“Once again, welcome aboard to today's flight from Seoul to Los Angeles and thank you for trusting Korean Airways. This was your captain speaking.”
With a sigh, Hoseok took off his orange tinted sunglasses and beanie as he leaned back on his airplane seat. After getting comfortable on the luxurious business class seat, he ran his manicured nails through his freshly dyed golden streaked hair. It was the first time Hoseok was flying to LA without the company of his 6 members so it was safe to say that the young rapper was a tad bit nervous, after all he was going to a place whose language he was not completely fluent in.
Once the plane was high up in the sky, Hoseok grabbed the camera his management had given to him so he could record parts of his little visit to LA and then share the memories with their beloved fans. He turned on the camera and positioned it on the table in front of him until he was able to find the perfect angle.
He gave himself a calculating look in the lens that were in front of him and then clicked on the recording button.
“So I’m up in the air but it still kind of feels so exciting that I’m on my way to the States to shoot a music video for a song that I’ve worked on with Becky G. But on the same side, its a bit nerve-racking too as I’ve never been to LA without the members. Actually Jungkook was supposed to come with me but a few things got in the way so he wasn’t able to come.” Hoseok spoke to the camera with a pout evident on his face. His hand reached out for the glass that was placed beside him as took a sip of the apple juice.
“It would’ve been good to have some company in LA but I’d like to think that this solo trip to the States will be beneficial for me in a way-” Involuntarily a yawn made its way through his lips. Hoseok glanced at the watch that was wrapped around his wrist to check the time.
“Well I think I should get a bit of some sleep now as I still have 7 hours of flight to go through so I’ll you all in LA.”
“Good morning from LA everybody!” the bright voice of the young rapper filled his hotel room as he was recording himself, once again, on the camera.
“Last night I was so sleepy that when I woke up today I was confused for a moment on where I am but now that I’ve taken a shower, I’m all set!” a bright smile was present on his lips as he talked to the camera. The young rapper walked over and took a seat in front the round table which had his breakfast laid out for him.
“You guys know that this is my first day alone in the states but to be honest with you right now, everything seems normal. When we all are on tour, we have our breakfast alone in our rooms so having breakfast alone in my hotel room does not feel unusual. It’ll probably hit me after I’ve gotten in the car to go to the shooting venue.
“Anyways, today I’ll share the recipe of my type of toast with you guys. Whenever I'm away from home, I always have my toast like this so this is a must have for me when we’re travelling. So first what you need to do is take your toast and spread a healthy amount of butter on it. Then after when you are done with the butter, take your jam and evenly apply it on toast. It tastes best with strawberry jam but right now as I only have blueberry jam, that'll work too. But if you have strawberry jam, use that one!”
Humming the tune of the song that was playing through his phone’s speakers, Hoseok reached forward and grabbed the plate of scrambled eggs.
“After the jam, you have to put bits of scrambled eggs on top and then our last item is going to be, bacon! Put the bacon on top of the eggs and there you have it! I like to call this recipe of mine ‘Toast of Hope’.” Hoseok said as he took a bite of the toast and his eyes closing in bliss.
“I once made this toast for Jungkookie and Jiminie too and they were blown away by the taste so if you ever get the chance, do try this recipe!”.
Hoseok was right when he said that the nerves would kick in once he left his hotel room. Currently he was sitting in the makeshift makeup room and was getting his makeup done while checking out the custom accessories they had laid out for him. The backup dancers were very kind to him despite the language barrier and so was his co-star, Becky but he still couldn’t shake off the nerves settling inside of him.
A few minutes after he had gotten his makeup done and had worn all of the accessories, the producer walked in to inform everyone that the shooting was about to start.
This wasn't the first time Hoseok was shooting alone, but it was his first shoot in the States surrounded by people he mostly wasn't familiar with. At that moment, Hoseok wished he had the members with him to provide him a bit of comfort. Hoseok took a deep breath, an attempt to settle the nerves settling inside of him and walked towards the set.
"They were huge! I never thought I'd see something like this!". The first half of the shooting had gone smoothly and Hoseok was now walking along with his manager on the set and telling him about monster trucks that were present at the back. "I'm sure the members would've loved to see the trucks."
After finishing the shooting, Hoseok bid farewell to the backup dancers and thanked them for being a part of his music video. Before he knew it, he was back in the luxurious business class seat of the airplane. He grabbed his phone and opened his group chat with the members and started to type a message.

A smile made its way on the young rappers lips as he was reading the messages his group members were sending him.

but...
its a really a hopeless world without you all

Hoseok chuckled as his phone was constantly ringing with the notification sounds from the incoming messages the members were sending him.

we all are truly hopeless without each other
its a relief that we are seven though
