We Rise With The Moon | VMon | TaeJoon

Summary:

Taehyung and Namjoon have struggled with their feelings for a long time.
And recently, Taehyung had noticed the growing distance between them. He didn't understand it nor did he find any answers from the other.
The other members were worried.
For how long will they stay apart and continue pinning? How long until one of them broke and there was no returning back?

Chapter Text

"Do you think they'll realize each others feelings soon? Or-" Jimin asked, but was cut off by Hobi hyung.

"Not a chance." he shook his head, and sighed. "We have watched them for over a year, and they're still like this."

"Who knows when we'll get to witness that lucky day, when these two idiots confess to each other."

Jimin frowned and looked across the hallway, and into the living room, where Taehyung was sitting beside the window, staring up at the sky.

He got like that, when he was deep in thoughts.

Besides, Jimin and Hoseok's room had a great view of the city, and Taehyung loved it.

But it irritated Jimin that the latter only came to his room, to sulk on the side, instead of speaking with his best friend.

Of course, Jimin knew when to give Taehyung space.

Right now though, he knew the reason behind Taehyung's dark mood, and he wanted to talk to him about it.

"Don't-" Hoseok whispered, shaking his head.

"What? I didn't even say anything." Jimin raised an eyebrow at his roommate.

"I know what you're thinking. You plan on talking to him."

Jimin opened his mouth and closed it again. It was true, he had played with that thought.

"Don't do anything."

"But-" Jimin bristled, his eyes wandering back to Taehyung's small form, knees pressed to his chest, looking out of the window. The anger in his chest grew.

He couldn't help it. He wanted to help his friend.

He didn't like Taehyung being this troubled in the mind, while he only watched from the sides.

"No." Hoseok placed a hand on his arm. "We can't interfere in this matter. I know you mean well, but it might complicate things."

Jimin bit down on his lip, his mind hard at work. What Hobi hyung said, was true.

"They need to work this out, on their own. We can't let our actions influence their decision."

"Tae and Joon have to solve this issue by themselves." Hoseok said in a soft voice.

"I'm just...worried." Jimin mumbled, turning to head to the kitchen, Hoseok following close behind him.

"I know. I feel the same." Hoseok sighed, and took the glass of water Jimin offered him. "It would have been easier for the two, if they weren't so close already."

"What do you mean?" Jimin asked.

"Namjoon-ah treasures the friendship he has with Taehyung. He doesn't want anything affecting it."

"He has always been like that with Taehyung, always keeping his needs first, and I guess he thinks, if he confesses it would be a burden for Taehyung." Hoseok explained.

"Did you talk with Namjoonie hyung, about this?"

"No." Hoseok gave him a sad smile. "I just know how his mind works. He will do anything to make the other comfortable, no matter how he feels about it."

"Yeah, I understand that." Jimin gave a slow nod.

It was no secret among the members, how much Namjoon treasured them.

He always put the members before himself.

He was the best leader BTS could have asked for, but sometimes, Jimin felt like the burden became too great for Namjoon hyung.

Sometimes, he thought the fine line between being a leader and being a member, made it difficult for Namjoon to relax.

He was always there to help them, help any one who needed help.

But when it came to himself, Jimin had never seen him seek out anyone unless it was absolute necessary.

Sometimes he would confide in Yoongi hyung or seek Jimin just to have a conversation.

But when it involved feelings, who did Namjoon go to? Jimin wondered.

He knew Namjoon hyung wouldn't come to him, thinking his feelings were a secret, and Jimin being Taehyung's friend might worsen things.

That left, Jin hyung, Hoseok hyung and Yoongi hyung.

Who helped Namjoon out in such things?

With everything Hoseok hyung had told him, he knew Namjoon hadn't seeked out his help.

Maybe Yoongi hyung...?

"Sometimes I think, Namjoon hyung is too hard on himself."

Hoseok chuckled. "You can't blame him for that. He's the leader of BTS. His actions are watched by the whole world. He has to be careful no matter what."

"Maybe that's why he doesn't make a move."

"You think the world will judge him?" Jimin asked.

"Not really. Given our position, I know the management will keep it under wraps. But that doesn't mean our people would approve of it."

"What? Who would dare-"

"Jimin-" Hoseok calls to him, voice calm and gentle. "They might not say it outright, but we're BTS. Our actions are always monitored."

"And this kind of relationship, could be hard to hide. The management will always take the effect his had on the image of BTS, before thinking about the members involved."

"It's the brand that comes first, before the people involves in it." Hoseok said. "That's how it works in this industry."

Jimin looked down at his hands, frowning. He never thought that far into the matter.

Maybe Hoseok hyung was right. It wasn't easy for Namjoon, being in the position he was.

Then...what about Taehyung. What were his thoughts?
