Summary
The sword met his dagger with a loud metal clang as Katsuki fell to his knees and let his momentum carry him into a slide. The strength behind the sword swing bowed his back as his arms strained to push the sword up and over his head. The xiphos slid along his blade, sending a shower of sparks as the momentum of the sword carried it past him and sinking into the tree that it came from.
The moment the weight of the sword left his dagger, Katsuki threw his body forward and pushed off the ground. He launched his weight forward, attempting to get into a roll that would give him the inertia to get his feet under him while also getting away from his attacker. However, before he could get far, he felt a shield collide with his left side, throwing him to the right and off balance. Katsuki let a curse out as he stumbled and had to catch himself with his right hand. He couldn't get to his own sword in this position and thus threw out his left hand with the dagger blindly. He heard a chuckle before feeling a booted foot connect with his left thigh, just above his knee. He collapsed hard to his knees, his left hand still raised toward his attacker, but right arm failing to hold him up as it started to give at the elbow.
