Summary
It occurs to him that making deals with strange elves you find in mirrors is not a particularly wise thing to do, but then, Callum has never been very wise. What he has always been, is kind, and when he thinks of what it must be like to be trapped in a mirror, secreted away in a dusty tower with nothing but other dusty forgotten things for company, he thinks it must be very lonely.
All the Elf wants is someone to talk to. Is it so wrong of him to reach out?
(And perhaps, it's true, that curiousity killed the cat - but if satisfaction can bring it back, then Callum is going to find out firsthand)
