“Someone from the Bowers gang was arrested,” Stan replied. “Victor Criss. They’re trying to keep it under wraps, because he’s too important to the gang, and losing him even temporarily would render them a lot more vulnerable than losing an associate or even a soldier.”
“And that’s relevant to us how?” Eddie didn’t need to look to know Stan was rolling his eyes.
“They’re gonna come to us. Ask for bail money or maybe to get rid of charges entirely. They know full well we got the police in our pocket. And we need to be ready, Richie,” Stan’s last sentence was almost strained, like he knew Richie wouldn't take his point seriously enough. Well, Eddie couldn’t blame him for thinking that was a possibility.
“Don’t worry, Stan the Man, we’ll be ready,” Richie chuckled, making Stan sigh a little.
