Work Text:
For all of his life, Sukuna has only known one thing: to consume.
He is an endless abyss of taking, and taking and taking until nothing is left before him, and time and time again, with his own four hands, he will grasp what he desires, and make them his. Akin to a black hole in space, his appetite is endless and insatiable, the hunger crawling and crawling up his throat and out of his mouth-
And when it comes to Yuji, it is the same.
The need to consume the young boy, who resembled him so much of his youth, of what he once was and Sukuna was not a man or a curse of sentiments, he had long lost that when he abandoned god and humanity and walked backwards into hell all too willingly.
His host had a charm, an innocence to him that makes his chest ache, his mouth water, the ravenous hunger crawl even harder. Sukuna wants to dig his claws into him and tear him apart, to break him down and corrupt every inch of him. To make him just like him.
Desire.
He wants, and he wants, and yet this time, he hesitates to take immediately.
He could wait. He could wait until the very end, when Yuji finally swallows all of his fingers, and he can finally take root in his depths, and devour him from within, then like a flower blooming out of him, he will take this vessel and make it his. Or perhaps, perhaps, Yuji would be the one consuming him instead, like he will eventually do, and take from him —
Sukuna could only shiver in delight at the thought, how intriguing, though improbable it might be. A human like Yuji, forcing him to give…
It was not impossible. After all, Sukuna was once human, a long time ago before he became what he is now. And if he could have done that, maybe, just maybe —
And even through this way, Sukuna would still corrupt, have already corrupted his host, his Yuji, and made their fates entwined. There were no such things as mere coincidences in the world, and Sukuna knows that as much as he takes, Yuji would be the same.
And wouldn’t that be poetic, if Yuji took, consumed, devoured him?
