    "How much have you had to drink?" He laughed, trying to sound genuine. It came out strained.

    "You didn't answer my question."

    Shouto sighed; Izuku was being weirdly persistent, and it was vexing. He really didn't want to bring these feelings up, especially when they had been having such a nice moment. But he couldn't dance around the question--Izuku was too observant for that, tipsy or otherwise. So he gave him a half-truth.

    "I haven't really been interested in dating some else," he said, slowly. He hoped the answer would be enough. Instead he felt Izuku shift to face him and his heart dropped. Can't his poor emotions have a break?

    "Shouto?"

    "Yes, Izuku?" He huffed. He kept his eyes facing the dark sky.

    "Why won't you look at me?"
