shinazugawa-- ”
It’s not so much the terrible pick-up lines that had Sanemi howling, but seeing his pretty boyfriend so pissed that makes it so entertaining. “What’s with that face? These dumb notes from those dumb kids got you bothered that much?”
Giyuu nods, putting his forehead against Sanemi’s shoulder, even if he shouldn’t. He must be that annoyed, as if a few forgettable high school girls ever posed a threat against him. And Sanemi thought he’s the possessive one between them.
“I hate it, okay? And I hate that I hate it,” he murmurs with a cute puff of his cheeks. “I don’t like hearing other people… want you, in that way. I’m being petty, but I’m just being honest.”
“You’re such a brat.” He’s terribly cute, though. He should push him away, lest anyone saw, but Sanemi doesn’t. Instead, he pats him fondly on the cheek and lets him simmer in his distaste there. Giyuu makes a soft noise, not too different from a smug approving cat. “Do those brats know how much of a brat you are? Bet they’d see you different if they found out.”
Giyuu hums and lifts his head up. “I’d rather let them see something else.”
And then there’s soft lips and teeth at the side of Sanemi’s neck, making it clear just what he wants them to see.
“Tomioka--”
“Hm?” Giyuu faces his look of warning with an innocent flutter of his eyes. “You don’t like it?”
“We’re in school, dipshit,” Sanemi murmurs, just as Giyuu presses another kiss at his jawline. “I’m serious, Tomioka. If anyone walked in right now--”
He cuts himself off when Giyuu’s fingers roam up his torso, teasing when he reaches bare skin, which isn’t that hard to do. The rumble rising up his chest goads, rather than dissuades Giyuu from giving attention to his chest that apparently made certain things rise exponentially.
“... I don’t mind if they saw,” Giyuu mutters petulantly. His kisses and bites sting a little hotter as he goes. If Sanemi didn’t know better, it sounds like he wanted someone to walk in right now and see their stoic gym teacher get physical with their math teacher, pun intended.
It’s all levels of inappropriate and Sanemi should really stop it, but his touches are too hot to ignore. “You’re such a brat.”
“Mm.” He feels Giyuu smile against his skin. “What are you going to do about it, Sanemin-sensei?”
“For starters, please take me to the nurse’s office so I can throw up.”
Sanemi curses under his breath, shoving an unrepentant Giyuu off of him so he could face the strained smile of the Student Council President. “Kochou,” he says, trying not to look too deadly annoyed about her interruption.
“Shinazugawa-sensei,” Kochou Shinobu answers sweetly, “And Tomioka-sensei. I ought to apologize for having my childlike innocence shattered by walking in on what must be a private faculty lesson, but I don’t want to.”
Giyuu releases a long-suffering sigh, the type that a teacher perpetually bullied by such a small student does often. “What are you doing here, Kochou?”
“I’m here to take Kochou-sensei home, as always.”
Sanemi clicks his tongue in annoyance. “She’s obviously not here,” he grumbles, as Shinobu walks towards Kanae’s desk at the other side of the room. “And if she were, didn’t you think that we would notice--”
“ Ara ara, Shinobu… just as it was getting hot and steamy~”
Sanemi and Giyuu choke at the same time, just as Shinobu drags her older sister by the hand out of the room. Kanae, far from looking ashamed for being caught peeping, waves at the two of them with glee.
“There’s chocolate syrup in the fridge if you want to get a little messier,” she chirps. “Just clean up afterwards, ‘kay? Happy Valentine’s, you two!”
“ Onee- san, gross. Just because you’re paying for my therapy,” Shinobu grumbles, before slamming the door behind her, locking it with feeling.
A silence ensues, followed by Sanemi’s facepalm. “Oh, those two are gonna pay. Just you wait.” And then he turns to Giyuu, who’s walking quietly over to the other end of the room. “Oi, where are you going?”
To the fridge, apparently, to get the chocolate syrup that Kanae mentioned. Giyuu takes the bottle and looks at Sanemi with twinkling eyes. “Sanemi--”
“What the fuck, Giyuu.”
“She offered,” he says, walking over to him and giving him the subtlest of suggestive smiles. Before Sanemi can stop him, he’s straddling his lap, kissing him sweeter than any chocolate can offer. “And I’m willing. So.”
Sanemi sighs, rolls his eyes, and reaches out for the chocolate syrup. “If we’re gonna make a mess, I know which desk we’re gonna do it on.”
Giyuu nods giddily as they switch locations to do shit that will definitely cause more people to need therapy.
